  • Is this application possible with the twitter api?

    I have to make an application where a "sender" can send a message to a group of people and to a location. So when a member of the group reach this place (using location position with the cell phone), he receives all the messages for this location. I have thought to make the application using the twitter API, but I'm not really sure if that functionality is possible. Thank you!

    I have been using CouchDB on some prototype applications and it has been brilliant, very easy to use and extremely quick. I was wondering if anyone has been using it in production and have any views on it's reliability, performance suitability for operational management etc ?? I am considering using it to support a service layer and would make use of its replication functionality. Any comments/experiences would be most welcome.

  • How to fix emacs popup dialogs on mac?

    Hello emacs gurus, I'm out of ideas here - my emacs crashes when popup dialog is opened. The x-popup-dialog function is probably to blame but I found no workaround to this. My Emacs version is 23.1.1 . Unfortunately some functionality of emacs calls this (e.x. customize asks whether it should save the changes) which causes the crash. Does anybody know how to fix it or disable it?

  • Unzipping zip archives with JavaScript in Firefox 3.6

    I am toying with an application that will demo some Firefox 3.6 specific functionality, most of which are listed here: http://demos.hacks.mozilla.org/openweb/ I want to drag a zip file in the browser, unzip it, and work with the unzipped contents. Are there any existing libraries that can do this? Does FireFox 3.6 in particular have something I can use? Or would I have to roll my own unzipper library? However, I'd like to be able to change my app settings from within my app. It seems as though there should be some kind of generic way to add this functionality to my app without having to recreate all the controls myself.     Hi, I am developing a Flash game using as3, I chose flex Builder with an AS3 project. Now I am thinking that if selecting the project to be a flex project instead of as3 project I would have a lot of flex functionality like a swf loader,preloaders and the popup manager etc. The graphic components would obviously have been made in flash and used through the swc (avoiding the heavy mxml components). Need to know what other developers think of this approach.

    Hi all, How do I programatically upload an XSLT file to an SSRS server database? I would like exactly the same functionality as the 'Upload File', preferably using the 'rs' command. I have tried rs.CreateResource, but it doesn't seem to work for XML/XSLT files (though it works for Excel and image files) I understand that manipulating the SSRS db is not supported. Thanks

    Just found out that the video output of the iPad is not a system level functionality, but that it needs to be explicitly build in into each app. Is there somebody who has any experience with this, who could point me to sample code? Secondary question would be: why wouldn't Apple make this a system feature. Is it a hardware issue, that I should be aware of when building this into my app?

    Hi all, I am looking to implement a WebDAV server in ASP.Net. the app will be deployed to IIS 6. I have seen a few frameworks that provide this functionality, but I can't seem to identify how they're able to accomplish it without (apparently) modifying IIS settings. My specific question is how do I configure IIS and ASP.Net so that a IHttpModule/IHttpHandler might have an opportunity to handle any of the additional WebDAV verbs (i.e. LOCK, OPTIONS, PROFIND, etc.)
