    Hi, how can i check the current status of the GPS receiver? I already checked the LocationListener onStatusChanged method but somehow it seems that is not working, or just the wrong possibility. So basically i just need to know if the gps icon at the top of the screen is blinking (no actual fix) or solid (fix is available) thx!

    So I am making a small site using cakephp, and my ACL is set up so that every time a piece of content is created, an ACL rule is created to link the owner of the piece of content to the actual content. This allows each owner to edit/delete their own content. This method just seems so inefficient, because there is an equivalent amount of ACL rules as content in the database. I was curious, how do big sites, with millions of pieces of content, solve this problem?

Looking at the CUPS source code it seems it is ready for Visual Studio compilation, but I did not find any trace of an actual supported package. I'd like to set up a CUPS server on Windows so that I can print form Linux/MacOSX/Win clients to printers I set up on this server.

  • Cannot get Request.Form by name in ASP.NET

    I have an ASP.NET page which utilizes jQuery for an autocomplete-type scenario. The jQuery tucks the actual selected values into a hidden field it creates on the fly, but for some reason I cannot get the value of that standard HTML field on postback by calling Request.Form["HiddenFieldName"]. I can see it by ordinal in the Request.Form object, but if I add/remove controls it will break. Any suggestions?

  • Converting html entities into their values in python

    I use this regex on some input, [^a-zA-Z0-9@#] However this ends up removing lots of html special characters within the input, such as 227;, #1606;, #1588; (i had to remove the & prefix so that it wouldn't show up as the actual value..) is there a way that I can convert them to their values so that it will satisfy the regexp expression? I also have no idea why the text decided to be so big.

I have a date, that is converted to mm-dd-yyyy when posting it to mysql i have re-ordered it to yyyy-mm-dd but yet it still will not insert $date = date("Y-m-d", strtotime($_POST['leaving_date']) ); any advice?     Is there an method for programatically (in T-SQL) retrieving the maximum (and minimum) value of a datatype? That it would act like float.MaxValue in C#. How can I get rid of them?

    Well thats all there is to it...is this possible? I understand that officially it's not supported but has anyone figured it out? I have some work to do where XP would be the preferred platform. For example: - There are 5 tabs tab1, tab2, tab3, tab4, tab5. tab2 and tab4 are hidden. - if i m in tab1 then tab2.hidden is true or tab2.isVisible() is false - if i m in tab1 then tab3.hidden is true or tab3.isVisible() is false So how can i check the actual hidden tabs????     The CakePHP Cookbook states that a Model can use a file (csv for example) instead of an actual database table but I couldn't find any implementation for it. I was wondering if it is possible to use an Array of data as a model in CakePHP since I have a fairly static set of data which is important to me in a relationship with another table but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to create a complete table for it. Is it possible to implement a CakePHP Model using an Array?

    I'm kind of falling in love with Node.js not because you write app code in javascript but because of its performance. I really don't care a lot about how beautiful a server side language might be but how much requests per second it can handle. So anyway I'm looking forward to experiment building an entire webapp using Node.js (and going back to the actual question) is there a template engine similar to let's say the django template engine or something similar (that at least allows you to extend base templates) available for Node.js?

    Hi, I am trying to test a functionality, which inserts few details into the DB. In the test.log, it shows the insert command that is generated and also the log messages that I have placed to show the progress and everything seems to be working fine except the actual data is not getting inserted into the DB. I am checking whether data is inserted in db/test.sqlite3. No exception is generated when the test cases are run. Is there a setting, which I have to set inorder to insert data into the test DB? or am i missing anything else Thanks
