  • PHP: parse URL for matching directory /somedirectory/ and execute conditional code

    - by Scott B
    This has to be pretty simple, but I'd like to parse the current URL and execute conditional code depending on whether the user is on the /sitemap/ directory. So for example, if the site is example.com, and if the request is example.com/sitemap/. Then I want to execute conditional code in that case. I'm using wordpress so I'm not sure if there is a built-in function that gets this... A pure PHP solution is fine.

  • jQuery ajax.load div, then have parent container access property

    - by Brett
    So I have a tabbed ui "form", each tab is quiet complicated so it is loaded via the .load('item.html'); command. All good, when the user clicks to a different tab, I want to read a property, maybe execute a function from within the ajax loaded div. What is the best way to get to these properties and methods from outsite the ajax loaded div?

  • jQuery equivalent of PHP's file_exists()?

    - by Scott B
    In the code snippet below, from my jQuery setup, I need to check if the image file actually exists and if not, I'd like to substitute a default image. Currently if the file does not exist, I just get a broken image placeholder... $('#myTheme').change ( function() { var myImage = $('#myTheme :selected').text(); $('.selectedImage img').attr('src','../wp-content/themes/myTheme/styles/'+myImage+'/screenshot.jpg'); //if screenshot.jpg does not exist, use "../../default.jpg" instead } );

  • template; operator (int)

    - by Oops
    Hi, regarding my Point struct already mentioned here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2794369/template-class-ctor-against-function-new-c-standard is there a chance to replace the function toint() with a cast-operator (int)? namespace point { template < unsigned int dims, typename T > struct Point { T X[ dims ]; //umm??? template < typename U > Point< dims, U > operator U() const { Point< dims, U > ret; std::copy( X, X + dims, ret.X ); return ret; } //umm??? Point< dims, int > operator int() const { Point<dims, int> ret; std::copy( X, X + dims, ret.X ); return ret; } //OK Point<dims, int> toint() { Point<dims, int> ret; std::copy( X, X + dims, ret.X ); return ret; } }; //struct Point template < typename T > Point< 2, T > Create( T X0, T X1 ) { Point< 2, T > ret; ret.X[ 0 ] = X0; ret.X[ 1 ] = X1; return ret; } }; //namespace point int main(void) { using namespace point; Point< 2, double > p2d = point::Create( 12.3, 34.5 ); Point< 2, int > p2i = (int)p2d; //äähhm??? std::cout << p2d.str() << std::endl; char c; std::cin >> c; return 0; } I think the problem is here that C++ cannot distinguish between different return types? many thanks in advance. regards Oops

  • Question about a C macro expansion

    - by holydiver
    I generally have ignored using macros while writing in C but I think I know fundamentals about them. While i was reading the source code of list in linux kernel, i saw something like that: #define LIST_HEAD_INIT(name) { &(name), &(name) } #define LIST_HEAD(name) \ struct list_head name = LIST_HEAD_INIT(name) (You can access the remaining part of the code from here.) I didn't understand the function of ampersands(I don't think they are the address of operands here) in LIST_HEAD_INIT and so the use of LIST_HEAD_INIT in the code. I'd appreciate if someone can enlighten me.

  • dlopen and global variables in C/C++

    - by mjn12
    Due to some restrictions I am being forced to load a library written in C at runtime. A third party provides two library to me as static archives which we turn into shared objects. The application I'm working with loads one of the libraries at runtime based on some hardware parameters. Unfortunately one of the libraries is configured largely with global variables. I am already using dlsym to load function references but can I used dlsym to load references to these global variables as well?

  • is it possible to select EXISTS directly as a bit?

    - by jcollum
    I was wondering if it's possible to do something like this (which doesn't work): select cast( (exists(select * from theTable where theColumn like 'theValue%') as bit) Seems like it should be doable, but lots of things that should work in SQL don't ;) I've seen workarounds for this (SELECT 1 where... Exists...) but it seems like I should be able to just cast the result of the exists function as a bit and be done with it.
