Multiple Forms with Different Actions using Submit Buttons

PHP MySQL query string

I am newer to PHP and MySQL and I am having trouble understanding join. I think, for me, the problem lies with actually understanding the logic of the query. What I am trying to do Is select all of the status updates from a table named "post", but only ones from users I am "following", and then display them In order by date. So, I have two databases which are set up like so: posts |post_id|user_id|post_body|date_upload| | 1 | 4 | hey. | 01/2/2012 | follows |relation_id|user_id|followee_id| | 1 | 4 | 2 | Could someone please explain how I should syntactically and Logically set this up? Devise authenticating with username instead of email

I'm new to Devise and have it working fine by using an email address as the authentication key. However, I have a use case which requires a username instead and I can't seem to get it working. I've added a string column, "username" to the users table, changed the fields from :email to :username in the sign-in form, and have changed the authentication key in devise.rb to :username yet when I go to sign in I'm met with this prompt: "Please enter an email address". How to make a Round Robin? or Is there an easier way other than Round Robin?

The problem that I face is in what way if there is issue like the example below: Codes 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 ID 1, 2, 3 ======================================== This: ID number 1 has codes 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 ID number 2 has codes 2000, 4000, 3000 ID number 3 has codes 3000, 4000, 5000 ======================================== When all the fields are connected, each ID has found the same codes. From the example above, I want to produce fair result and adjusted to the code that it had before on each ID as below: ======================================== To be: ID number 1 has codes 1000, 2000 (1000 must be on number 1 cause only it has than other) ID number 2 has codes 3000, 4000 ID number 3 has codes 5000 (5000 must be on number 3 cause only it has than other) ======================================== Some say using Round Robin, but I never heard Round Robin before and I don't have idea how to use it, such a blank mind. Is there another easier way like to use PHP may be? I'm lost. Thanks.

Make two page navigations on top ang bottom of a list

I'm creating a simple PHP page that reads CSV file content and display some selected columns to users in pages Currently, I'm reading each line and display it immediately. Because of this method, I only know total of lines after finishing reading entire file( searching in file also). What I want is displaying two page navigations on the top and bottom of the list. Like this: Page 1|2|3|4 Field 1|Field 2|Field 3|Field 4|Field 5....|Field n Row1 Row2 .... Rown Page 1|2|3|4 After displaying all rows, bottom page nav, I used jquery function: insertBefore to insert another page navi to the top. Problems are: 1) Top page nav not displayed in IE8 but displayed ater pressing F5(worked in FF, Chrome). 2) Using insertBefore function, the top page nav is suddenly poppep up afer displaying the bottom one. It doesn't look naturally Any suggestion?

Installing WindowBuilder on Eclipse 4.2

I'm using Eclipse Juno 4.2, downloaded from here. On previous installs, I've been using 3.7, and I've been using WindowBuilder, which I find very useful. I noticed it wasn't included this time, so I used this update site provided on this page (the zip file download gives a "file unavailable" error). However, when I run the install, it rapidly climbs to 28%, then freezes. After half an hour, I get a very long error that start with this: An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context was:(profile=epp.package.java, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=). Multiple problems occurred while downloading. Unable to read repository at http://download.eclipse.org/windowbuilder/WB/integration/4.2/plugins/org.eclipse.wb.core_1.5.0.r42x201205291332.jar.pack.gz. (full text) Does anyone know how I can go about installing it?

wxPython ,Change the background colour of a StyledTextCtrl

I tried (but nothing happens) self.txt.SetBackgroundColour ((255,0,0)) As said in the title I'm trying to change the background colour StyledTextCtrl. Does anyone know a method that could be used? I've checked the API docs but I couldn't seem to find one, http://wxpython.org/docs/api/wx.stc.StyledTextCtrl-class.html (by background colour, I mean the whole writing area, of course) Does anyone know a way I could do this? C++ Constructor With Parameters Won't Initialize, Errors C2059 and C2228

I'm a C# programmer trying to muddle through C++ to create a Windows Forms Application. I have a Windows Form that makes use of a user-created class. Basically I'm trying to use a constructor that takes parameters, but my form won't let me initialize the object with parameter. Here's the code, hopefully somebody can explain the problem to me because I'm completely baffled... Here's my header file: BankAcct.h public ref class BankAcct { private: int money; public: BankAcct(); BankAcct(int); void Deposit(int); void GetBalance(int&); }; And my definition file: BankAcct.cpp #include "StdAfx.h" #include "BankAcct.h" BankAcct::BankAcct() { money = 0; } BankAcct::BankAcct(int startAmt) { money = startAmt; } void BankAcct::Deposit(int depAmt) { money += depAmt; } void BankAcct::GetBalance(int& balance) { balance = money; } And finally my main form. Won't copy the whole thing, of course, but I'm trying to declare the new bank account object, and start it with a balance of say $50. private: BankAcct myAccount(50); //does not work! It works great if I use the default constructor (the one that starts the bank balance at zero). Writing an app with Perl and Ruby?

I am working on a project that is mostly Ruby on Rails. However, I need to generate and parse Excel files in this project (I know, I know...), so I've been using Perl's Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and Spreadsheet::ParseExcel which work well. However, what is the best way to combine this use of Perl with the larger Ruby on Rails app? Is calling the Perl script with backticks the kosher way to go about this? It feels a little hacky to me, but if that is the only (or best) way, then that's what I'll do. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has some suggestions or advise. Thank you!

Javascript not reading value from hidden textBox - JQuery C#

I'm a non-specialist with JavaScript / JQuery and I'm having trouble figuring out why my script doesn't work. When my C# page loads, I have a hidden textBox txtHiddenKeywordArray which gets dynamically filled with comma separated values like... horse, buggy, track I'm trying to use the highlight functionality in jquery.highlight-3.js where I have a label text field that will contain and highlight the words in the keywords list. I'm using the script <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> var myString = document.getElementById('<%=txtHiddenKeywordArray.ClientID%>').val() myArray = myString.split(" "); $(document).ready(function () { for (i = 0; i < myArray.length; i++) $("p").highlight(myArray[i]) }); </script> Here is the textBox declaration : <asp:TextBox ID="txtHiddenKeywordArray" ClientIDMode="Static" runat="server" Visible="false"></asp:TextBox> It worked great when I hard coded the values of var myString. I've tried researching it and keep seeing the same example of the way I have it done. The page does use a MasterPage. Could this affect it? Any idea how I can get the script to see the values from the textbox? Do I need a RegisterStartUpScript or something? Thanks for any help you can provide.

in jqgrid, how can i have the editform disappear after submit

right now, when i click submit it sends a message to the server and updates the databased and refreshes the screen but it keeps the edit form popup on the screen. Send a String[] ArrayList over Socket connection

So i'm trying to send a String[] Array/List over an open socket connection. My current code doesn't seem to works as it returns null as the value. is this possible?

In Android, does _id have to be present in any table created?

I am trying to create a table to only has a foreign key, not a primary key. I am getting this error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: column '_id' does not exist I read a tutorial that the primary key must be _id, with no explanation. And that is fine. But what if I do not want a primary key! What if I only want a foreign key. I am assuming this is where my problem lies. The schemas below are what I have. How to create a CGBitmapContext which works for Retina display and not wasting space for regular display?

Is it true that if it is in UIKit, including drawRect, the HD aspect of Retina display is automatically handled? So does that mean in drawRect, the current graphics context for a 1024 x 768 view is actually a 2048 x 1536 pixel Bitmap context? (is there a way to print this size out to verify it). We actually enjoy the luxury of 1 point = 4 pixels automatically handled for us. However, if we use CGBitmapContextCreate, then those will really be pixels, not points? (at least if we provide a data buffer for that bitmap, the size is not for the higher resolution, but for the standard resolution, and even if we pass NULL as the buffer so that CGBitmapContextCreate handles the buffer for us, the size probably is the same as if we pass in a data buffer, and it is just standard resolution, not Retina's resolution). We can always create 2048 x 1536 for iPad 1 and iPad 2 as well as the New iPad, but it will waste memory and processor and GPU power, as it is only needed for the New iPad. So do we have to use a if () { } else { } to create such a bitmap context and how do we actually do so? And all our code CGContextMoveToPoint has to be adjusted for Retina display to use x * 2 and y * 2 vs non-retina display of just using x, y as well? That can be quite messy for the code. (or maybe we can define a local variable scaleFactor and set it to 1 for standard resolution and 2 if it is retina, so our x and y will always be x * scaleFactor, y * scaleFactor instead of just x and y.) It seems that UIGraphicsBeginImageContextWithOptions can create one for Retina automatically if the scale of 0.0 is passed in, but I don't think it can be used if I need to create the context and keep it (and using ivar or property of UIViewController to hold it). If I don't release it using UIGraphicsEndImageContext, then it stays in the graphics context stack, so it seems like I have to use CGBitmapContextCreate instead. (or do we just let it stay at the bottom of the stack and not worry about it?)

strange situation of UITableView when I want to scroll it

I'm building an easy app for chatting, each time I type in a sentence, the sentences is added into an array(which used to load the table view in cellForRowAtIndexPath delegate method), then I reload the table view. Calculate data transferred in a local LAN

How do you calculate the data flown between a computer and the gateway computer. I have a Linux router/gateway running IP Tables which routes internet traffic in a LAN. I have individual users with IP/MAC Address mapped who access Interet through the gateway computer. I would like to find out the traffic utilized by individual users. Is it possible for us to find out what kind of traffic was HTTP, SMTP, FTP etc. Is it also possible to pool the information on hourly basis, and get specific info so that I can store information in a database? I have heard of IP Accounting? Is that the right way

VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5 with Intel SPL 5000 in Raid 0 no boot from DVD?

I hope this is the correct StackExchange, since I am only using StackOverflow for Web development, but need some help with my server configuration. I would like to install VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5 on my server here at home and run a view machines on it such as Windows Server 2008 and Red Hat. I used to have either OpenSuse or Windows Server 2008 installed but I would like to get into VMWare Hypervisor. My hardware configuration: - Intel S5000PSL with bios version S5000.86B.10.60.0091 build date 10/09/2008 as of read out of bios - E5420 @ 2.5GHz Intel Xeon CPU The Intel Virtualization Technology is enabled in the BIOS - DVD DH20A4P DVD Writer - 8GB ECC Ram I have configured a RAID 0 on my 2 WD 2TB SATA drives I have burned the Hypervisor 5 on an empty DVD and it is bootable, I tested it on my client PC. The main problem here is basically, that I cannot boot the DVD on my server. I have set the Boot Option to the DVD drive. I have booted from the BIOS straight in the DVD drive and it does not work. I do not see any error messages. The only thing I see are the PXE error messages when it tries booting from the network and other devices, obviously without any result. Does anybody know why I cannot boot the DVD? What could cause the problem? I have sucessfully installed Windows Server 2008 via original DVD about 1 year ago, so the DVD drive can read and does work. The DVD drive is available in the BIOS and I have checked all cables and none of them is loose in any way. I even see the light flashing but it does not want to boot from the DVD. I am looking forward to suggestions and things that I should check. Thank you very much

Nginx $scheme doesn't always work while using SSL for one specific page

I read and followed this question in order to configure nginx to force SSL for one page (admin.php for XenForo), and it is working well for a few of the site administrators but is not for myself. It seems that the extra information in the location ^~ /admin.php block is unecessary, does anyone know of an easy way to avoid duplicate code? Without it it skips the php block and just returns the php files. Currently it applies https correctly in Firefox when I navigate to admin.php. In Chrome, it downloads the admin.php page. When returning to the non-https website in Firefox, it does not correctly return to http but stays as SSL. Like I said earlier, this only happens for me, the other admins can go back and forth without a problem. Is this an issue on my end that I can fix? And does anyone know of any ways I could reduce duplicate configuration options in the configuration? Thanks in advance!

What is causing the unusual high load average and IOwait?

I noticed on Tuesday night of last week, the load average went up sharply and it seemed abnormal since the traffic is small. Usually, the numbers usually average around .40 or lower and my server stuff (mysql, php and apache) are optimized. Web server with static IP from cable provider

I have a subscription to 5 static IP addresses. I want to run a web server from behind a router. My network config is as follows: Server's local address is 10.1.10.2, has IIS running on it, port 80 and 443 (IIS is not my fault, had to be done) the server's ip address is static, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, gateway is 10.1.10.1, which is the local address of the cable modem / router / gateway thingy. All looks to be in textbook order as far as the LAN goes. I can get to anything on my LAN from any computer on my LAN, whether they have static IP or get it through DHCP from the cable modem/router thingy. however, I have no internet access form any of my LAN computers. I called Comcast tech support and they say they can connect to my modem/router just fine and can actually use it to ping any computer on the internet or any computer on my LAN from the router/modem (i checked, myself, this is in fact the case). However, nothing on my LAN has internet connectivity. I tried pinging the DNS servers, nothing. I tried directly typing in web sites' IP addresses, nothing, so doesn't seem to be a DNS issue. Any Ideas? What malfunction of a router could be causing such weird behavior? nay ideas or educated guesses are very much appreciated.

How to verify PostgreSQL 9 has installed correctly on a CentOS server?

I'm trying to install the PG (postgres) gem on a CentoOS server, but it keeps saying Postgres is too old, even though I have upgraded it to 9.1.3 (as per the instructions here http://www.davidghedini.com/pg/entry/install_postgresql_9_on_centos). I am using CentOS 5.8 (and Ruby 1.9.3) Here is the error message: Building native extensions. This could take a while... PHP-FPM not working with nginx and CentOS

After failing to get FastCGI to work with PHP I have installed the PHP-FPM service which is reported to work out of the box, however PHP files are downloading instead of executing. This is what I have in the nginx.conf file: server { listen 80; server_name pubserver; root /usr/share/nginx/html; location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /usr/share/nginx/html$fastcgi_script_name; fastcgi_param PATH_INFO $fastcgi_script_name; include /etc/nginx/fastcgi_params; } } The command netstat -tulpn | grep :9000 displays this which suggests PHP-FPM is running: tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:9000 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1058/php-fpm.conf)

Is this normal? Multiple httpd process

I'm testing a new Server. This isnt really a peak time for my server (2pm), but still its running a bit slow, I was checking the ESTABLISHED connections using the following command: # netstat -ntu | grep :80 | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d: -f1 | sort | uniq -c | sort -n http://i.stack.imgur.com/cZuvP.jpg My MaxClients are set to 50. So as you can see on the picture, only 10 people are eating most of my ram. I got a server with 4GB Ram (2.7GB free for apache) but each apache process is eating 53MB each, wich mean im only allowed to accept 50 process. The KeepAlive = Off, but I notice those connections arent closing fast enough, is that normal?
