My class is this: class Component(var name: String, var number: Int, var subComponent: Set[Component]) Now I need a way to check whether a component is contained within its subcomponent or between subcomponent of its subcomponent and so on.Avoiding possible cycles caused by other Component. Is this the preferred method of exception handling in JavaScript? Are there built-in exception types (like NullPointerException)? (if so, what are they, what kind of inheritance do they use, and are they preferred over other options?)

  • Else without if

    I'm trying to write a code for my computer programming class for a project due Monday, and I'm pretty new to Java, but I'm trying to write a program that will first determine if a number the user inputs is even or odd and then determine if the number is prime or not. I'm not sure if I did the algorithm right or not, so if anyone has any corrections on the program to my algorithm or anything else please say so, but my real issue is that the program is refusing to compile. Every time I try, it says it's having an else without if problem.     If I have the string hello world , how can I modify the regex world|wo|w so that it will match all of "world", "wo" and "w" rather than just the single first match of "world" that it comes to ? If this is not possible directly, is there a good workaround ?     Hi, i have a list with objects. The object has a property 'Sales' which is a string. Now i want to create a list of doubles with the values of all objects' 'Sales' properties.
