  • How to activate revision info in line number view

    I know of an Eclipse feature to show revision information (gradual coloring, more info like revisionnumber, date and author on mouseover) for the last changes in a line in the linenumbers-view. Does anyone know how to activate this feature for a file, or even better, by default? I accidently hit some shortcut lately which made it show in one file, it does not show up in the others, though.

    I somehow cannot achieve that the a-tag looses its default action when clicking it: <a href="#" class="button dismiss">dismiss</a> $(document).ready(function() { $('.dismiss').click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); $('#output').empty(); $('#MyUploadForm .button').show(); }); }); When I click the button, the browser window scrolls to the top. What is wrong here?

    I have 4 check boxes and by default they are checked and depending on these check boxes i have to show a value some where else. for ex: suppose for first checkbox i say 1, second 2 ,third 3 and fourth 4 so initially i store this value in a string name dg="1,2,3,4" if the user unchecks the second check box the value in my dg must be showing : dg="1,3,4" And again if the user checks the second chekbox , my dg must store the value : dg="1,2,3,4" How to achieve this?   • Python UTF-8 can't decode byte on 32-bit machine

    it works fine on 64 bit machines but for some reason will not work on python 2.4.3 on a 32-bit instance. i get the error 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 76-79: invalid data for the code try: str(sourceresult.sourcename).encode('utf8','replace') except: raise Exception( repr(sourceresult.sourcename ) ) it returns 'kazamidori blog\xf9' i have modified my site.py file to make UTF8 the default encoding, but still doesnt seem to be working.

  • svn for emacs: how do you set author name and save password

I am trying to move to emacs from eclipse but I can't for the life of me figure out how to set my svn author name so it doesn't default the author name OR save the password so I don't have to type it in any each time. Can I get it so that it will read the play object from a cache without making it lazy loading? Am I correct that eager loading will force it to do a join query and hence no caching?

    Find the errors from following C function : char* f(int i) { int i; char buffer[20]; switch ( i ) { 1: strcpy( buffer, "string1"); 2: strcpy( buffer, "string2"); 3: strcpy( buffer, "string3"); default: strcpy(buffer, "defaultstring"); } return buffer; } this is c funtion not C++, I think it has to do with type conversion my compiler give warning that declaration of int i shadows a parameter.

    Hi, I'd like to know how people decide whether to define a method as static. I'm aware that a method can only be defined as static if it doesn't require access to instance fields. So lets say we have a method that does not access instance fields, do you always define such a method as static, or only if you need to call it statically (without a reference to an instance). Perhaps another way of asking the same question, is whether you use static or non-static as the default? Thanks, Don

  • How to apply query to model if field not filtered

    I have a range of modules running on generator.yml. In some of those I would like to hide records by default of Status: CLOSED (being the last of a range of Statuses). OF course if the user filters for CLOSED i want to show these records. I thought it would make sense to apply andWhere('status_id=?',Status::CLOSED) in a specific table_method , but how do I access the filters of the module from within the model? Is there a better way to do this?

Is there a library that can take care of generating a URL from a File that is in the correct format for the current environment?

    I am considering building several C#/.NET4 applications all using a central, cloud based database. In addition, several LAMP (MySQL) web shops will be accessing the cloud DB. MySQL is the database that I'm most familiar with, and my default selection for the cloud DB would be MySQL on Amazon or Joyent. However, I was wondering what development "extras" are available for SQLServer in VisualStudio 2010 that are not available for MySQL. Are there any "killer features" that should make me consider SQLServer instead of MySQL?
