  I created a simple form in typical ZF2 application. Please help. EDIT: When I inspect element, the form generated is strange.   I have a quick question How many dojo filteringselects can I have on a form? I have a form with 2 filteringselects on it, both getting data from different json datastores to populate the values. However only the first filteringselect is being populated, the other grabs no data. I am using Zend Framework and Zend_Dojo_Form to create the form elements for this. Many thanks. Ok looks like my code is broken somewhere then. • Using Google's Contacts API's, how can I get the user's name and gmail address?

  I know how to get the entire contacts list using Google Contacts API (I get a session token and use Google's Zend package for PHP). But how can I get the person's name and email address? Currently, the Contacts API just seems to give all of the contacts. I'm not sure how to distinguish which email and name out of that list corresponds to the user's account. Is there an easy way to get the user's full name and email address? Any help would be useful. Thanks!

• Zend_Soap with attachments (server)

  i'm trying to build a SOAP service with Zend_Soap. Everything is working great but the client needs the ability to send attachments to the service (not base64 encoded strings, as this service will be called multiple times a day with various file sizes so processing all that in memory is not possible. So I'd like to handle a normal SOAP attachment (DIME/MIME) with the SOAP server in Zend Framework however I'm unable to find documentation about it. Can I access it with $_FILES[] or any other way? Is it even possible in Zend_Soap (as there's not that much info available). SOAP is a must - so thanks for the advice but it has to be SOAP, not REST.

• Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable identity not unique

  For authentication on a website i use Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable. Everything work's fine, but Zend Framework only allow unique Identitys in the table. As an identity i use the mail-address from my users. The problem is, that there are more items in the table with this mail-adress. User can delete there account and so i don't delete the whole row, i only change the status to -2 or something else. active user has the status 1. i try to use it like so: $authAdapter = new Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable($db, 'user', 'email', 'password', "? AND `status`='1'"); $authAdapter->setIdentity($email); $authAdapter->setCredential($password); But it doesn't work. If i delete the inactive user with the same mail-address, everything work's. Why is that?

• How do I escape a new line character in a .ini file so that Zend_Config_Ini reads it literally?

  I am trying to store a multiple line e-mail in an ini file using PHP/Zend Framework. My string has new lines characters in it, and when I use Zend_Config_Ini to parse the ini file, the new line characters come back escaped, so they are printed out on screen, instead of a line feed. Example: // ini file message = Hi {0},\n\nThis is a test message.\nGoodbye! is parsed by Zend_Config_Ini as: Hi {0},\\n\\nThis is a test message.\\nGoodbye! which then is printed out in the email as: Hi John,\n\nThis is a test message.\nGoodbye! Instead I want the e-mail to look like this: Hi John, This is a test message. Goodbye! Does anybody know how to achieve this? Thanks!

• Why my VPN doesn't work anymore?

  I have openvpn server running on debian lenny. There is only one client - and it is running Windows 7 64-bit. This has worked for few months without any problems. And now, let's say for the last 7 days, it doesn't work at all. I connect successfully from client to the server, but I can't access anything through VPN. I have set it up so that all internet traffic is routed through VPN, and now when I connect with the client, the client can't do anything on the net (open any webpage, ping google, anything ...). Can you help me to figure out what's wrong ? I don't know where to start. I've also tried to connect to another openvpn server (I've installed and configured openvpn on another server, and when I try to connect to it result is the same). So I think there's something wrong with client ... • Cannot install xdebug

  I'm getting a large number of undefined references when using $ld xdebug.so I have added the "zend_extension="/bla/xdebug.so"" to the conf for apache and it is giving me a config test failed because it cannot find the file. The file has been chown'd to www-data, so I do not believe it is a permissions error. I have run the wizard at xdebug.org/wizard.php to make sure the version would be correct, I updated to the version it recommended with an install from source and still receive the same error with apache and same output from $ld. I originally installed xdebug with: $apt-get install php5-xdebug And have also tried with: $pecl install xdebug

• Installing ZendServer on IIS6

  I need to run ASP and PHP applications side by side, so I installed ZendServer Community Edition on our existing Server 2003 platform. I specified it to use the existing IIS instance so I don't have to deal with multiple ports (we use ZoneEdit to manage our DNS and they don't seem to allow anything other than port 80 without forwarding). The install went smooth but when I try to configure and manage the install by going to http://localhost/ZendServer (or even just localhost) I get a Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) error. I haven't done anything except install the server, and this is my first time working with ZendServer. How do I fix this so I can get things set up?

  Hi, I have setup a kannel SMS gateway on my FreeBSD 7.2 - the service works great. I'm now trying to setup a email2sms feature. For this i have created a system user called kannel and all mails are forwarded to this user. It then do a http request to the SMS gateway. The php-script works. What route should I take to become a systems developer? I always did like C++, but never had a chance to use it for anything. Would mastering C++ be one of the steps? • pfSense: How to route traffic out the WAN port?

  Expert version i want to create a route in pfSense that will send traffic out the physical WAN port, not the PPPoE WAN port. i want to talk to talk to the web-server on my DSL modem, but it doesn't see packets wrapped in a PPPoE header. Long version My pfSense router is responsible for setting up the PPPoE connection over DSL to my ISP. When a machine on the LAN wants to sent packets to the internet, the default route sends packets out over the PPPoE connection. Those packets, wrapped in a PPPoE header, are sent on the ethernet cable to my DSL modem. From there they are sent the ISP, and the internet at large. i want a way to send a packet out the WAN port itself - not the PPPoE WAN port. My modem is sitting out there, with a http interface where i can monitor connection speed signal-to-noise ratio bandwidth connection time Whenever i try to set a route for destination of 192.168.2.1 (the IP that the modem will listen to for HTTP requests) to go out the WAN port, they instead end up going out the PPPoE port. The difference being that they're wrapped in a PPPoE protocol packet, and the modem isn't being sent the packet, it's being delivered to the ISP. Given that pfSense has no ability to direct traffic out the physical WAN port: how can i direct traffic out the physical WAN port on pfSense?

• Why can't I route to some sites from my MacBook Pro that I can see from my iPad?

  I am on M1 Cable (residential) broadband in Singapore. I have an intermittent problem routing to some sites from my MacBook Pro—often Google-related sites (arduino.googlecode.com and ajax.googleapis.com right now, but sometimes even gmail.com.) This prevents StackExchange chat from working, for instance. Funny thing is, my iPad can route to those sites and they're on the same wireless network! I can ping the sites, but not traceroute to them which I find odd. That I can get through via the iPad implies the problem is with the MBP. In any case, calling M1 support is... not helpful. I get the same behaviour when I bypass the Airport Express entirely and plug the MBP directly into the cable modem. • Why can't I route to some sites from my MacBook Pro that I can see from my iPad? [closed]

  I am on M1 Cable (residential) broadband in Singapore. I have an intermittent problem routing to some sites from my MacBook Pro—often Google-related sites (arduino.googlecode.com and ajax.googleapis.com right now, but sometimes even gmail.com.) This prevents StackExchange chat from working, for instance. Funny thing is, my iPad can route to those sites and they're on the same wireless network! I can ping the sites, but not traceroute to them which I find odd. That I can get through via the iPad implies the problem is with the MBP. In any case, calling M1 support is... not helpful. I get the same behaviour when I bypass the Airport Express entirely and plug the MBP directly into the cable modem.   I am a bit confused as to what I am/am not allowed to do with a LGPL Library that I intend on using in a small scale commercial C++ Application that I am developing. My current understanding, although I don't know if I am correct, is that I am permitted use the library without releasing the source to the rest of my application if I dynamically reference the library. Does anyone know if this is correct? Are there any restrictions as to how I reference the library? Thank You! I am not a native English speaker and don't understand the licence entirely.

• Having set up a DCHP server, what do I need to do for the rest of my network?

  I've got a Raspberry Pi arriving any day now, and I intend to use it (amongst other things) as a DHCP server. Currently we have a few devices on our network to which we would like to assign static IPs, and a router, which is currently the DHCP server (the router can assign static IPs, but is buggy as hell, I've never got the config to stick for more than a few hours). Having connected the Pi to the network and configured dhcpl-3-server, what do I need to do on the rest of my network so that it works properly (clients get their IPs from the Pi, and use the Router as the default gateway)?

• Is there an (open-source) ReST-based blogging/forum package out there?

  The site I work on is almost entirely in Javascript, it just goes back (via Ajax) to the server for authentication, database access, things like that. My boss would like me to add blogging, forum, and commenting capabilities. I don't want to implement it from scratch and I certainly don't want to integrate some HTML-generating PHP atrocity. Ideal, I'm looking for a package that does all the backend work and offers ReST interface so I can write a Javascript-based UI that integrates nicely with the existing site. Does such a thing exist?

  I am working on a web system currently and plans to heavily use javascript with ajax to make the user interface more friendlier, not fancy as such. The javascript will be used for client side form validation, data loading from server and creating proper content with the result, also to for floating windows during add/edit or external references. Here is a scenerio that could clearify my question. A user wants to update card but instead of jumping to another page to verify the available colors,size and prizes of product, those information are shown in a floating window and changes in the floating window can affect the underlying one. My question is : 1. What are some of the approaches to encounter this situation? 2. Are there any helpful tips, tricks and links on this subject? I am comfortable with js,php and zend. I would appreciate any advice,tip and tricks, problem solving approach to handle a situation like this! Thanks in advance. Hope this make sense.

• Magento Developers: Is Magento really -that- good?

  We are looking at Magento as a possible commerce solution, but we are reading more bad than good on the free product. However Magento sells itself as the best thing ever, so I am confused on its actual value. Thought I'd ask the pros here. Can any seasoned developer here explain the difficulties in using Magento not only as a commerce solution, but a CMS solution? Can it do easy content management like Drupal, Joomla, etc? If I wanted a custom list of products, is that simple or do you have to spend hours learning where to create the code? Is it modular in the way Drupal is where you can say, here is my custom code, and interact with Magento and change some of its function? Is it difficult to conceive how it works from a developer, user, and customer standpoint? We don't use Zend Framework and are not familiar with Smarty syntax (which I think Magento uses for templating). The risk in my mind is that the learning curve will be really steep (especially for the designers), and trouble tickets may take a long time to resolve (resulting in some pissed off customers). Any thoughts from people who have used Magento extensively?
