  I'm currently involved in a project where a number of iPads loaded with a special app are given away to a number of people at a certain event. Both because of time constraints as well as our desire to give these people a really exclusive app, we decided to prepare these devices using ad hoc installs of the app. What will happen to the app when the recipients of the device decide to sync it with their existing iTunes account instead one of our "recipient x" accounts?

• Doctrine-CLI database creation issue.

  I have Doctrine setup in my Zend Framework application and I built my schema YAML file. But when I tell Doctrine to build the tables it says it does but it doesn't actually make them. It creates the models, and will create the DB but it will not populate the DB with the tables and throws no errors. Does anyone have a guess or know why this is not working? Thank you.

  Hi I have a site that uses flex and calls controller actions which returns json to the flex. This works fine in a dev server , the folder that has the flex app lives inside the web project and in the dev ennvironment, makes calls hostname, ie www.someurl.com in the actual live scenario, this will be an intranet so not hostname to call, the flex app seems to have trouble calling http://localhost/Virtual directory name it seems to totally miss the virtual directory name. I am obviously missing something basic, any help?

Now the tricky part is, this server will be used in a university environment and many students will have access to it for different projects. How can I set it up so that each student's project is private to them only, keep the server itself protected from students and enable students to access and build remotely.   I get Auth fail error when running mvn -X site:deploy. org.apache.maven.wagon.authentication.AuthenticationException: Cannot connect. Reason: Auth fail It seems that the correct private key is used and I can scp files normally to the project site directory using scp on Ubuntu. What can be causing this?

• Changing Window Title in Interface Builder

  Hi all, I'm new to Objective C and Cocoa - and I'm having a really hard time changing the title on one of my windows. Usually I would press the outside of the window, and then in Window Attributes Inspector there's the title area - however for this particular project it has a name in that box and when I run the application, the title bar still says untitled. Am I missing something? I haven't binded the title to a data source or anything.

• Should I merge .pbxproj files with git using merge=union?

  I'm wondering whether the merge=union option in .gitattributes makes sense for .pbxproj files. The manpage states for this option: Run 3-way file level merge for text files, but take lines from both versions, instead of leaving conflict markers. This tends to leave the added lines in the resulting file in random order and the user should verify the result. Normally, this should be fine for the 90% case of adding files to the project. Does anybody have experience with this?

  In OpenSolaris OS, when I run makefile generated by Eclipse CDT on the Linux OS, I get an error on the first -include line. The same error was in FreeBSD, and was solved by executing gmake instead of make. In OpenSolaris (just installed) gmake doesn't work (command not found). What package should I install and how exactly, to build Linux-generated C++ project in OpenSolaris?
