    I'm doing some archiving to a property list and when I unarchive my data using NSKeyedUnarchiver I find that my app crashes if I release the object afterward. I was wondering if the finishDecoding message also autoreleases the object. Seems weird that it crashes when I release it.

  • ASP.NET mvc 2 Validation always shows errors on initial page load.

    I've searched around a lot, and honed this problem down to this case: I'm using the PRG pattern, pragmatically I'm using the same DTO for my post/get actions. It looks like when I have the dto with the data annotation attributes in the get action parameter list, the validation is always displaying errors, every time on initial page load. In some cases this could be desired behavior if you put asterisks in the error message, but how do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I have a requirement to show a list of all users along with the Last Activity Date. The application is .Net based. I found the MemberShip class provides the Last Activity date. However, this does not work when the MemberShip provider is ActiveDirectory Link to MSDN page because the ActiveDirectoryMemberShipUser does not implement the LastActivityDate property. Is there any workaround or other way, I can get the LastActivityDate of the user in the application. Thanks for any info

  • I have VS2010 Ultimate. Shouldn't TFS Server be included?

    Dumb question I'm sure, but when I log onto my MSDN subscription account, I don't see Team Foundation Server in the list of available for download software application. I thought it was supposed to come with VS2010 Ultimate, which I could download. Is it a separate download? Could it be that my MSDN account level gives me access to VS2010 but that I am still not entitled to TFS? I'd like to install it instead of using VSS.

  • Microsoft Word Document Controls not accepting carriage returns

    So, I have a Microsoft Word 2007 Document with several Plain Text Format (I have tried Rich Text Format as well) controls which accept input via XML. For carriage returns, I had the string being passed through XML containing "\r\n" when I wanted a carriage return, but the word document ignored that and just kept wrapping things on the same line. I also tried replacing the \r\n with System.Environment.NewLine in my C# mapper, but that just put in \r\n anyway, which still didn't work. Note also that on the control itself I have set it to "Allow Carriage Returns (Multiple Paragrpahs)" in the control properties. I'm getting some Lazy init Exception on the frontend when I try to compare the equality or when I print the obj state. That's because some list in the entity can be lazy initialized. I'm wondering what's the correct way to for implementing equals() and toString() on an entity object.

    How would you prompt the user for some input but timing out after N seconds? Google is pointing to a mail thread about it at http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2006-January/533215.html but it seems not to work. The statement in which the timeout happens, no matter whether it is a sys.input.readline or timer.sleep(), I always get: <type 'exceptions.TypeError'>: [raw_]input expected at most 1 arguments, got 2 which somehow the except fails to catch.

  • Why C# IntelliSense is delayed compared to VB.NET?

    In VB.NET projects, errors are highlighted immediately after cursor leaves the line. IN C#, I have to wait several seconds for IntelliSense to highlight it. Also, C# version doesn't show all project errors in "Errors List", unless you start to build it. Actually, it seems to work differently in every way. Is it possible to adjust that behavior?

  • Asp.net ajax combobox doesn't display correctly when inserted inside a tab control.

    Hi everybody, I have a display problem when I try to use a ajax combobox inside a tab control: when my tab control loads on the page where the combobox is, everything works fine; however, if it loads on a another page, the you change to the page which contains the combobox, the right button (which opens the list of the combobox) isn't displayed at all. Has someone been through this behavior? And maybe found a solution ? Thanks in advance !
