    When I open software from menu, it says "cannot open software database. Please reinstall the software-center package. The main changes in b24 are the latest round of security updates (e.g. the security changes in jdk repo) and a few other fixes.  For more information see the detailed list of all the changes in OpenJDK 6 B24. Test Results: All the jdk regression tests run with  make test passed. cd jdk6 make make test Per Kelly's  B23 Release blog: The new process is - all the jdk regression tests run with make test should just pass.     Just update my dell Inspiron to 12.04.1. Upon reboot I get the following error: The disk drive for / is not ready yet or not present. I press "S" to skip mount and then I get the folllowing error: the disk drive for /tmp is not ready yet or not present. I have already tried the following from the maintanance shell prompt: dpkg --configure -a No luck same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This morning the SQL Server team announced the release of Service Pack 1 CTP4 for SQL Server 2012. Back in July I talked about CTP3 and how the release contained BI features only; no fixes. The newer CTP does have fixes and other engine enhancements as well; there is even proper documentation in Books Online about the enhancements.     While building some maps today in SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services, I kept coming up with an error that said: A generic error occurred in GDI+ I was struggling to think what I'd done wrong. After much nashing of teeth and removal of hair, I finally worked out what the error was. When I got to the "Choose Color Scheme and Visualization" page of the map wizard for building a color analytical map, I hadn't picked the correct value for the "Field to Visualize" drop-down. Since that post, Rachna Agarwal from MSIT in India updated the RDL files that are ready to go in a single ZIP. The reports assume that they will ne uploaded to the Report Manager’s root folder and use a shared data source named MDW. The reports also integrate with the new Query Hash Statistics reports.     Error that shows in the web page opened by the Topology builder: Error: An error occurred: "Microsoft.Rtc.Common.Data.SqlConnectionException" "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)" Looking in the log file: ( I assume this is the acutal error making it STOP) Installed SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility version is 8.05.1054 Error: SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility is not installed or its version is not high enough. SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatability SP2 or higher must be installed. I have installed SQLServer2005_BC_x64.msi from MS, and cant seem to find this SP2 version. SQL server is a 2008 R2 SP1. I have also tested with a 2008 SP3 SQL server same error. Named pippes output via ( OSQL /L) SQL-2008-1 SQL2

    The official webpage says Assembling DjVu Images into Multipage Documents The batch compressors distributed as part of the DjVuText and DjVuLayered packages can directly produce multipage DjVu file when fed with multiple input files. The files produced are smaller than if the pages are compressed separately because the compressor can extract and share redundant information accross multiple pages. Individually compressed DjVu pages can be assembled into multipage documents using the free package DjVuMulti. To assemble a bunch of DjVu images into a single BUNDLED document simply type: djvubundle page1.djvu page2.djvu.... pageN.djvu document.djvu To assemble a bunch of DjVu images into an INDIRECT document, type: djvujoin page1.djvu page2.djvu.... pageN.djvu documentdir/index.djvu where documentdir must be an existing directory where all the individual page files will be copied. To disassemble a BUNDLED document into an INDIRECT one, simply say: djvujoin document.djvu documentdir/indexfile.djvu To convert a multipage document from one of the old 2.0 multipage formats, do djvureindex olddocument newdocument The programs djvujoin, and djvubundle supersede the 2.0 programs djvuindex and djvumerge. I couldn't find djvujoin and djvubundle for Ubuntu. djvulibre doesn't have them either. Do I miss something? Thanks.

  • What data counters / meters are available?

    Actually I have a wireless 3G modem that works well on Windows based operating system, its interface software were made Windows centric. It can still connect to internet on Ubuntu or other linux based operating system but it won't show the data counter (the interface which shows how much data has been transferred, at what speed). If I continue to surf internet in Linux then I won't have any idea how much data has been used and it would become heavy on my pocket. So I just want a software that let me know how much data has been transferred, if there is a limiter; that warns or disconnects me when I reach predefined MBs then its better. Please let me know if there is any software or script or something like that already there.

  • Database Vault integration available

    One of the major features of Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4.1 is the provision of a base solution for integration to the Database Vault product. Database Vault is part of Oracle’s security portfolio of product and allows database user permissions to be locked down to only allow appropriate users appropriate access to the product data. By default, when you install the product database, administrators and SYSDBA users have full DML (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE access) to the schemas they own and in the case of the SYSDBA users, all schemas on the database. This can be perceived as an issue. Database Vault allows an additional layer of security to disable inappropriate access. In Oracle Utilities Application Framework, a prebuilt Database Vault solution has been provided to provide base DML access to product data for product users only. The solution is shipped with the database installation files and includes a set of SQL files to create, disable, enable and delete the Database Vault objects. The solution contains a Database Vault Realm, RuleSets, Rules and Command Rules that can be used as is or extended to meet site specific needs. The solution is consistent with other Database Vault solutions provided for other Oracle applications such as PeopleSoft, E-Business Suite, JD-Edwards and Siebel. Customers familiar with the database vault solutions for those products will recognize the similarities between the solutions.     Oracle Open World 2012 has been over for a bit more than a week now and we're catching up with post-OOW tasks while still marvelling over what I remember as the best Open World yet. We had a steady traffic at our demo pods, all hands on labs were fully booked (stay tuned for those labs), sessions were very well visited and we met innumerable customers for discussions, feedback and Q&A.   • Google Webmasters tools crawl error caused by URL split into two lines

    I am looking in to Google Webmaster Tools - Crawl Error section. How should I handle for those URL due their system / application showed invalid URL. e.g http://www.example/images/products/s_=enlarge_16gb.jpg but, I dunno what happen to yahoo groups, it break the link into http://www.example/images/products/s_= enlarge_16gb.jpg and I only make the top part become hyperlink, which is http://www.example/images/products/s_= Because of the URL, Google show crawl error, I got few error because of this kind of result or because other people typo error. How do I prevent this. I am sure I don't have the right go and change other people post. What is the solution for this. Thanks!

  • file copy error from system to cifs mount

    When coping a file greater than 64kB from an Ubuntu server to a CIFS mounted windows share, most of the data is copied, but it seems the last chunk doesn't get copied. The size doesn't match, and the md5 check sums don't match. I have plenty of file space, but then I use cp, I get the following... cp: closing `cloudBackup/asdf.txt': No space left on device Using rsync, I get the following... rsync: close failed on "/home/fluffy/cloudBackup/.asdf.txt.qrBWe6": No space left on device (28) rsync error: error in file IO (code 11) at receiver.c(752) [receiver=3.0.8] rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (29 bytes received so far) [sender] rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(601) [sender=3.0.8] I have full read/write permissions on the mounted share. I can copy locally and between the mount and system via SSH just fine. Any ideas? Thank you
