• Does 20,000 free downloads mean at least 500 paid sales? [closed]

  I have found certain shareware software products have large number of downloads. My question is if there are some 20,000 free downloads, how many of the downloaders would have actually bought and paid for this software? For Conversion sake consider the FastStone Image viewer which is actually free http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm but what could it earn if it was charged 30$ and about 10,000 downloads. Have any-of you have experience in selling such a product

  I got this when I tried to install the source code on Windows Server 2008 R2, and this was an issue with EntLib 4.0 as well. The solution is the same now as it was then, but since I had a new OS install I didn't recreate the fix.   i am trying to run the 'connector' example that comes bundled with smartfoxserver2x downloads..there it connects to the server and loads the correct configuration file. when i run it in adobe flash professional 5,it runs correctly and connects to the server but after being published as SWF movie,it doesnt work.it loads the configuration file but cant connect and gives error connection failure..ERROR 2048 this is the example i am talking about. http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/ExamplesFlash/connector

  In Google Analytics, there is extensive information on the mobile device, version and browser version. However, this doesn't seem to go beyond the mobile browser. I would like to determine which application is responsible for visits to my site. • My home folder disappeared after using Chroot/debootstrap. Can it be recovered?

  I was following the instructions from http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOn64bit but stopped after cloning wine. Afterwards I closed the terminal and terminated the process when asked. Ubuntu threw up an error report and when I tried to cd to ~/Downloads it was gone, along with all the other directories. So I tried restarting Ubuntu, whereupon I was greeted with the default desktop and home directory. Can I recover my home folder or has it been deleted?
