  • Has anyone used ever Mangoslick from themeforest?

    - by bonesnatch
    I was assigned to integrate MangoSlick theme to our current admin panel, Its a jQuery, Slick(?) and Responsive template. First, let me explain how the API goes In the documentation, it only says this is the only way data-[options]=[value] Example: If I wanna make a progress bar I can use this format <div class="progress"> <div class="bar" data-title="[title]" data-value="[value]" data-max="[max]" data-format="[format string]"></div> </div> so filling-in values <div class="progress"> <div class="bar" data-title="Space" data-value="1285" data-max="5120" data-format="0,0 MB"></div> </div> I will have this as output Now, the main question is when I use jQuery attr() to change the attribute values for data-title, data-max, data-value and data-format. Why is it not working? <script> var jq = $.noConflict(); jq(document).ready(function(){ jq('#bokz').attr("data-title", "No Space"); }); </script> Using the script above and inspect element in chrome the values are changed but not in the progressbar Some of you may have some ideas on this? Any help/suggestion would be very much appreciated.

  • need an empty XML while unmarshalling a JAXB annotated class

    - by sswdeveloper
    I have a JAXB annotated class Customer as follows @XmlRootElement(namespace = "http://www.abc.com/customer") public class Customer{ private String name; private Address address; @XmlTransient private HashSet set = new HashSet<String>(); public String getName(){ return name; } @XmlElement(name = "Name", namespace = "http://www.abc.com/customer" ) public void setName(String name){ this.name = name; set.add("name"); } public String getAddress(){ return address; } @XmlElement(name = "Address", namespace = "http://www.abc.com/customer") public void setAddress(Address address){ this.address = address; set.add("address"); } public HashSet getSet(){ return set; } } I need to return an empty XML representing this to the user, so that he may fill the necesary values in the XML and send a request So what I require is : <Customer> <Name></Name> <Address></Address> </Customer> If i simply create an empty object Customer cust = new Customer() ; marshaller.marshall(cust,sw); all I get is the toplevel element since the other fields of the class are unset. What can I do to get such an empty XML? I tried adding the nillable=true annotation to the elements however, this returns me an XML with the xsi:nil="true" which then causes my unmarshaller to ignore this. How do I achieve this?

  • Efficient way to remove empty lists from lists without evaluating held expressions?

    - by Alexey Popkov
    In previous thread an efficient way to remove empty lists ({}) from lists was suggested: Replace[expr, x_List :> DeleteCases[x, {}], {0, Infinity}] Using the Trott-Strzebonski in-place evaluation technique this method can be generalized for working also with held expressions: f1[expr_] := Replace[expr, x_List :> With[{eval = DeleteCases[x, {}]}, eval /; True], {0, Infinity}] This solution is more efficient than the one based on ReplaceRepeated: f2[expr_] := expr //. {left___, {}, right___} :> {left, right} But it has one disadvantage: it evaluates held expressions if they are wrapped by List: In[20]:= f1[Hold[{{}, 1 + 1}]] Out[20]= Hold[{2}] So my question is: what is the most efficient way to remove all empty lists ({}) from lists without evaluating held expressions? The empty List[] object should be removed only if it is an element of another List itself. Here are some timings: In[76]:= expr = Tuples[Tuples[{{}, {}}, 3], 4]; First@Timing[#[expr]] & /@ {f1, f2, f3} pl = Plot3D[Sin[x y], {x, 0, Pi}, {y, 0, Pi}]; First@Timing[#[pl]] & /@ {f1, f2, f3} Out[77]= {0.581, 0.901, 5.027} Out[78]= {0.12, 0.21, 0.18} Definitions: Clear[f1, f2, f3]; f3[expr_] := FixedPoint[ Function[e, Replace[e, {a___, {}, b___} :> {a, b}, {0, Infinity}]], expr]; f1[expr_] := Replace[expr, x_List :> With[{eval = DeleteCases[x, {}]}, eval /; True], {0, Infinity}]; f2[expr_] := expr //. {left___, {}, right___} :> {left, right};

  • what use does the javascript for each method have (that map can't do)?

    - by JohnMerlino
    Hey all, The only difference I see in map and foreach is that map is returning an array and foreach is not. However, I don't even understand the last line of the foreach method "func.call(scope, this[i], i, this);". For example, isn't "this" and "scope" referring to same object and isn't this[i] and i referring to the current value in the loop? I noticed on another post someone said "Use forEach when you want to do something on the basis of each element of the list. You might be adding things to the page, for example. Essentially, it's great for when you want "side effects". I don't know what is meant by side effects. Array.prototype.map = function(fnc) { var a = new Array(this.length); for (var i = 0; i < this.length; i++) { a[i] = fnc(this[i]); } return a; } Array.prototype.forEach = function(func, scope) { scope = scope || this; for (var i = 0, l = this.length; i < l; i++) func.call(scope, this[i], i, this); } Finally, are there any real uses for these methods in javascript (since we aren't updating a database) other than to manipulate numbers like this: alert([1,2,3,4].map(function(x){ return x + 1})); //this is the only example I ever see of map in javascript. Thanks for any reply.

  • ASP.NET Web Service returning XML result and nodevalue is always null

    - by kburnsmt
    I have an ASP.NET web service which returns an XMLDocument. The web service is called from a Firefox extension using XMLHttpRequest. var serviceRequest = new XMLHttpRequest(); serviecRequest.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml; charset=utf-8"); I consume the result using responseXML. So far so good. But when I iterate through the XML I retrieve nodeValue - nodeValue is always null. When I check the nodeType the nodeType is type 1 (Node.ELEMENT_NODE == 1). Node.NodeValue states all nodes of type Element will return null. In my webservice I have created a string with the XML i.e. xml="Hank" I then create the XmlDocument XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument(); doc.LoadXML(string); I know I can specify the nodetype using using CreateNode. But when I am just building the xml by appending string values is there a way to change the nodeType to Text so Node.nodeValue will be "content of the text node".

  • Add event to all elements except the given with jQuery

    - by Metropolis
    Hey everyone I created a date picker that uses ajax to populate an element with an id of calendarContainer. When the user clicks on a button to bring the calendar up, I want the user to be able to click anywhere else on the screen besides the calendar and have it hide. The calendarContainer is at the root of the dom and I have tried everything I can think of to get this working. I have gotten the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on. However, when I click on the calendar it is also going away. I only want the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on. Here are all of the things I have tried. $(":not(#calendarContainer > table)").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer)").click(function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $("body:not(#calendarContainer)").click(function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer, #calendarData)").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); Thanks for any help, Metropolis

  • Extended slice that goes to beginning of sequence with negative stride

    - by recursive
    Bear with me while I explain my question. Skip down to the bold heading if you already understand extended slice list indexing. In python, you can index lists using slice notation. Here's an example: >>> A = list(range(10)) >>> A[0:5] [0, 1, 2, 3, 4] You can also include a stride, which acts like a "step": >>> A[0:5:2] [0, 2, 4] The stride is also allowed to be negative, meaning the elements are retrieved in reverse order: >>> A[5:0:-1] [5, 4, 3, 2, 1] But wait! I wanted to see [4, 3, 2, 1, 0]. Oh, I see, I need to decrement the start and end indices: >>> A[4:-1:-1] [] What happened? It's interpreting -1 as being at the end of the array, not the beginning. I know you can achieve this as follows: >>> A[4::-1] [4, 3, 2, 1, 0] But you can't use this in all cases. For example, in a method that's been passed indices. My question is: Is there any good pythonic way of using extended slices with negative strides and explicit start and end indices that include the first element of a sequence? This is what I've come up with so far, but it seems unsatisfying. >>> A[0:5][::-1] [4, 3, 2, 1, 0]

  • jQuery Mobile page overrides desktop HTML div layout

    - by batjko
    I'd like to use jQuery mobile on my desktop page. I'm probably thinking of this wrongly, but I tried simply inserting a page element into an existing standard div, like this: <body> <div id="left_sidebar"> [...] </div> <div id="mylist" data-role="page"> <div data-role="listview"> [list items bla bla] </div> </div> <div id="right_sidebar"> [...] </div> <div id="site_footer"> (c) bla blub </div> </body> ...hoping that only the middle part displays the "mobile" page elements. However, that page div seems to override the entire site and turns the whole body into a mobile page (albeit displaying my listview item nicely... across the entire screen). Any idea what to do? Advice is much appreciated.

  • Detect mouseover and show tooltip text for dots on an HTML Canvas

    - by carl asquith
    Ive recently created a "map" although not very sophisticated (im working on it) it has the basic function and is generally heading in the right direction. If you look at it you can see a tiny red dots and on those tiny red dots i want to mouseover it and see text basically but ive had a bit of trouble getting the code right. http://hummingbird2.x10.mx/website%20creation/mainpage.htm This is all the code so far. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>Oynx Warrior</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="mystyle.css" /> </head> <body> <h1>Oynx Warrior</h1> <canvas id="myCanvas" width="500" height="500" style="border:1px solid #c3c3c3;"> Your browser does not support the canvas element. </canvas> <script type="text/javascript"> var c=document.getElementById("myCanvas"); var cxt=c.getContext("2d"); cxt.fillStyle="#red"; cxt.beginPath(); cxt.arc(50,50,1,0,Math.PI*2,true); cxt.closePath(); cxt.fill(); </script> </body> </html>

  • JQuery - Set TBODY

    - by Villager
    Hello, I have a table defined as follows: <table id="myTable" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <thead><tr> <th>Date</th> <th>First Name</th> <th>Last Name</th> </tr></thead> <tbody> <!-- rows will go here --> </tbody> </table> I am trying to dynamically populate 'myTable' at runtime via JavaScript. To accomodate for this, I am using JQuery. I want to write some HTML into the tbody element within 'myTable'. However, I am having problems understanding how to do this with the selectors. I know that I can get 'myTable' using: $("#myTable") I know that I can set the HTML of myTable by using the following: $("#myTable").html(someHtmlString); However, that sets the HTML of the entire table. In reality, I just want to set the HTML within the TBODY of 'myTable'. How do I do this with JQuery? Thank you!

  • Using AJAX in Rails: How do I change a button as soon as it's clicked?

    - by sdc
    Hey! I'm teaching myself Ruby, and have been stuck on this for a couple days: I'm currently using MooTools-1.3-compat and Rails 3. I'd like to replace one button (called "Follow") with another (called "Unfollow") as soon as someone clicks on it. I'm using :remote = true and have a file ending in .js.erb that's being called...I just need help figuring out what goes in this .js file The "Follow" button is in a div with id="follow_form", but there are many buttons on the page, and they all have an id = "follow_form"...i.e. $("follow_form").set(...) replaces the first element and that's not correct. I need help replacing the button that made the call. I looked at this tutorial, but the line below doesn't work for me. Could it be because I'm using MooTools instead of Prototype? $("follow_form").update("<%= escape_javascript(render('users/unfollow')) %") ps. This is what I have so far, and this works: in app/views/shared: <%= form_for current_user.subscriptions.build(:event => @event), :remote => true do |f| %> <div><%= f.hidden_field :event %></div> <div class="actions"><%= f.submit "Follow" %></div> <% end %> in app/views/events/create.js.erb alert("follow!"); //Temporary...this is what I'm trying to replace *in app/controllers/subscriptions_controller.rb* def create @subscription = current_user.subscriptions.build(params[:subscription]) @subscription.save respond_to do |format| format.html { redirect_to(..) } format.js {render :layout} end Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!

  • Handling very large lists of objects without paging?

    - by user246114
    Hi, I have a class which can contain many small elements in a list. Looks like: public class Farm { private ArrayList<Horse> mHorses; } just wondering what will happen if the mHorses array grew to something crazy like 15,000 elements. I'm assuming that trying to write and read this from the datastore would be crazy, because I'd get killed on the serialization process. It's important that I can get the entire array in one shot without paging, and each Horse element may only have two string properties in it, so they are pretty lightweight: public class Horse { private String mId; private String mName; } I don't need these horses indexed at all. Does it sound reasonable to just store the mHorse array as a raw Text field, and force my clients to do the deserialization? Something like: public class Farm { private Text mHorsesSerialized; } then whenever the client receives a Farm instance, it has to take the raw string of horses, and split it in order to reinstantiate the list, something like: // GWT client perhaps Farm farm = rpcCall.getMyFarm(); String horsesSerialized = farm.getHorses(); String[] horseBlocks = horsesSerialized.split(","); for (int i = 0; i < horseBlocks.length; i++) { // .. continue deserializing the individual objects ... } yeah... so hopefully it would be quick to read a Farm instance from the datastore, and the serialization penalty is paid by the client, Thanks

  • jQuery - How to animate click function without clicking (Slide-show like) - Is this possible?

    - by iamtheratio
    Hello, I have created a jQuery script (with help) that works great however I need it to automate/animate itself without using the click function, I just want to know is this possible and if so, how? Similar to a slide-show. Basically the code allows me to click on an image and hide/show a DIV, while changing a list of elements such as class/id name. Here's my code: JQUERY: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ //if this is not the first tab, hide it jQuery(".imgs:not(:first)").hide(); //to fix u know who jQuery(".imgs:first").show(); //when we click one of the tabs jQuery(".img_selection a").click(function(){ //get the ID of the element we need to show stringref = jQuery(this).attr("href").split('#')[1]; // adjust css on tabs to show active tab $('.img_selection a').removeAttr('id'); // remove all ids $(this).attr('id', this.className + "_on") // create class+_on as this id. //hide the tabs that doesn't match the ID jQuery('.imgs:not(#'+stringref+')').hide(); //fix if (jQuery.browser.msie && jQuery.browser.version.substr(0,3) == "6.0") { jQuery('.imgs#' + stringref).show(); } else //display our tab fading it in jQuery('.imgs#' + stringref).show(); //stay with me return false; }); });

  • pre_replace multi-dimensional array problem

    - by Martin
    I want to replace word groups by links. I use a multi-dimensional array to define these (in the real world there will be thousands of them). Here's the code: $text = "<html><body><pre> Here is Foo in text. Now come Baz? and Bar-X. Replace nothing here: Foo (followed by brackets). </pre></body></html>"; $s = array( array("t" => "Foo", "u" => "http://www.foo.com", "c" => "foo"), array("t" => "Baz?", "u" => "http://www.baz.net", "c" => "test"), array("t" => "Bar-X", "u" => "http://www.baz.org", "c" => "test") ); foreach ($s as $i => $row) { $replaced = preg_replace('/(?=\Q'.$row["t"].'\E[^(]+$)\b\Q'.$row["t"].'\E\b/m', '<a href="'.$row["u"].'" class="'.$row["c"].'">'.$row["t"].'</a>', $text); } echo $replaced; ?> The problem is that only one array element is replaced and not all. It's something about $text in peg_replace(). Anyone got a hint for me? Thanks!

  • Consuming a HTTPS Web Service in .Net 3.5 Web Project

  • Sorting the output from XmlSerializer in C#

  • Efficient mapping of game entity positions in Java

    - by byte
    In Java (Swing), say I've got a 2D game where I have various types of entities on the screen, such as a player, bad guys, powerups, etc. When the player moves across the screen, in order to do efficient checking of what is in the immediate vicinity of the player, I would think I'd want indexed access to the things that are near the character based on their position. For example, if player 'P' steps onto element 'E' in the following example... | | | | | | | | | |P| | | | |E| | | | | | | | | ... would be to do something like: if(player.getPosition().x == entity.getPosition().x && entity.getPosition.y == thing.getPosition().y) { //do something } And thats fine, but that implies that the entities hold their positions, and therefor if I had MANY entities on the screen I would have to loop through all possible entities available and check each ones position against the player position. This seems really inefficient especially if you start getting tons of entities. So, I would suspect I'd want some sort of map like Map<Point, Entity> map = new HashMap<Point, Entity>(); And store my point information there, so that I could access these entities in constant time. The only problem with that approach is that, if I want to move an entity to a different point on the screen, I'd have to search through the values of the HashMap for the entity I want to move (inefficient since I dont know its Point position ahead of time), and then once I've found it remove it from the HashMap, and re-insert it with the new position information. Any suggestions or advice on what sort of data structure / storage format I ought to be using here in order to have efficient access to Entities based on their position, as well as Position's based on the Entity?

  • Slideshow in Javascript without framework, animation?

    - by aaron
    The issue I am having is fairly complicated to explain. I have written up a javascript that displays an image slideshow, and it works fairly well, despite using up more resources than I would like // imgArr[] is populated before var i = 0; var pageLoaded = 0; window.onload = function() {pageLoaded = 1;} function loaded(i,f) { if (document.getElementById(i) != null) f(); else if (!pageLoaded) setTimeout('loaded(\''+i+'\','+f+')',100); } } function displaySlideshow() { document.getElementById(destinationId).innerHTML = '<div id="slideWindow"><img src="'+imgArr[i]+'" />' + '<img src="'+imgArr[i + 1]+'" /></div>'; setTimeout('displaySlideshow()',1000*3); i++; if (i >= imgArr.length - 1) i = 0; } loaded(destinationId,displaySlideshow); So, this script dynamically adds two images to a HTML element, and it is wrapped in a div. The div is styled with the height and width of the image, with the overflow (the second image) hidden. The second image is below the first, and the slideshow is meant to go from RIGHT to LEFT. My inquiry is twofold: 1) Is there a more efficient way of doing this? 2) How would I animate the images? Would I need to put the second image on the right of the first with CSS somehow, and then set a timer to pull the images (via a style) leftward?

  • JQuery click anywhere except certain divs and issues with dynamically added html

    - by jCuga
    I want this webpage to highlight certain elements when you click on one of them, but if you click anywhere else on the page, then all of these elements should no longer be highlighted. I accomplished this task by the following, and it works just fine except for one thing (described below): $(document).click(function() { // Do stuff when clicking anywhere but on elements of class suggestion_box $(".suggestion_box").css('background-color', '#FFFFFF'); }); $(".suggestion_box").click(function() { // means you clicked on an object belonging to class suggestion_box return false; }); // the code for handling onclicks for each element function clickSuggestion() { // remove all highlighting $(".suggestion_box").css('background-color', '#FFFFFF'); // then highlight only a specific item $("div[name=" + arguments[0] + "]").css('background-color', '#CCFFCC'); } This way of enforcing the highlighting of elements works fine until I add more html to the page without having a new page load. This is done by .append() and .prepend() What I suspected from debugging was that the page is not "aware" of the new elements that were added to the page dynamically. Despite the new, dynamically added elements having the appropriate class names/IDs/names/onclicks ect, they never get highlighted like the rest of the elements (which continue to work fine the entire time). I was wondering if a possible reason for why my approach does not work for the dynamically added content is that the page is not able to recognize the elements that were not present during the pageload. And if this is a possibility, then is there a way to reconcile this without a pageload? If this line of reasoning is wrong, then the code I have above is probably not enough to show what's wrong with my webpage. But I'm really just interested in whether or not this line of thought is a possibility.

  • reset TextView scroll to top

    - by JayAvon
    Okay well I apologize for how sloppy this code is, but I still cant figure out how to post a code tag on here correctly. So I am making an Android application (Java) and i have a scrolling text field. If the user scrolls a long row down and stays at the end when they click the next row and if it is short, it will be scrolled down on that element too even though it may be a 1 line(and non scrollable) row. I was wondering if there is any way I can call something to right after txtLvlInfo.setText to reset the x-scroll value to 0 or something so it is always reset to the top of the content, long or short. Thanks for any help with this and please let me know if I need to clarify more. TextView txtLvlInfo = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.txtLevelInfo); txtLvlInfo.setMovementMethod(new ScrollingMovementMethod()); switch (v.getId()){ case R.id.row1: txtLvlInfo.setText("1: My text view is only two lines max and so I set it to scroll, if the user clicks row2 to load that text while having me scrolled down they have to click and pull to drag back down to the top of text view 2 row."); break; case R.id.row2: txtLvlInfo.setText("I only fill line 1 of the two."); break; android:textColor="#052027" android:text="" android:id="@+id/txtLevelInfo" android:scrollbars="vertical" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_toRightOf="@+id/minimizeBtn" android:layout_marginRight="38dip"

  • Multiselect tranfer in zend

    - by niriza
    I want to transfer the selected value of Zend_Form_Element_Multiselect to another multiselect element of zend form. I tried this with JQuery it works but when I try to populate the form I get a problem what should I do in my controller. My code look like this: Form: $form['core'] = new Zend_Form_Element_Multiselect('core'); foreach ($results as $row) { $form['core']-addMultiOption($row['id'],$row['competencies']); } $form['core']-setLabel('Core competencies')-setAttrib('id','select1'); $form['core_competency'] = new Zend_Form_Element_Multiselect('core_competency'); foreach ($results as $row) { $form['core_competency']-addMultiOption($row['id'], ''); } $form['core_competency']-setAttrib('id','select2'); $form['subsidiary'] = new Zend_Form_Element_Multiselect('subsidiary'); foreach($results as $row) { $form['subsidiary']-addMultiOption($row['id'],$row['competencies']); } $form['subsidiary']-setLabel('Subsidiary competencies'); $form['subsidiary_competency'] = new Zend_Form_Element_Multiselect('subsidiary_competency'); $form['subsidiary_competency']-addMultiOption('',''); $form['save'] = new Zend_Form_Element_Submit('competencies'); $form['save']-setLabel('Save')-setValue('competencies') -setAttrib('id','competencies-save'); $this-addElements($form); $this-setMethod('post');

  • Algorithm to determine indices i..j of array A containing all the elements of another array B

    - by Skylark
    I came across this question on an interview questions thread. Here is the question: Given two integer arrays A [1..n] and B[1..m], find the smallest window in A that contains all elements of B. In other words, find a pair < i , j such that A[i..j] contains B[1..m]. If A doesn't contain all the elements of B, then i,j can be returned as -1. The integers in A need not be in the same order as they are in B. If there are more than one smallest window (different, but have the same size), then its enough to return one of them. Example: A[1,2,5,11,2,6,8,24,101,17,8] and B[5,2,11,8,17]. The algorithm should return i = 2 (index of 5 in A) and j = 9 (index of 17 in A). Now I can think of two variations. Let's suppose that B has duplicates. This variation doesn't consider the number of times each element occurs in B. It just checks for all the unique elements that occur in B and finds the smallest corresponding window in A that satisfies the above problem. For example, if A[1,2,4,5,7] and B[2,2,5], this variation doesn't bother about there being two 2's in B and just checks A for the unique integers in B namely 2 and 5 and hence returns i=1, j=3. This variation accounts for duplicates in B. If there are two 2's in B, then it expects to see at least two 2's in A as well. If not, it returns -1,-1. When you answer, please do let me know which variation you are answering. Pseudocode should do. Please mention space and time complexity if it is tricky to calculate it. Mention if your solution assumes array indices to start at 1 or 0 too. Thanks in advance.
