  Hi All, I have ear deployed in jboss 5.0.1, on windows 2008 which is 64 bit machine and we are using 64jvm, with this combination our VFS temp size increases a lot eventually all our physical hard drive space is used by replicating files. but if we change our JVm from 64 to 32 every thing looks ok. does any one one what is reason ?and possible solution as we want ot use 64bit jvm. Normally, durring a phone call when the user holds the device up to their ear, the screen shuts off so they wont accidentally push buttons with their face. Even if I define a datasource and call it via JNDI, I still have some properties that I want to change, like hibernate.dialect or hibernate.show_sql, for example. I tried using: <property name="hibernate.ejb.cfgfile" value="some-file.xml" /> and it works fine when some-file.xml is in jar file, but how to call it from another location. • How to avoid Perm Gem space exception in JBoss server ?

  I deploy my J2EE application after making some changes to the code. At maximum of 4 times I can deploy the EAR file into the server without restarting the JBoss server. After the 4th deployment if I deploy one more time it throws PermGem space exception. I don't what this exception is. I restart the server then everything works fine. Any idea why the Jboss server throws PermGem space exception after 4 deployments ?And Why it occurs ?

• Force Windows to output only mono sound

  So, the 'right' half of my pair of headphones broke (the transducer+wire are fine, but the earpiece broke on the headband and so the earpiece won't sit over my ear). So now the right channel is being broadcast to my cube neighbors when I wear my headphones. Yes, they look very silly. Is there a way to ensure, in Windows XP (or Windows Media Player), that all stereo sound is downmixed to the left channel only (ie, in mono) so my neighbors don't hear my music? I know that I can setup the mixer to set the balance to 100% left, but information in the right channel won't be heard.

• Mac Book Pro wakes up in my backpack

  This has happened to me twice: I press the power button on my Mac Book Pro, choose sleep, close it, unplug everything, confirm that is off (by pressing my ear to it) and put it in my bag. Some minutes later, the laptop wakes up by itself. Both times I caught it in time. The second time it was so hot I couldn't touch some parts -- it refused to actually wake up, and the screen was blank. Restarting it worked though. Any ideas what might be going on and/or how to prevent this? More details: It's a Mac Book Pro unibody 15" from 2009.

  Hi, I have a BPEL running on WPS 6.2 trying to call a web service on developed on RAD 7.5, deployed on RAD test environment. I have setup WS Transaction policy on both client and server. I get an error on WAS 7.0 saying Must Understand check failed for headers: {http:// schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/10/wscoor}CoordinationContext I tried to generate the same webservice on ibm wid 6.2 and deployed on EAR on WAS 7, it works perfect. Any thoughts ? Is there a SOAP runtime mismatch ? Help appreciated . -AK

• Sharing hp Deskjet F380 using cups via http driver issues with xp client

  Hi the problem is xp doesn't have built in drivers for my printer but vista does. On vista it works perfectly without any issues. However when I try using xp, it insists that I select a driver from the selection xp offers by default. The drivers I've downloaded from HP don't support networking. Hp have stated they're non networkable. Is there anything I can do about this? Any help is greatly appreciated and would save me getting ear ache!

• Laptop burned after heavy OpenGL usage. Is there hope?

  After programming for OpenGL and a 'slow OS' case for a couple of minutes the screen went blank. I shut it down with forcing it with the shutdown key and now there's no led at all with battery or AC, it doesn't start at all, it's totally dead. It's most certainly not the AC adapter since that didn't show at first, it doesn't start a led at all and if the AC is connected it does a very slight and faint clicking noise (one has to have his ear next to it to hear it, near the AC connector). Is there any hope? I suppose it's a burned motherboard. I suspected a burned GPU but that would still leave the leds at least lid or at least attempting to start up. Now it's totally dead. It's a TOSHIBA satellite x200-219. It has no warranty, as it's more than 2 years since purchase.

  I am a Integration Engineer for a software company. My development team has generated various jboss .ear applications that rely on configuration files being in the jboss/bin directory and setting the CLASSPATH externally using batch files (on Windows from an external LIB directory) rather than using jboss's internally loaded classes. Is this the right/standard way of doing things? Would some other location be better (for the config files) such as jboss/server/instancename/deploy or some other directory? Any opinons on how I can direct my development team to doing things in a best practices fashion?

• Remove server from loadbalancer [on hold]

  Our datacenter is load balancing the traffic to our weblogic servers based on an application deployed on each server called probe.ear It is a simple java app which is accessed by the loadbalancer and if it accessible it will redirect traffic to this server as well. When we want to remove one node from the loadbalancer we just stop the probe app and new traffic is not redirected to it BUT I am asking myself what about the current requests? The responses for the current requests are executed (completed). I did not had time to test (will do that first thing when go back to work) but on theoretical level for me it make sense to do so unless the loadbalancer has some special settings. Does my reasoning make sense to you? Just to make it clear since it was reported the question is not clear. Is there a way to configure a load balancer in a way that from a specific moment will not redirect traffic to a certain server without reseting the current requests ?

The cable has 2 volume wheels labelled "Game" and "Chat". I would like to be able to control, say Google Hangouts or Skype volume with the chat wheel, and all other audio with the other wheel.   How do I search in the leading auction site for the PC headset(earpiece + microphone) that does not have a band to go around or over your head - instead it is entirely like a cable, with the microphone attached in one of the wires leading from the ear piece? How is it called? I'm not talking about Bluetooth wireless headsets. I have one from Plantronics I got years ago, which they stopped making and I want another one, but don't know how to search.   Possible Duplicate: Can you help me with my capacity planning? In our test environment we have a lot of apps spread out over a few servers and Glassfish domains. To make versioning easier I would have liked to have one Glassfish domain per customer per app (kind of like a heavyweight version of lots of jetty instances). But I have heard that Glassfish is kind of heavy on the resources, and so I would need to measure approximately how many instances would fit in the available RAM. These are low-traffic/low load testing servers, so CPU is not really an issue, though RAM might be. How would I get an approximate measure of how much RAM is needed? This is one Glassfish 3 instance with one heavy EAR application deployed. top? jvmstats? ??

• Apache mod_wsgi elegant clustering method

  I'm currently trying to build a scalable infrastructure for my Python webservers. Actually, I'm trying to find the most elegant way to build a scalable cluster to host all my Python WebServices. For now, I'm using three servers like this: 1 x PuppetMaster to deploy my servers. 2 x Apache Reverse Proxy Front-end servers. 1 x Apache HTTPd Server which host the Python WSGI Applications and binded to using mod_wsgi. 4 x MongoDB Clustered server. Everything is OK concerning the Reverse proxy and the DB Backend, I'm able to easily add a new Reverse Proxy and a new DB Node, but my problem is about the Python WebServer. I thinked to just provision a new node with exactly the same configuration and a rsync replication between the two nodes, but It's not really usefull in term of deployement for my developpers etc. So if you have a solution which is as efficient and elegant that the Tomcat Cluster I'll be really happy to ear it ;-)
