How would I get work as a PHP, MySQL Developer?

I've been working with PHP and MySQL to create various projects that I've been interested in, I can design the user interface, and the back end programming. I've created simple social networking sites, book marking sites, and project management software.

So what steps would I take to get a job? Is there a market for PHP, MySQL web developers?

Is it possible to take instructions and work from home for someone? How would I accept payment?

Should I start a company? or work for someone?

I am currently based in South Africa, many of the companies are lacking the innovation that I'm seeking for in a company.
