If i have this code to fill tooltip div <div id="tooltip"></div> <div class="tooltipMessage">Tooltip Message</div> <script type="text/javascript"> $("#id").html($("#tooltip").next(".tooltipMessage").html()); </script> Works, the code takes the next element with classname "tooltipMessage" and fills element with id "tooltip". • Tied up with injection implemented with setter functions

    - by puudeli
Hi, I'm trying to use Scala as part of an existing Java application and now I run into an issue with dependencies injected with a setter method (no DI frameworks in this part of code). How is this handled in a Scala way? In Scala both val and var require to be initialized when declared but I can't do that, since the Java setters inject objects that implement a certain interface and interfaces are abstract and can not be instantiated. class ScalaLogic { var service // How to initialize? def setService (srv: OutputService) = { service = srv } Is there a way to initialize the var service so that I can later assign a dependency into it? It should be lexically scoped to be visible in the whole class.

  • C++ & C#, how to create wrapper dll in C++ for C# to call instance function in C++ dll?

    - by 5YrsLaterDBA
Received an unmanaged C++ dll with instance functions which need to be called from my C#. need to write a wrapper C++ dll to bridge the C# and original C++ dll as suggested by experts here. it is new to me and want to learn from you. Header file of the original C++ dll likes this: class EXPORT_MACRO NB_DPSM { private: string sFileNameToAnalyze ; public: NB_DPSM(void); ~NB_DPSM(void); void setFileNameToAnalyze(string FileNameToAnalyze) ; int WriteGenbenchData(string& message) ; }; Start from a Class Library project template or CLR Empty Project template? What's the wrapper code should look like? Anywhere has step by step example for this? thanks,

  • Defining Proper Classes with Java

    - by user2579706
Ok, I'm studying Java and have the following question: "Assume you defined a class named MyClass. A student wants to use your class and tries to declare an instance named myObj and instantiate it. He tried the following: MyObj MyClass = new MyClass( ); Why won't his code work? Show how he should correct it. " I'm not sure how to do this? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

  • How to simulate Func<T1, T2, TResult> in C++?

    - by Zach
Hello all, In C#, I use Func to replace Factories. For example: class SqlDataFetcher { public Func<IConnection> CreateConnectionFunc; public void DoRead() { IConnection conn = CreateConnectionFunc(); // call the Func to retrieve a connection } } class Program { public void CreateConnection() { return new SqlConnection(); } public void Main() { SqlDataFetcher f = new SqlDataFetcher(); f.CreateConnectionFunc = this.CreateConnection; ... } } How can I simulate the code above in C++?

  • Why would you use a MyObject[] internally, but expose a List<MyObject>?

    - by timmyd
I have come across a class that has an immutable property: MyObject[] allObjs The property is initialized like this: List<MyObject> objs = createAllMyObjects(); allObjs = objs.toArray(new MyObject[objs.size()]); When it is exposed through the accessor, it's done as a List: public List<MyObject> getAllMyObjects() { return Collections.unmodifiableList(Arrays.asList(allObjs)); } Why would a programmer do this? Is there a benefit that I don't know about? Performance is not a concern, as the array of objs will only ever number in a few dozen elements. It seems that we are going round and round in circles. The class is a sort of factory, so it's got a private constructor and exposes only static methods (not sure if this could be a reason for the madness).

  • How to overwrite virtual fnc in good style? [C++]

    - by atch
Hi, guys I know this question is very basic but I've met in few publications (websites, books) different style of overwriting virtual function. What I mean is: if I have base class: class Base { public: virtual void f() = 0; }; in some publications I saw that to overwrite this some authors would just say: void f(); and some would still repeat the virtual keyword before void. Which form of overwriting is in good style? Thank you for your answers.

  • jquery problem where the returned data from an XML file seems inaccessible

    - by squeaker
Hi all, I'm using an xml file to generate some links which i would like to then be able to click on to populate an input box: $(xmlResponse).find('types').each(function(){ var id = $(this).attr('id'); var type = $(this).find('type').text(); $('<span title=\"'+type+'\" class=\"type\">'+type+'</span>').appendTo('#types'); }); $('span.type').click(function() { var title = $(this).attr('title'); $("input[name='type']").val(title); }); But for some reason clicking on the liks does not populate the input box. It does work if the span is hard coded into the page for example: <span title="text to populate" class="type">test</span> I'm guessing that the XML is not getting loaded into the DOM in the right way (or something like that) Any Ideas?

  • How to inherit from a generic parameter?

    - by Bob
I'm basically wanting to do this: class UILockable<T> : T where T : UIWidget { } However, this doesn't work. I've seen people recommend that you do this: class UILockable<T> where T : UIWidget { private T _base; } This would require me to override each function UILockable would need and forward it to T. This is impossible since T may derive from UIWidget and have unique abstract/virtual methods of its own. Is there no way to simply inherit from T?

  • Create Object using ObjectBuilder

    - by dhinesh
Want to create objects using ObjectBuilder or ObjectBuilder2. I do not want to use StructureMap I was able to create the object having parameterless constructor using the code mentioned below. public class ObjectFactory : BuilderBase<BuilderStage> { public static T BuildUp<T>() { var builder = new Builder(); var locator = new Locator { { typeof(ILifetimeContainer), new LifetimeContainer() } }; var buildUp = builder.BuildUp<T>(locator, null, null); return buildUp; } for creating object of customer you just call ObjectFactory.BuildUp<Customer> However this creates object of class which has no parameters, however I need to create object which are having constructor with parameters.

  • Dereferencing confusion? What is this example here called?

    - by perf
Considering this PHP example: class A { public function getB( ) { return new B(); } } class B { public function test( ) { echo "Hello"; } } I could use this: $a = new A( ); $b = $a->getB( ); $b->test( ); // Hello Or this: $a = new A(); $a->getB( )->test( ); // Hello Taking a closer look at the second example... What is the name of this form of expression? Does this have something to do with dereferencing? In which programming languages is this available? What other forms of this exist?

  • Which one of the following is NOT a pitfall of inheritance?

    - by Difficult PEOPLE
Which one of the following is NOT a pitfall of inheritance? Base-derive classes should be totally separate and do not have an is-a relationship. Base-derive classes should have been aggregate classes instead. Inheritance may be inverted, example: Truck<-Vehicle should be Vehicle<-Truck. Incompatible class hierarchies may be connected because of multiple inheritance. Aggregation should have been used instead. Functionality is transferred from a base class to a derived one. In my opinion, NOT a pitfall of inheritance meas can use inheritance. 1 seems do without inheritance 2 aggregate substitute Base-derive I don't know So, I think 5 is the answer.

  • Python iterate object with a list of objects

    - by nerd
First time poster, long time reader. Is it possible to iterate though an object that contains a list of objects. For example, I have the following class Class Page(object) def __init__(self, name): self.name = name self.pages = [] I then create a new Page object and add other page objects to it. page = Page('FirstPage') apagepage = Page('FirstChild') anotherpagepage = Page('SecondChild') apagepage.pages.append(Page('FirstChildChild')) apagepage.pages.append(Page('SecondChildChild')) page.pages.append(apagepage) page.pages.append(anotherpagepage) What I would like to do is for thispage in page: print thispage.name And get the following output FirstPage FirstChild SecondChild FirstChildChild SecondChildChild So I get all the 1st level, then the 2nd, then the 3rd. However, the following output would be find as well FirstPage FirstChild FirstChildChild SecondChildChild SecondChild

  • Question About Classic MVC

    - by kernix
Hello, In classic MVC the model notifies the view about changes made on it. In C# this means I have to subclass the View I'm interested in and in the subclassed class register to the model's event. For example, if I were to implement MVC using C# and Winforms, I had to subclass TextBox class and then register inside the MyTextBox's constructor for the model events. Am I correct? How was this issued in Smalltalk? Does one also need to subclass every View in order to register the model's events, or is there some way to dynamically add events to the views on the fly? Thanks

  • How to get suggestions in NetBeans for included files

    - by Flexx
i have a problem to get suggestions for classes which are included in included files. E.g. content of file 'Header.php' is: //File 'Header.php': include('User.php'); //Class file When I now include the Header.php in my file 'Example.php', i do not get any suggestions: //File 'Example.php': include('Header.php'); User:: After typing User:: I exspect Methods and Vars of class User as suggestions, but there arent any. If I would include 'User.php' directly in my 'Example.php' it works, but that doesn't help me. How to solve this problem?
