  I am developing an application in Struts2 with Twitter4J at GAE/J. I am getting following exception in the GAE log. • WCF MessageHeaders in OperationContext.Current

  If I use code like this [just below] to add Message Headers to my OperationContext, will all future out-going messages contain that data on any new ClientProxy defined from the same "run" of my application? • Objective C / iPhone comparing 2 CLLocations /GPS coordinates

  have an app that finds your GPS location successfully, but I need to be able to compare that GPS with a list of GPS locations, if both are the same , then you get a bonus. I thought I had it working, but it seems not. I have 'newLocation' as the location where you are, I think the problem is that I need to be able to seperate the long and lat data of newLocation. • KeepAlive packets over a Soap request

  I've been debugging some Soap requests we are making between two servers on the same VLAN. The app on one server is written in PHP, the app on the other is written in Java. I can control and make changes to the PHP code, but I can't affect the Java server. The PHP app forms the XML using the DOMDocument objects, then sends the request using the cURL extension. When the soap request took longer than 5 minutes to complete, it would always wait until the max timeout limit and exit with a message like this: Operation timed out after 900000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received After sniffing the packets that were being sent, it turns out that the problem was caused by a 5 minute timeout in the network that was closing what it thought was a stale connection. There were two ways to fix it: bump up the timeout in iptables, or start sending KeepAlive packets over the request. To be thorough, I would like to implement both solutions. Bumping up the timeout was easy for ops to do, but sending KeepAlive packets is turning out to be difficult. The cURL library itself supports this (see the --keepalive-time flag for the CLI app), but it doesn't appear that this has been implemented in the PHP cURL library. I even checked the source to make sure it wasn't an undocumented feature. So my question is this: How the heck can I get these packets sent? I see a few clear options, but I don't like any of them: Write a wrapper that will kick off the request by shell_execing the CLI app. This is a hack that I just don't like Update the cURL extension to support this. This is a non-option according to Ops. Open the socket myself. I know just enough to be dangerous. I also haven't seen a way to do this with fsockopen, but I could be missing something. Switch to another library. What exists that supports this? Thanks for any help you can offer.

  I just built a new proxy server and compiled the latest versions of squid and dansguardian. We use basic authentication to select what users are allowed outside of our network. It seems squid is working just fine and accepts my username and password and lets me out. But if i connect to dans guardian, it prompts for username and password and then displays a message saying my username is not allowed to access the internet. Its pulling my username for the error message so i know it knows who i am. The part i get confused on is i thought that part was handled all by squid, and squid is working flawlessly. • Creating A Single Generic Handler For Agatha?

  I'm using the Agatha request/response library (and StructureMap, as utilized by Agatha 1.0.5.0) for a service layer that I'm prototyping, and one thing I've noticed is the large number of handlers that need to be created. It generally makes sense that any request/response type pair would need their own handler. However, as this scales to a large enterprise environment that's going to be A LOT of handlers. What I've started doing is dividing up the enterprise domain into logical processor classes (dozens of processors instead of many hundreds or possibly eventually thousands handlers). The convention is that each request/response type (all of which inherit from a domain base request/response pair, which inherit from Agatha's) gets exactly one function in a processor somewhere. The generic handler (which inherits from Agatha's RequestHandler) then uses reflection in the Handle method to find the method for the given TREQUEST/TRESPONSE and invoke it. If it can't find one or if it finds more than one, it returns a TRESPONSE containing an error message (messages are standardized in the domain's base response class). The goal here is to allow developers across the enterprise to just concern themselves with writing their request/response types and processor functions in the domain and not have to spend additional overhead creating handler classes which would all do exactly the same thing (pass control to a processor function). However, it seems that I still need to have defined a handler class (albeit empty, since the base handler takes care of everything) for each request/response type pair. Otherwise, the following exception is thrown when dispatching a request to the service: StructureMap Exception Code: 202 No Default Instance defined for PluginFamily Agatha.ServiceLayer.IRequestHandler`1[[TSFG.Domain.DTO.Actions.HelloWorldRequest, TSFG.Domain.DTO, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null]], Agatha.ServiceLayer, Version=1.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6f21cf452a4ffa13 Is there a way that I'm not seeing to tell StructureMap and/or Agatha to always use the base handler class for all request/response type pairs? Or maybe to use Reflection.Emit to generate empty handlers in memory at application start just to satisfy the requirement? I'm not 100% familiar with these libraries and am learning as I go along, but so far my attempts at both those possible approaches have been unsuccessful. Can anybody offer some advice on solving this, or perhaps offer another approach entirely?

  I have a WPF app that I'm deploying to a network path using ClickOnce deployment. After the app is deployed to a network location, I use the ClickOnce html page to launch the installation process. I am successfully able to download and install the app. However, my users are not able to download and install the app. When a user navigates to the ClickOnce html page and clicks to begin the installation process, the following error message is received: ERROR SUMMARY Below is a summary of the errors, details of these errors are listed later in the log. * Activation of http://software.mycompany.com/myapp/myapp.application resulted in exception. Following failure messages were detected: + Downloading file://dev/webs/software/myapp/myapp.application did not succeed. * [4/5/2010 1:56:59 PM] System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDownloadException (Unknown subtype) - Downloading file://dev/Webs/software/myapp/myapp.application did not succeed. All signs point to this being a security issue. So, I've done the following: Ensured that "Everyone" had read access to the files that were being deployed as part of my project Ensured that "Everyone" had read access to the network location where the app was deployed (//dev/webs/software/myapp) Ensured that "Everyone" had read access to the IIS path where the ClickOnce html page is located In each of these cases, I've made no progress in getting the app to successfully deploy via ClickOnce. Again, the odd thing is that I am able to successfully walk through the process of downloading and installing the app. It's my users, though, that need the ability to download and install the app. I've looked extensively on the web for answers, but there hasn't been much. • MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND on OpenMsgStore

  Hi, I'm trying to open the MessageStore of a user using MAPI. The weird thing is, when I run this a console application, while I'm logged with the user, everything works fine. But when I run this as a Windows Service I get MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND when trying to open the MessageStore. I already configured the service to run as the user. MapiLogonEx seems to work fine and GetMsgStoreTables also gives me the correct results (I verfied that the EntryID of the MessageStore is correct).   Hi, I wrote an IHttpModule that compress my respone using gzip (I return a lot of data) in order to reduce response size. It is working great as long as the web service doesn't throws an exception. In case exception is thrown, the exception gzipped but the Content-encoding header is disappear and the client doesn't know to read the exception. How can I solve this? Why the header is missing? I need to get the exception in the client. • How to deploy on a remote machine using hudson's WAS Builder Plugin?

  I have a hudson build server (Windows) that does not have Websphere installed. I created a Hudson node that I connect to via SSH. I also installed the WAS Builder Plugin to run jython scripts on the AIX machine. The job that uses the WAS Builder Plugin is tied to the AIX box. I run into errors. Does anybody know, whether that setup might work or if a different setup will work for the WAS Builder Plugin?   There wasn't much on google about this error, so I'm askin here. I'm switching a PHP web application from using MySQL to SQL Server 2008 (using ODBC, not php_mssql). Running queries or anything else isn't a problem, but when I try to do scope_identity (or any similar functions), I get the error "Executing SQL directly; no cursor". I'm doing this immediately after an insert, so it should still be in scope. Running the same insert statement then query for the insert ID works fine in SQL Server Management Studio. Here's my code right now (everything else in the database wrapper class works fine for other queries, so I'll assume it isn't relevant right now): function insert_id(){ $x = $this->query_first("SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY('session_log') as insert_id"); echo "($x)"; return $x; } query_first being a function that returns the first result from the first field of a query (basically the equivalent of execute_scalar() on .net). • Removing and adding persistent stores to a core data application

  I'm using core data on an iPhone application. I have multiple persisntent stores that I'm switching from one to another so that only one of the stores can be active at the time. I have one managed object context and the different persistent stores are similar in data format (sqlite) and share the same managed object model. I'm importing the data to each persistent store from a respective XML file. For the first import everything works fine, but after I remove the imported data (the persistent store and the physical file) and then re-import, core data gives me an error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSObjectInaccessibleException', reason: 'The NSManagedObject with ID:0x3c14e00 <x-coredata://6D14F11E-2EA7-4141-9BE8-53747DE6FCC6/Book/p2> has been invalidated.' This error comes from the save: of NSManagedObjectContext. Before re-importing, i'm removing the persistent store from the persistent store coordinator and removing the physical file, so everything should be as if re-importing was done for the first time. Alos, the objects in managed object context are removed and the context is sent the reset: message (I don't know if this is actually needed). Could some one help me out here? How should the persistent store be switched? I'm basically using the same logic as tutored here: http://blog.sallarp.com/iphone-core-data-uitableview-drill-down/ Thanks in advance.

  I've been struggling for the past couple days to get post-commit email notifications working on my SVN server (running via HTTP with Apache2 on Ubuntu 9.10). SVN commits work fine, but for some reason the hooks are not being properly executed. Here are the configuration settings: - Users access the repo via HTTP with the apache dav_svn module (I created users/passwords via htpasswd in a dav_svn.passwd file). dav_svn.conf: <Location /svn/repos> DAV svn SVNPath /home/svn/repos AuthType Basic AuthName "Subversion Repository" AuthUserFile /etc/apache2/dav_svn.passwd Require valid-user </Location> I created a post-commit hook file that writes a simple message to a file in the repository root: /home/svn/repos/hooks/post-commit: #!/bin/sh REPOS="$1" REV="$2" /bin/echo 'worked' > ${REPOS}/postcommit.log I set the entire repository to be owned by www-data (the apache user), and assigned 755 permissions to the post-commit script when I test the post-commit script using the www-data user in an empty environment, it works: sudo -u www-data env - /home/svn/repos/hooks/post-commit /home/svn/repos 7 But when I commit on a client machine, the commit is successful, but the post-commit script does not seem to be executed. I also tried running a simple script for the pre-commit hook, and I get an error, even with an empty pre-commit script: "Commit failed (details follow): Can't create null stdout for hook '/home/svn/repos/hooks/pre-commit': Permission denied" I did a few searches on Google for this error and I presume that this is an issue with the apache user (www-data) not having adequate permissions, specifically to execute /dev/null. I also read that the reason post-commit fails silently is because that it doesn't report with stdout. Anyway, I've also tried giving the apache user (www-data) ownership of the entire repository, and edited the apache virtualhost to allow operations on the server root, and I'm still getting permission denied /etc/apache2/sites-available/primarydomain.conf <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!   Hello, In order to fill a datagridview according to the selectedvalue of a combobox I've tried creating a stored procedure. However, as I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing it, depending on the WHERE statement at the end of my stored procedure, either returns everything within the table or nothing at all.   I am passing user defined classes over sockets. The SendObject code is below. Frustrating! Ohh. I think its because the UserData class has a DataSet inside it. Funnily enough I have seen this work, but then after 1 request it goes loopy and I can't get it to work again. Anyone know why this might be? I have looked at comparing the dlls to make sure they are the same on the WebServer and on my local machine and they look to be so as I have turned on versioning in the AssemblyInfo.cs to double check. Edit: Ok it seems that the problem is with size. If I keep it under 1024 byes ( I am guessing here) it works on the web server and doesnt if it has a DataSet inside it.k In fact this is so puzzling I converted the DataSet to a string using ds.GetXml() and this also causes it to blow up. :( So it seems that across the network something with my sockets is wrong and doesn't want to read in the data.   I'm trying to use the mozrepl Firefox extension to give me a Javascript REPL from within emacs. I think I've got it set up correctly. I can interact with the REPL from emacs and can explore the document pretty much as described in the tutorial pages. The problem comes when I try to do something really simple, like get a context to a canvas element: repl> document.getElementById("mycanvas").getContext("2d") !!! • jQuery Bounce ignores positioning

  I'm having a problem trying to use the jQuery effect "bounce" on an absolutely position div inside of a relatively positioned div. The #Bounce div is positioned to be slightly above the container div and when a certain message is received it is supposed to bounce on top of it. But what ends up happening is that the #bounce div drops down into the container div and bounces inside of it till it stops and then correctly repositions itself on top of the container div. This same code is working in Firefox but doesn't seem to be working in Webkit or IE.
