  • Increment an index that uses numbers and characters

    I have a string based code that can be either two or three characters in length and I am looking for some help in creating a function that will increment it. Each 'digit' of the code has a value of 0 to 9 and A to Z. some examples: the first code in the sequence is 000 009 - next code is - 00A 00D - next code is - 00E AAZ - next code is - AB0 the last code is ZZZ. Hope this makes some sense.

    Hi, I am having a problem. I have some prices in a checkout displayed, they are "discount prices." How can I get these values from my page and add them together to display in a new div? I have two prices for two products 1000 and 2000, I want to be able to add these together to make 3000 and display it as a total in a new div. Example of what I'm going for here.     I'm trying to create some application for Windows Phone = 7.1 During plannin my work and specyfiong technical requirements I've come across one problem. I wan't to have free application with basic functionality. And then it should be extendable with some non-free extensions (dlls?, databases?, SaaS?) Is it possible at the moment to use some MS api/app/etc. to be able to publish such extensions and sell them? What is the best way to do this if there is more than one solution? Trying to display a hebrew string that starts with a number, always displays the number at the end of the string like so: 1. ??? ???? ????? but I need the number to be displayed at the right side of the text- any solution to that? It happens with UILabel & UITextField & UITextView and trying to write the number at the left side also produce the same resault. Playing with combinations of UITextAlignment will doesn't help.

    I'm trying to write a regular expression which specifies that text should start with a letter, every character should be a letter, number or underscore, there should not be 2 underscores in a row and it should end with a letter or number. At the moment, the only thing I have is ^[a-zA-Z]\w[a-zA-Z1-9_] but this doesn't seem to work properly since it only ever matches 3 characters, and allows repeated underscores. I also don't know how to specify requirements for the last character.

    Using bash, I have a list of strings that I want to use to replace an int. Here's an example: day1=Monday day2=Tuesday day3=Wednesday day4=Thursday day5=Friday day6=Saturday day7=Sunday If I have an int, $dow, to represent the day of the week, how do I print the actual string? I tried this: echo ${day`echo $dow`} but get error of "bad substitution". How do I make this work? Note: I can change the $day variables to a list or something.

    Hello! I'm trying to come up with a lightning fast solution to find portions in a string. Here is a Sample string: "PostLoad successful! You transferred amount of 17.00 Rs to 03334224222. Now use PostLoad by dialing 123. PostLoad on SMS will end on 01-03-2011." Objective: Need to retrieve the bold values: Amount and Cell Number. The string contents change slightly but the cell number will always be a 11 digit. The amount is always with two decimal precision. Any suggestions using C# and RegEx?

Outloock WP7 included in the operating system then updates the icon so that you can see that there are new mail. This is a process in the background running. But I've read a bit about this now, but can not find out that this is possible using the SDK from Microsoft? Is it not possible?? If possible, how does one do that? Notice: I do not want any solution that involves jailbreak.

    I'm looking at writing a application that need to be able to handle in the region of 200 connections / sec and was wondering if C# and .NET will handle this or if I need to really be looking at C++ to do this? It looks like SocketAsyncEventArgs may be the way to go but thought id check before I plough in to it. Each transaction should only last less than a second but could take up to 15 seconds each if that makes any difference.

But it's always changes only latest element of array (8). Why?
