Changes made to system or program settings which are stored in the registry are restored to a previous values after a reboot.

This question was also posted Each time I do restart - Windows 8 resets my settings/registry to some state

The "solution" was to create a new user - this is not an option as the user is defined by the domain server.

Does anyone know what is causing the resetting and what a proper solution is?
