  • Strange iPhone application icon view in the iTunes's Applications section

    When I drag 'My iPhone App' application's file into iTunes it has proper view. Rounded corners and transparent background. Then I close iTunes and open it again. Corners are still rounded but...   • Transfer gist repo into a github one

    I am working on a small project with gist and since it is growing I would like to put it on github. Let's suppose that: my gist repo is at: https://gist.github.com/1234 my new (empty) repo is at: https://github.com/ChrisJamesC/myNewProject The ideal solution would be one that pushes my changes on both the gist and the github repository. However, if it is not possible I will prefer the solution where everything is on github and I delete the gist.

  • apt-get commands pausing at 'Waiting for headers' [closed]

    I have a VM running Ubuntu Server 9.10 running a basic web server setup. Whenever I run an apt function it will pause for around 1 minute at 'Waiting for headers...'. It will eventually clear through and continue as normal but it is a bit of an annoyance. Everything else on the server seems to run fine. Any ideas?

  • Java Packages in Seperate repository than others

    I was wondering if it's possible to have a java package setup using a different subversion repository than the rest. Ideally, I would probably go with a different library project, but in the case of BlackBerry, the 3rd party library linking does not work well, so I would like to just separate my UI package into a different repository than the rest so that I can control the UI better for different OS versions, but leave all the other packages the same. Is this possible?

  • Django manage.py can't find an INSTALLED_APP even though the module is in the path

    When I run python manage.py shell I get an error about the last app I've added to INSTALLED_APP, namely django_evolution, saying it's an undefined module. This is despite the fact that I've added the path to django_evolution to the system path. In fact right after this error I can run python and do an import on django_evolution and everything is fine. Why isn't django or python seeing this module when clearly it's been setup and even added to the path?

I am a student, and am most familiar with OO languages such as Java. I'd like to go with a service that specializes in Ruby on Rails. I've looked at SpeedyRails and RailsPlayground and they both seem to have pros and cons. Does anyone have experience with either? Does anyone have a different recommendation?

  • Secure automated SSH/SFTP after reboot

    I need to give a daemon ssh access to a particular server. Currently I have it setup to use ssh keys and a keychain, but the trouble with this method is if a reboot occurs. Unless I'm missing something, I would need to login after a system reboot and add the key to the keychain. Is there a way I could avoid/automate this? I'm considering using expect if I can't find any other way.

Write a class, MyCourses, that contains an enumeration of all the courses that you are currently taking. This enum should be nested inside of your class MyCourses. Your class should also have an array field that provides a short description (as a String) of each of your courses. Write an indexer that takes one of your enumerated courses as an index and returns the String description of the course.
