• jQuery: Hide/Display tabs (and its corresponding content) with check boxes

  Hello, Well, this must be very simple to do for most of you, but I have no idea how to accomplish this. I have a set of tabs and on top of the tabs is a set of checkboxes ; each checkbox 'corresponds' to a tab. What I need is to be able to activate/deactivate each checkbox and have its corresponding tab (and the tab's content) hide/display.   I'm working on a customized calculator, which is working pretty well except that I can't figure out how to get the generated numbers to display commas within the number. For example, it might spit out "450000" when I need it to say "450,000". This thread gives a number of suggestions on how to create a new function to deal with the problem, but I'm rather new to JavaScript and I don't really know how to make such a function interact with what I have now.   HP Pavilion dm4 with configuration as shown below cpu intel Core i5 2.26 GHz RAM 4.0 GB Graphics processor 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5450 switchable graphics [HDMI, VGA]. I installed ubuntu 10.04 ( without AMD graphics driver) it was working fine, but when I installed AMD graphics drivers AMD Catalyst™ 12.8 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver, than the problem started from then When I boot I was get black screen. Than I thought to upgrade from ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 using the bootable pen drive but was getting black screen than read on some forums that was because of the switchable graphics, than upgraded ubuntu 12.04 by setting to "nomodeset". It was working, again thought to install graphics driver AMD Catalyst™ 12.8 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver, again after installing this, when I boot I am getting blank scree . Can anyone help me to inatall ubuntu 12.04 along with AMD Catalyst™ 12.8 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver. Any help is highly appreciated.

  I have started Tightvncserver on Lubuntu 12.04 via the command $ tightvncserver -geometry 800x600 -depth 16 :2 VNC server successfully started and I got message like follows. New 'X' desktop is gateway:2 Starting applications specified in /home/dolv/.vnc/xstartup Log file is /home/dolv/.vnc/gateway:2.log Then I've successfully loged in from remote PC using realvncclient. Trying to start Chromium-browser from menu... no luck. There was one more attempt: I opened the LXTerminal from menu. Trying to start is from terminal with the command /usr/bim/chromium-browser & it returned the message like follows: Xlib: extention "RANDR" missing on desktop :2 I have also discovered that after my two attampts the chromium-browser has created 2 new windows on the host on which was session running on display :0 The Question: How to make the browser start on that display from which it was called (in my occasion from vnc session display)?

• What are the pros and cons of non-unique display names?

  I know of at least big title game (Starcraft II) that doesn't require unique display names, so it would seem like it can work in at least some circumstance. Under what situations does allowing non-unique display names work well? When does it not work well? Does it come down to whether or not impersonation of someone else is a problem? The reasons I believe it works for Starcraft II is that there isn't any kind of in-game trading of virtual goods and other than "for kicks" there isn't much incentive to impersonate someone else in the game. There's also ladder rankings so even trying to impersonate a pro is easily detectable unless you're on a similar skill level. What are some other cases where it makes sense to specifically allow or disallow duplicate display names?

The problem is that all the values are being written at the same place. I have tried to insert a new line but it does not seem to work. Can anyone suggest me how i can do it?   So i just made my first RSS feed, or so i tought, in combination with CI. Now my view DOES display the top of my rss page (Title and Description), But all items are omitted. When i rightclick-view source it DOES contain all the items within the item tags. Can anyone help me?   I'm missing something fundamental, and probably both simple and obvious. My issue: I have a view (CPlaybackView, derived from CView). The view displays a bunch of objects derived from CRectTracker (CMpRectTracker). These objects each contain a floating point member. I want to display that floating point member when the mouse hovers over the CMpRectTracker. The handler method is never executed, although I can trace through OnIntitialUpdate, PreTranslateMessage, and OnMouseMove. This is in Visual C++ v. 6.0. Here's what I've done to try to accomplish this: 1. • ComboBox values disappears after selected when objects used for display

  I have a combobox where I want to display objects and have enum values returned. When first opened the combobox displays the items as supposed, but after a value is chosen it seems to disappear from the list. But if the combobox is active I can use the keyboard to navigate up and down between the other values, so they are in the list but only invisible. I have created a little test application to show my problem.   Kind of new to JQuery and I was wondering how can I state that the users submitted info was saved when they click the submit button by displaying the message Changes saved at the top of the form and then have it disappear when the user leaves the web page and return back to it? • Clicking Elements in Android Doesn't Display the Correct Values

  I apologize if this code looks a bit like a mess (considering the length); I figured I'd just include everything that goes on in my program at the moment. I'm attempting to create a fairly simple Tic Tac Toe app for Android. I've set up my UI nicely so far so that there are a "grid" of TextViews. As a sort of "debug" right now, I have it so that when one clicks on a TextView, it should display the value of buttonId in a message box. Right now, it displays the correct assigned value for the first element I click, but no matter what I click afterwards, it always just displays the first value buttonID had. I attempted to debug it but couldn't exactly find a point where it would pull the old value (to the best of my knowledge, it reassigned the value). There's a good possibility I'm missing something small, because this is my first Android project (of any note). Can someone help get different values of buttonId to appear or point out the error in my logic? • SQL Server: How to tell if a database is a system database?

  I know that so far (until MSSQL 2005 at least), system databases are master, model, msdb and tempdb. Thing is, as far as I can tell, this is not guaranteed to be preserved in the future. And neither the sys.databases view nor the sys.sysdatabases view tell me if a database is considered as a system database. Is there someplace where this information (whether a database is considered a system database or not) can be obtained?

• Why i disconnect every few seconds? using USB wireless adapter

  i know it's for ubuntu questions..but mint and ubuntu are very similiar and i had the same problem with linux ubuntu too..so i think this is the right place for my question anyway i don't have experience with drivers and other things,after installing Linux on my machine( i did dist-upgrade btw) everything seem to be great because i didn't have to install any driver, after a while i realized that my connection stop after few minutes(actually it shows that I'm connected but it's not) so i have to reconnect and after few minutes it disconnect again. I'm using Alfa USB wireless adapter AWS036H, and my Linux version is 11 i think the driver i'm using is Realtek i searched in the Internet and i found nothing. these are some outputs of few things   Attention advanced Freemarker gurus: I want to use a single freemarker template to be able to output tables of arbitrary pojos, with the columns to display defined separately than the data. The problem is that I can't figure out how to get a handle to a function on a pojo at runtime, and then have freemarker invoke that function (lambda style). From skimming the docs it seems that Freemarker supports functional programming, but I can't seem to forumulate the proper incantation. I whipped up a simplistic concrete example. Let's say I have two lists: a list of people with a firstName and lastName, and a list of cars with a make and model. would like to output these two tables: <table> <tr> <th>firstName</th> <th>lastName</th> </tr> <tr> <td>Joe</td> <td>Blow</d> </tr> <tr> <td>Mary</td> <td>Jane</d> </tr> </table> and <table> <tr> <th>make</th> <th>model</th> </tr> <tr> <td>Toyota</td> <td>Tundra</d> </tr> <tr> <td>Honda</td> <td>Odyssey</d> </tr> </table> But I want to use the same template, since this is part of a framework that has to deal with dozens of different pojo types. I have tried a few things, such as pojo.col.name and <#assign property = col.name/> ${pojo.property} but of course these don't work, I just included them to help convey my intent. I am looking for a way to get a handle to a function and have freemarker invoke it, or perhaps some kind of "evaluate" feature that can take an arbitrary expression as a string and evaluate it at runtime.
