  • Pycharm and Webstorm always on top unless minimized

    - by raoulcousins
    I'm running Windows 7. I have the following problem in both Webstorm 7 and Pycharm 3. I haven't found this problem in any other programs. I have not found any clues as to a solution on Google or in the settings of either program. When I run the programs not maximized and I click any other window to switch focus, the Webstorm (or Pycharm) window flashes, appearing to lose focus for a split second before, and it stays on top. This blocks any other window behind it from having focus, and is quite annoying.

  • Webstorm/PhpStorm: Select specific font from a Font Family

    - by Himanshu Pokhariya
    WebStorm/PhpStorm: How do I choose a specific font from a font family? (for the editor). Specifically, I have downloaded the Source Code Pro font. It comes with these typefaces: Extra Light, Light, Regular, Semibold, Bold. Now, I want to choose Extra Light/Light. But, when trying to select a font, Webstorm only shows me one font for the entire family. How do I make it use a specific one? If it makes a difference, I am currently using Mac OS X Mountain Lion (but I'd be interested in finding the answer to this for Windows as well)

  • Jet Brains release WebStorm 5.0

    - by TATWORTH
    At http://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/whatsnew/index.html?WS50ROW, Jet Brains have announced the release of WebStorm 5.0, an IDE that brings the ease of code writing in VB.NET and C# that you get with ReSharper, to JavaScript, CSS and LESS. (There are some more details in http://blog.jetbrains.com/webide/2012/08/liveedit-plugin-features-in-detail/)Code completion in JavaScript, CSS and LESS is a very welcome feature. I look forward to trying out Web Storm. The download at http://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/download/index.html comes with a free 30-day trial).Price information is at http://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/buy/index.jsp - you should note that if you are an open-source developer, you can apply for a free license. The price of a personal license at £23 + VAT is a no-brainer. The price of a Commercial license would have been paid for in a few days of the increased productivity that this tool brings.Web Storm currently requires Google Chrome to run. Like ReSharper it appears to be a very able tool. It includes tools such as:XSLT debuggingJSLint for checking for JavaScript errorsJavaScript debuggingJavaScript unit testing (including code coverage)JavaScript folding regionsCoffeeScript supportWell I suggest that you try WebStorm 5.0

  • Using WebStorm for Razor Syntax MVC

    - by Jay Stevens
    I am building a lot of client-side heavy SPA-like apps with VS2010 and MVC3/4. VS2010 Javascript/HTML/CSS editing (mostly javascript) is interminably slow and sluggish. I'd love to use something like JetBrains' WebStorm to edit my .CSHTML files (with embedded javascript, etc. because I am using RAzor to pop in URL names, etc.) WebStorm seems to have all of the things I want.. better language recognition ("intellisense") and the ability to integrate additional outside libraries into this (I'm using Kendo), etc. Is this possible? How do you get WebStorm to recognize the @"" invoked Razor language inserts? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • how to precompile sass with gruntjs?

    - by chovy
    There seem to be a few plugins...and I'm using webstorm file watcher which also precompiles individual files. I think this may not be the best way to setup a watcher. I'm running this command now: sass --no-cache --update --stop-on-error --trace ./app/sass:./app/css It seems to conflict with the webstorm file watch, which appears to be appending everything to base.css. Can someone tell me what exactly this command is doing vs. a sass filewatcher in webstorm? What's the best way to work with sass: precompile my sass to css using a grunt build task and have file watchers while developing? My base.sass looks like this: @charset "UTF-8"; /* DO NOT EDIT FILES IN ./css. See ./sass instead */ @import "page"; @import "modal"; @import "nav"; @import "tables"; @import "forms"; @import "message";

  • How to add Compass syntax support to Jetbrains PhpStorm?

    - by Madara Uchiha
    I'm using JetBrains PhpStorm, which is probably the most epic IDE I've ever used. The question is simple. How do I add Compass syntax support to it? I've got it installed, it renders and works, but PhpStorm still complains about undefined imports and mixins. How can I resolve this? Can Compass be included as an external library? Edit: I'd just like to note that this feature request is for the RubyMine IDE (also by JetBrains), it's not for PhpStorm/WebStorm.
