  • How do I fully reload my Sencha Touch App when tapping 'refresh'?

    - by torr
    My list view layout is similar to Pinterest, with absolutely positioned blocks. Unfortunately, this seems to require a full re-initialization at refresh. If reload only the store (as below) the new blocks are incorrectly positioned. How do I reload the app when the user clicks on refresh? This is my View: Ext.require(['Ext.data.Store', 'MyApp.model.StreamModel'], function() { Ext.define('MyApp.view.HomeView', { extend: 'Ext.navigation.View', xtype: 'homepanel', requires: [ 'Ext.dataview.List', ], config: { title: 'Home', iconCls: 'home', styleHtmlContent: true, navigationBar: { items: [ { xtype: 'button', iconMask: true, iconCls: 'refresh', align: 'left', action: 'refreshButton' } ] }, items: { title: 'My', xtype: 'list', itemTpl: [ '<div class="post">', ... '</div>' ].join(''), store: new Ext.data.Store({ model: 'MyApp.model.StreamModel', autoLoad: true, storeId: 'stream' }), } } }); }); Model: Ext.define('MyApp.model.StreamModel', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', config: { fields: [ 'post_id', 'comments' ], proxy: { type: 'jsonp', url: 'http://My.com/app', reader: { type: 'json', } } } }); and my Controller: Ext.define('MyApp.controller.RefreshController', { extend: 'Ext.app.Controller', requires: [ 'Ext.navigation.View' ], config: { control: { 'button[action=refreshButton]': { tap: 'refresh' } } }, refresh: function() { // Ext.StoreMgr.get('stream').load(); // here I'd like to reload the app instead // not just the store } });

  • JavaScript onchange, onblur, and focus weirdness in Firefox

    - by typoknig
    On my form I have a discount field that accepts a dollar amount to be taken off of the total bill (HTML generated in PHP): echo "<input id=\"discount\" class=\"text\" type=\"text\" name=\"discount\" onkeypress=\"return currency(this, event)\" onchange=\"currency_format(this)\" onfocus=\"on_focus(this)\" onblur=\"on_blur(this); calculate_bill()\"/><br/><br/>\n"; The JavaScript function calculate_bill calculates the bill and takes off the discount amount as long as the discount amount is less than the total bill: if(discount != ''){ if(discount - 0.01 > total_bill){ window.alert('Discount Cannot Be Greater Than Total Bill'); document.form.discount.focus(); } else{ total_bill -= discount; } } The problem is that even that when the discount is more than the total bill focus is not being returned to the discount field. I have tried calling the calculate_bill function with onchange but neither IE or Firefox will return focus to the discount field when I do it like that. When I call calculate_bill with onblur it works in IE, but still does not work in Firefox. I have attempted to use a confirmation box instead of an alert box as well, but that didn't work either (plus I don't want two buttons, I only an "OK" button). How can I ensure focus is returned to the discount field after a user has left that field by clicking on another field or tabbing IF the discount amount is larger than the total bill?

  • Properly populating tables in an Object Relational database

    - by chaosTechnician
    I've got a homework assignment that requires that I use Oracle 10g Express to implement an Object Relational database to track phone billing data. I have a superclass of Communications with subclasses of Call, Text, and Data. I'm hitting a snag with properly populating these tables so that I can find the appropriate data in the various tables. My Types and Tables are declared as such: create type CommunicationType as object ( -- column names here ) not final; create type CallType under CommunicationType ( -- column names here ); create type TextType under CommunicationType ( -- column names here ); create type DataType under CommunicationType ( -- column names here ); create table Communications of CommunicationType ( -- Primary and Foreign key constraints here ); create table Calls of CallType; create table Texts of TextType; create table Datas of DataType; When I try to insert data into one of the subclasses, its entry doesn't appear in the superclass. Likewise if I insert into the superclass, it doesn't show up in the appropriate subclass. For example, insert into Calls values (CallType( -- Values -- )); doesn't show any data in Communications. Nor does insert into Communications values (CallType( -- Values -- )); show anything in Calls. What am I doing wrong?

  • ASP .NET, Javascript, AjaxControlToolkit render results with Selenium?

    - by Seth
    I'm a newbie to web stuff. However, I wish to scrape some data from multiple websites. I'm currently using the following technologies: Selenium; Python; and BeautifulSoup; I believe the site I am trying to scrape is using a combination of ASP.NET, javascript and the AjaxControlToolkit. I believe the key results I am looking for are in the following script: <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ Sys.Application.initialize(); Sys.Application.add_init(function() { $create(AjaxControlToolkit.AutoCompleteBehavior, {"completionInterval":50,"completionListCssClass":"autocomplete_completionListElement","completionListItemCssClass":"autocomplete_listItem","completionSetCount":20,"delimiterCharacters":"","highlightedItemCssClass":"autocomplete_highlightedListItem","id":"ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_AutoCompleteExtender1","minimumPrefixLength":4,"serviceMethod":"GetSchoolNames","servicePath":"AutoComplete.asmx"}, {"itemSelected":ItemSelected}, null, $get("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_SchoolNameTextBox")); }); Sys.Application.add_init(function() { $create(AjaxControlToolkit.AutoCompleteBehavior, {"completionInterval":50,"completionListCssClass":"autocomplete_completionListElement","completionListItemCssClass":"autocomplete_listItem","delimiterCharacters":"","highlightedItemCssClass":"autocomplete_highlightedListItem","id":"ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_AutoCompleteExtender2","minimumPrefixLength":2,"serviceMethod":"GetSuburbNames","servicePath":"AutoComplete.asmx"}, null, null, $get("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_SuburbTownTextBox")); }); //]]> </script> Is there an easy way to get the results of the above script processed using Selenium so that I may pass it using BeautifulSoup?

  • Changing the <input> type in IE with JavaScript

    - by MrEnder
    The line <input type="text" name="passwordLogin" value="Password" onfocus="if(this.value=='Password'){this.value=''; this.type='password'};" onblur="if(this.value==''){this.value='Password'; this.type='text'};" size="25" /> works in all web browsers except IE... How can I fix it for IE? Ok made some changes to still have an error I want it to work like this like here <input type="text" name="usernameLogin" value="Email" onfocus="if(this.value=='Email'){this.value=''};" onblur="if(this.value==''){this.value='Email'};" size="25" /> if I dont enter anything it will put the value back So I tried this <td colspan="2" id="passwordLoginTd"> <input id="passwordLoginInput1" type="text" name="passwordLogin" value="Password" onfocus="passwordFocus()" size="25" /> <input id="passwordLoginInput2" style="display: none;" type="password" name="passwordLogin" value="" onblur="passwordBlur()" size="25" /> </td> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ passwordElement1 = document.getElementById('passwordLoginInput1'); passwordElement2 = document.getElementById('passwordLoginInput2'); function passwordFocus() { passwordElement1.style.display = "none"; passwordElement2.style.display = "inline"; passwordElement2.focus(); } function passwordBlur() { if(passwordElement2.value=='') { passwordElement2.style.display = "none"; passwordElement1.style.display = "inline"; passwordElement1.focus(); } } //]]> </script> as you can see the blur does not work =[ ok finally got it thanks to the help needed to remove passwordElement1.focus();

  • jQuery modal dialog on ajaxStart event

    - by bdl
    I'm trying to use a jQuery UI modal dialog as a loading indicator via the ajaxStart, ajaxStop / ajaxComplete events. When the page fires, an Ajax handler loads some data, and the modal dialog shows just fine. However, it never hides or closes the dialog when the Ajax event is complete. It's a very small bit of code from the local server that is returned, so the actual Ajax event is very quick. Here's my actual code for the modal div: $("#modalwindow").dialog({ modal: true, height: 50, width: 200, zIndex: 999, resizable: false, title: "Please wait..." }) .bind("ajaxStart", function(){ $(this).show(); }) .bind("ajaxStop", function(){ $(this).hide(); }); The Ajax event is just a plain vanilla $.ajax({}) GET method call. Based on some searching here and Google, I've tried altering the ajaxStop handler to use $("#modalwindow").close(), $("#modalwindow").destroy(), etc. (#modalwindow referred to here as to give explicit context). I've also tried using the standard $("#modalwindow").dialog({}).ajaxStart(... as well. Should I be binding the events to a different object? Or calling them from within the $.ajax() complete event? I should mention, I'm testing on the latest IE8, FF 3.6 and Chrome. All have the same / effect.

  • multiple ajax requests with jquery

    - by Emil
    I got problems with the async nature of Javascript / JQuery. Lets say the following (no latency is counted for, in order to not make it so troublesome); I got three buttons (A, B, C) on a page, each of the buttons adds an item into a shopping cart with one ajax-request each. If I put an intentional delay of 5 seconds in the serverside script (PHP) and pushes the buttons with 1 second apart, I want the result to be the following: Request A, 5 seconds Request B, 6 seconds Request C, 7 seconds However, the result is like this Request A, 5 seconds Request B, 10 seconds Request C, 15 seconds This have to mean that the requests are queued and not run simultaneously, right? Isnt this opposite to what async is? I also tried to add a random get-parameter to the url in order to force some uniqueness to the request, no luck though. I did read a little about this. If you avoid using the same "request object (?)" this problem wont occure. Is it possible to force this behaviour in JQuery? This is the code that I am using $.ajax( { url : strAjaxUrl + '?random=' + Math.floor(Math.random()*9999999999), data : 'ajax=add-to-cart&product=' + product, type : 'GET', success : function(responseData) { // update ui }, error : function(responseData) { // show error } }); I also tried both GET and POST, no difference. I want the requests to be sent right when the button is clicked, not when the previous request is finnished. I want the requests to be run simultaneously, not in a queue.

  • Method for defining simultaneous has-many and has-one associations between two models in CakePHP?

    - by Hobonium
    One thing with which I have long had problems, within the CakePHP framework, is defining simultaneous hasOne and hasMany relationships between two models. For example: BlogEntry hasMany Comment BlogEntry hasOne MostRecentComment (where MostRecentComment is the Comment with the most recent created field) Defining these relationships in the BlogEntry model properties is problematic. CakePHP's ORM implements a has-one relationship as an INNER JOIN, so as soon as there is more than one Comment, BlogEntry::find('all') calls return multiple results per BlogEntry. I've worked around these situations in the past in a few ways: Using a model callback (or, sometimes, even in the controller or view!), I've simulated a MostRecentComment with: $this->data['MostRecentComment'] = $this->data['Comment'][0]; This gets ugly fast if, say, I need to order the Comments any way other than by Comment.created. It also doesn't Cake's in-built pagination features to sort by MostRecentComment fields (e.g. sort BlogEntry results reverse-chronologically by MostRecentComment.created. Maintaining an additional foreign key, BlogEntry.most_recent_comment_id. This is annoying to maintain, and breaks Cake's ORM: the implication is BlogEntry belongsTo MostRecentComment. It works, but just looks...wrong. These solutions left much to be desired, so I sat down with this problem the other day, and worked on a better solution. I've posted my eventual solution below, but I'd be thrilled (and maybe just a little mortified) to discover there is some mind-blowingly simple solution that has escaped me this whole time. Or any other solution that meets my criteria: it must be able to sort by MostRecentComment fields at the Model::find level (ie. not just a massage of the results); it shouldn't require additional fields in the comments or blog_entries tables; it should respect the 'spirit' of the CakePHP ORM. (I'm also not sure the title of this question is as concise/informative as it could be.)

  • Prototypal inheritance should save memory, right?

    - by Techpriester
    Hi Folks, I've been wondering: Using prototypes in JavaScript should be more memory efficient than attaching every member of an object directly to it for the following reasons: The prototype is just one single object. The instances hold only references to their prototype. Versus: Every instance holds a copy of all the members and methods that are defined by the constructor. I started a little experiment with this: var TestObjectFat = function() { this.number = 42; this.text = randomString(1000); } var TestObjectThin = function() { this.number = 42; } TestObjectThin.prototype.text = randomString(1000); randomString(x) just produces a, well, random String of length x. I then instantiated the objects in large quantities like this: var arr = new Array(); for (var i = 0; i < 1000; i++) { arr.push(new TestObjectFat()); // or new TestObjectThin() } ... and checked the memory usage of the browser process (Google Chrome). I know, that's not very exact... However, in both cases the memory usage went up significantly as expected (about 30MB for TestObjectFat), but the prototype variant used not much less memory (about 26MB for TestObjectThin). I also checked: The TestObjectThin instances contain the same string in their "text" property, so they are really using the property of the prototype. Now, I'm not so sure what to think about this. The prototyping doesn't seem to be the big memory saver at all. I know that prototyping is a great idea for many other reasons, but I'm specifically concerned with memory usage here. Any explanations why the prototype variant uses almost the same amount of memory? Am I missing something?

  • Find Adjacent Nodes A Star Path-Finding C++

    - by Infinity James
    Is there a better way to handle my FindAdjacent() function for my A Star algorithm? It's awfully messy, and it doesn't set the parent node correctly. When it tries to find the path, it loops infinitely because the parent of the node has a pent of the node and the parents are always each other. Any help would be amazing. This is my function: void AStarImpl::FindAdjacent(Node* pNode) { for (int i = -1; i <= 1; i++) { for (int j = -1; j <= 1; j++) { if (pNode->mX != Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX + i][pNode->mY + j].mX || pNode->mY != Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX + i][pNode->mY + j].mY) { if (pNode->mX + i <= 14 && pNode->mY + j <= 14) { if (pNode->mX + i >= 0 && pNode->mY + j >= 0) { if (Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX + i][pNode->mY + j].mTypeID != NODE_TYPE_SOLID) { if (find(mOpenList.begin(), mOpenList.end(), &Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX + i][pNode->mY + j]) == mOpenList.end()) { Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX+i][pNode->mY+j].mParent = &Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX][pNode->mY]; mOpenList.push_back(&Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX+i][pNode->mY+j]); } } } } } } } mClosedList.push_back(&Map::GetInstance()->mMap[pNode->mX][pNode->mY]); } If you'd like any more code, just ask and I can post it.

  • iPhone OS: Get a list of methods and variables from anonymous object

    - by ChrisOPeterson
    I am building my first iPhone/Obj-c app and I have a large amount of data-holding subclasses that I am passing into a cite function. To the cite function these objects are anonymous and I need to find a way to access all the variables of each passed object. I have been using a pre-built NSArray and Selectors to do this but with more than 30 entries (and growing) it is kind of silly to do manually. There has to be a way to dynamically look up all the variables of an anonymous object. The obj-c runtime run-time docs mention this problem but from what I can tell this is not available in iPhone OS. If it is then I don't understand the implementation and need some guidance. A similar question was asked before but again I think they were talking about OSX and not iPhone. Any thoughts? -(NSString*)cite:(id)source { NSString *sourceClass = NSStringFromClass([source class]); // Runs through all the variables in the manually built methodList for(id method in methodList) { SEL x = NSSelectorFromString(method); // further implementation // Should be something like NSArray *methodList = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:[source getVariableList]] for(id method in methodList) { SEL x = NSSelectorFromString(method); // Further implementation }

  • Apply CSS style to anchor problem

    - by Jake
    Using jquery I have a clicking tab mechanism that are nothing but anchor tags that return false but call javascript functions to run some events on the page. The problem is I am using jquery to apply an opacity style to the active anchor. and the other sibling anchor get a lesser opacity view. My code looks like this $("#menutab li a").click(function(){ $(this).animate({opacity:'1'},1000); $(this).siblings().animate({opacity:'.25'},1000); } I would think this code would act only on the clicked element and apply that css style to that element and the other style to the other anchor tags except the clicked one. It kind of does that, but also what it does is leave the earlier clicked element to opacity =1, so if I click an element it sets it opacity to 1 and then if I click another one it sets it opacity to 1 while leave the earlier clicked one to 1 also instead of setting it to .25 like the others. Edit: I changed the above code to: $("#menutab ul li").click(function(){ $(this).children().animate({opacity:'1'},1000); $(this).siblings().children().animate({opacity:'.25'},1000); }); and now I get the desired effect, except that when the first anchor in the list is clicked doesn't follow the event rules, When the first one is clicked its as if, the click event is not triggered, because no opacity style changes. which I don't understand.

  • Storing arbitrary data in HTML

    - by Rob Colburn
    What is the best way to embed data in html elements for later use? As an example, let's say we have jQuery returning some JSON from the server, and we want to dump that datat out to the user as paragraphs. However, we want to be able to attach meta-data to these elements, so we can events for these later. The way I tend to handle this, is with some ugly prefixing function handle_response(data) { var html = ''; for (var i in data) { html += '<p id="prefix_' + data[i].id + '">' + data[i].message + '</p>'; } jQuery('#log').html(html).find('p').click(function(){ alert('The ID is: ' + $(this).attr('id').substr(7)); }); } Alternatively, one can build a Form in the paragraph, and store your meta-data there. But, that often feels like overkill. This has been asked before in different ways, but I do not feel it's been answered well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/432174/how-to-store-arbitrary-data-for-some-html-tags http://stackoverflow.com/questions/209428/non-standard-attributes-on-html-tags-good-thing-bad-thing-your-thoughts

  • Javascript: How to test JSONP on localhost

    - by hqt
    Here is the way I test JSONP: I run XAMPP, and in folder htdocs I create a javascript folder . I create json1.json file contain some data to process. After that, I run this html file locally, and it will call a function in "other machine" (in this case is localhost) Here is my code : <head> <script> function updateSales(sales) { alert('test jsonp'); // real code here } </script> </head> <body> <h1>JSONP Example</h1> <script src="http://localhost:85/javascript/json1.json?callback=updateSales"></script> </body> But when I run, nothing happen. But if change to other real json on the internet, it will work. It means change line : <script src="http://localhost:85/javascript/json1.json?callback=updateSales"></script> to line: <script src="http://gumball.wickedlysmart.com/?callback=updateSales"></script> It will work smoothly. So, I don't know how to test JSONP by using localhost, please help me. Thanks :)

  • jquery-ui autocomplete with ASP MVC suggestions not displaying

    - by adamnickerson
    I have been trying to get a simple example of the jquery-ui autocomplete to work. I have a controller setup to handle the query, and it returns the json that looks to be in order, but I am getting no suggestions showing up. Here are the js libraries I am including: <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="/Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="/Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js"></script> <link href="/Content/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> and here is the javascript and the form tags: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function () { $("#organization").autocomplete({ source: function (request, response) { $.ajax({ url: '/Organization/OrganizationLookup', dataType: "json", data: { limit: 12, q: request.term } }) }, minLength: 2 }); }); </script> <div class="ui-widget"> <label for="organization">Organization: </label> <input id="organization" /> </div> I get back a json response that looks reasonable from my controller: [{"id":"Sector A","value":"Sector A"},{"id":"Sector B","value":"Sector B"},{"id":"Sector C","value":"Sector C"}] id and value seem to be the default naming that autocomplete is looking for. But I get no joy at all. Any thoughts?

  • how to design a schema where the columns of a table are not fixed

    - by hIpPy
    I am trying to design a schema where the columns of a table are not fixed. Ex: I have an Employee table where the columns of the table are not fixed and vary (attributes of Employee are not fixed and vary). Nullable columns in the Employee table itself i.e. no normalization Instead of adding nullable columns, separate those columns out in their individual tables ex: if Address is a column to be added then create table Address[EmployeeId, AddressValue]. Create tables ExtensionColumnName [EmployeeId, ColumnName] and ExtensionColumnValue [EmployeeId, ColumnValue]. ExtensionColumnName would have ColumnName as "Address" and ExtensionColumnValue would have ColumnValue as address value. Employee table EmployeeId Name ExtensionColumnName table ColumnNameId EmployeeId ColumnName ExtensionColumnValue table EmployeeId ColumnNameId ColumnValue There is a drawback is the first two ways as the schema changes with every new attribute. Note that adding a new attribute is frequent. I am not sure if this is the good or bad design. If someone had a similar decision to make, please give an insight on things like foreign keys / data integrity, indexing, performance, reporting etc.

My options look like: curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_USERPWD, "test:test"); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_URL, "http://127.0.0.1:8000/foo/"); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_VERBOSE, 1); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_UPLOAD, 1); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_READFUNCTION, read_data); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_READDATA, &yaml); curl_easy_setopt(handle, CURLOPT_INFILESIZE, yaml.size()); curl_easy_perform(handle); I believe the read_data function works correctly, but if you ask, I'll post that code. I'm using Django with django-piston, and my update function is never called! (It is called when I use the command line version above.) libcurl's output is: * About to connect() to 127.0.0.1 port 8000 (#0) * Trying 127.0.0.1... * connected * Connected to 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) port 8000 (#0) * Server auth using Basic with user 'test' > PUT /foo/ HTTP/1.1 Authorization: Basic dGVzdDp0ZXN0 Host: 127.0.0.1:8000 Accept: */* Content-Length: 244 Expect: 100-continue * Done waiting for 100-continue ** this is where my read_data handler confirms: read 244 bytes ** * HTTP 1.0, assume close after body < HTTP/1.0 400 BAD REQUEST < Date: Thu, 13 May 2010 08:22:52 GMT < Server: WSGIServer/0.1 Python/2.5.1 < Vary: Authorization < Content-Type: text/plain < Bad Request* Closing connection #0

  • Javascript: Uncaught exception: "too few args"

    - by Rosarch
    I think I must be making some really stupid mistake. I'm using the latest version of jQuery to write an AJAX app. function refreshGPAForTerm(term) { var meta_data = term.children('.' + TERM_META_DATA_CLASS); meta_data.children('.' + MEDIAN_GPA_CLASS).fadeOut('slow').remove(); meta_data.append(_getMedianGPAElem(term.data('GPA'))).hide().fadeIn('slow'); } function moveToTerm(original_course, helper, term) { var cloned_course = original_course.clone(true); term.data('credits', term.data('credits') + cloned_course.data('credits')); term.data('median_GPA', term.data('median_GPA') + cloned_course.data('credits') * cloned_course.data('GPA')); // error here refreshGPAForTerm(term); refreshCreditForTerm(term); original_course.addClass('already-scheduled'); original_course.draggable('disable'); cloned_course.appendTo(term).hide().fadeIn('slow').draggable(); } When refreshGPAForTerm(term) is called, Firebug displays: "Uncaught exception - Too few arguments". Stepping through in a debugger, the code then goes into jQuery. Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong?

  • C++ boost mpl vector

    - by Gokul
    I understand that the following code won't work, as i is a runtime parameter and not a compile time parameter. But i want to know, whether there is a way to achieve the same. i have a list of classes and i need to call a template function, with each of these classes. void GucTable::refreshSessionParams() { typedef boost::mpl::vector< SessionXactDetails, SessionSchemaInfo > SessionParams; for( int i = 0; i < boost::mpl::size<SessionParams>::value; ++i ) boost::mpl::at<SessionParams, i>::type* sparam = g_getSessionParam< boost::mpl::at<SessionParams, i>::type >(); sparam->updateFromGucTable(this); } } Can someone suggest me a easy and elegant way to perform the same? i need to iterate through the mpl::vector and use the type to call a global function and then use that parameter to do some run-time operations. Thanks in advance, Gokul. Working code typedef boost::mpl::vector< SessionXactDetails, SessionSchemaInfo > SessionParams; class GucSessionIterator { private: GucTable& m_table; public: GucSessionIterator(GucTable& table) :m_table(table) { } template< typename U > void operator()(const U& ) { g_getSessionParam<U>()->updateFromGucTable(m_table); } }; void GucTable::refreshSessionParams() { boost::mpl::for_each< SessionParams >( GucSessionIterator(*this) ); return; }

  • c++ callback syntax in a class

    - by Mr Bell
    I am trying to figure out the syntax to register a callback with this 3rd party software. I think it is probably a basic question, I just am not too familiar with c++. They have a method for registering a callback function so their code can call a function in my code when an event happens. They provided a working example that registers the callback from the main file, but I want to know how to do it when working inside a class Their method signature: smHTRegisterHeadPoseCallback(smEngineHandle engine_handle, void *user_data, smHTHeadPoseCallback callback_fun); Working example from the main file: void STDCALL receiveHeadPose(void *,smEngineHeadPoseData head_pose, smCameraVideoFrame video_frame) { ... } void main() { ... smHTRegisterHeadPoseCallback(engine_handle,0,receiveHeadPose) ... } But I want to use this from my class MyClass.h class FaceEngine { public: void STDCALL receiveFaceData(void *, smEngineFaceData face_data, smCameraVideoFrame video_frame); ... MyClass.cpp void FaceEngine::Start(void) { rc = smHTRegisterFaceDataCallback(hFaceAPIEngine,0,&FaceEngine::receiveFaceData); ... Results in this compiler error: Error 1 error C2664: 'smHTRegisterFaceDataCallback' : cannot convert parameter 3 from 'void (__stdcall FaceEngine::* )(void *,smEngineFaceData,smCameraVideoFrame)' to 'smHTFaceDataCallback' d:\stuff\programming\visual studio 2008\projects\tut02_vertices\faceengine.cpp 43 Beard If my question isn't clear please let me know how I can clarify.
