• Elinks and flash

  Hello everybody, is there a possibility to "use" flash based objects with elinks ? I mean, i have an online flash based multiplayer game ( http://haxball.appspot.com ) and i want to connect to game with elinks installed on my shell server to create an always-present game room. To do it, i need a terminal-based webbrowser with flash support. There is an elinks installed so it would be great if there is such a possibility in it. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

• Linux Mint networking not enabled in VMWare

  Hi, I installed Linux Mint in VMware, and I do not understand how to enable networking. My VMware settings use a bridged connection. My other linux distros run fine in vmware - networking works for them. But Linux Mint is the only one that isn't obtaining an ip address. Furthermore, I do not see an option in the administrative menu of Mint to enable networking... Please help. Thanks, Igor

  What is the difference between adding MIME types in these 2 different situations? When in IIS 6 manager... Right click on the computer name (local computer) properties mime types Right click on the "Web sites" folder properties http headers mime types I'm guessing that perhaps option 1 adds MIME types for FTP also? However if that were true i'd expect to be able to add MIME types specifically in the properties of FTP (and not just websites). thanks for your help.

  I have a legal copy of Snow Leopard on DVD (retail) which I am attempting to use to create a bootable flash drive. The software I have been directed to use requests a .iso file (as I am familiar with from other os installs), but when inserting the DVD into either Windows 7 or Ubuntu 9.10 the disk is recognized only as a "Windows Support" DVD, with materials to "support Apple hardware with Windows." This is eventually intended for a hackintosh attempt on an ASUS EEEPC 1000HE netbook. This is an install disk. Thanks

  If you had a wired network, 20 PCs hooked up to a 100 Mbit/sec switch (same onboard ethernet port speed) and you were just sending some test data round. What is the technical explanation as to why 20 machines sending test data around this network to each other is slower than one to one? I mean I know a busy network means it's slower but I'm really trying to understand some more technical details. Thanks for any help

  I successfully configured Postfix to deliver messages to virtual mailboxes. I can set aliases and pipes inside /etc/postfix/virtual and mailboxes inside /etc/postfix/virtual_mailbox files. However, whenever I set a catch-all domain and point to a remote email address, it overrides all other virtual mailboxes and virtual aliases set in postfix. How can I set a catch-all forwarding to the remote email address when virtual mailbox is enabled? I set catch-all like this: @mydomain.com [email protected] Thanks for your help!

  It it possible to configure a SunOne web server to automatically redirect all URLs with capital letters to the corresponding lower case URLs? For example, redirect /Example, /eXamPle and /EXAMPLE all to /example. This would have to be for all URLs (or at least a subset excluding a specific prefix) I normally have nothing to do with web server configuration (especially not SunOne).   I have a Windows Vista laptop that won't boot at all. On the D: drive I have DriveImage XML images of C: drive, but I don't have a BartPE boot CD and I don't have a Vista install CD. How can I image the C: using the images on D: if I can't make a BartPE CD because I can't boot to Windows? Is there a BartPE (with DriveImage XML plugin) iso I can download from somewhere, or what can I do? Thanks.

The path changes server to server and hence it makes life harder! If it matters to you, I am using Kaspersky endpoint security 10.
