  • MacPorts: Add an option to configure script

    I am trying to install libguichan without allegro support, because allegro will not build on Snow Leopard. It should be left out, the portfile has: 27 if {${os.platform} == "darwin" && (([variant_isset universal] && [string match *64* $universal_archs]) || (![variant_isset universal] && [string match *64 $build_arch]))} { 28 # allegro is not yet 64-bit compatible 29 depends_lib-delete port:allegro 30 configure.args-append --disable-allegro 31 } But when I install it, it tries to build allegro.   • Core Location Best Placement and User Interruption

    Hi All, My application uses Core Location in three different views. It's working perfectly. In my first view, I subclass the CLLocationManager and use protocol methods for location updates to my calling class. Before I install the framework and code in my other classes, I was wondering: Is the protocol method the best way? What happens to the Core Location execution if the user exits the view or quits the app while it's trying to get a location fix? Is the location task terminated with the GPS system turned off immediately? If the user simply switches to another view, is it OK to assume that I can start Core Location in the next view without regard to the last? Where should the first update location call be placed. Should the application delegate instantiate the CLLocation Manager class using protocol so that it can update any of the views chosen or should each class instantiate the manager. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How do I generate different yyparse functions from lex/yacc for use in the same program?

    Hi, I want to generate two separate parsing functions from lex/yacc. Normally yacc gives you a function yyparse() that you can call when you need to do some parsing, but I need to have several different yyparses each associated with different lexers and grammars. The man page seems to suggest the -p (prefix) flag, but this didn't work for me. I got errors from gcc that indicated that yylval was not properly being relabeled (i.e. it claims that several different tokens are not defined). Does anyone know the general rpocedure for generating these separate functions? thanks

  • which metric(s) show the difference between object-oriented and procedural code

    Which metric(s) could help to indicate that i have procedural code instead of object-oriented code? I would like to have a set of simple metrics, which indicate with a high probability, that the analyzed code contains procedural transaction scripts and an anemic domain model instead of following sound object-oriented design principles. Would be happy about any set of useful metrics and tools for measuring. Thanks, Thomas!

  • Moving the ScrollBar To the Selected Node In A TreeView Control

    I have a treeview control where I am dynamically selecting a node depending on user interaction. when a node is selected I want to be able to have the scrollbar go to the location of that selected node in the tree. The scrollbar is simply made by overflow:auto in the div tag where the treeview is located. Can someone give me some detailed code to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

  • glCreateShaderObjectARB( GL_FRAGMENT_SHADER_ARB ); crashes !

    Hello there, I have an iMac with ATI Radeon 2600HD which supports Fragment_shader_arb. But whenever I use that function, it crashes the program. Ironically, it works on a windows installation in the same machine without any problems. I'm running OS X 10.6.2; Can anyone please help me out! P.S. Vertex shaders work fine without any problem. Thank you!

Customers seeking to move existing environments to OWB 11gR2 should review the new whitepaper, OWB 11.2: Upgrade and Migration Paths. This whitepaper covers the following topics: The difference between upgrade and migration, and how to choose between them An outline of how to perform each process When and where intermediate upgrade steps are required Tips for upgrading an existing environment to 11gR2 without having to regenerate and redeploy code to your production environment. Moving up from 10gR2 and 11gR1 is generally straightforward. For customers still using OWB 9 or 10.1, it is generally possible to move an entire environment forward complete with design and runtime audit metadata, but the upgrade process can be complex and may require intermediate processing using OWB 10.2 or OWB 11.1. Moving a design by itself is much simpler, though it requires regeneration and redeployment.   • Border image on UIView

    I want to have a UIView subclass that has a border image, but i dont want or care about this 'new' frame/bounds around the border image itself. What i wanted to do was just use drawRect and draw outside of the rect but all drawing is clipped and i dont see a way to not clip drawing outside of this context rect. So now i have added a sublayer to the views layer, set [self clipsToBounds] on the view and override setFrame to control my sublayers frame and always keep it at the proper size (spilling over the views frame by 40px) the problem with this is that setFrame on a uiview by default has no animation but seTFrame on a calayer does. i cant just disable the animations on the calayers setFrame because if i were to call setFrame on the uiview inside a uiview animation block the calayer would still have its animation disabled. the obvious solution is to look up the current animationDuration on the uiview animation and set a matching animation on the sublayer, but i dont know if this value is available. And even if it is, im afraid that calling an animation from within another animation is wrong. Unfortunately the best solution is to not use a calayer at all and just add a uiview as a subview and draw into that just like i am drawing into my layer, and hope that with autoresizingMask set to height and width that everything will 'just work'. Just seems like unnecessary overhead for such a simple task.

  • How does MSN filter spam?

    I am trying to create a newsletter for our business. The last few days have been spent testing, and one of things I have noticed is that MSN seemingly randomly filters out some of my test messages. This is super-frustrating. I like the PEAR Mail MIME-package, and have been using that. I may send one email from one of our servers, resulting in the message getting through, and in the next minute, the same message sent from our other server ends up in the junk folder. Then if I add an attachment to the email, and the same message passes though the filter from the server that was previously blocked. I think. What the ####? Is this like throwing a dice, without me having any control over what is trash, and what isn't? I have sent email from several servers, all of which are shared. But I am unsure this is the problem. The problem is that it is seemingly random how MSN filters email. Some emails get through, and some other don't for seemingly irrational reasons. I am running out of ideas, but I am not giving up. Therefore I am writing to you for HARDCORE technical info on how MSN filters spam.

During this I would like to do some animation over a label, for example, changing opacity from 0 to 1 and vice versa and change foreground color between several colors at the same time changing opacity. I want it stops doing animation when background worker finishes its work. How can I do this? and how can I start animation and stop it from c#? Thanks very much!

  • Connecting GPS coordinates taken from a database in Android using Overlay

    I am currently building an application that allows users to track where their phone has been on a Google Map. At the moment, when the onLocationChanged() method is called, the application stores the current GPS longitude and latitude in a database and calls the animateTo() method to the current position. Using SDK 1.5, how would I go about connecting these points with a coloured line drawn on the MapView using an Overlay?.
