  • Debian 7: "Failure of key exchange and association"

    I'm installing Debian using the Live CD with GNOME and the non-free packages. The internet works just fine when using the live CD, but when you try to open the installer and select a network, it gives me the error of "Failure of key exchange and association". I've put everything in right, and tried multiple times. However, it never works. Am I just going to have to use ethernet to install? Thanks, people.

    I am trying to show the Days between NOW() and the dates (dd/mm/yy) in, either Column B or Column C - depending which one is NOT blank A B C 29/03/10 01/04/10 29/03/10 02/04/10 29/03/10 30/04/10 29/03/10 31/03/10 29/03/10 03/04/10 I currently have the formaul below and then drag it down, but it obviously means I need to go back and amend the 'errors'. =DAYS360(A1,B1) I always forget how to nest this type of NULL/BLANK thing so any help, or pointers to remember would be appreciated.   • How to excport hives from registry in Windows.000 after re-install

    I had to reinstall Windwos and my old WIndows directory is now called Windows.000 I tried to resinatll my s/w applications, but one told me it has been insatlled on the max number of PCs, even though this was the first I ever sinsatlled it on. I think it might be ok if I can export teh relvant registry hive from teh old windows & import it into the new ... but how can I do that? Thanks in advance

  • Implication of variable context switching time

    Hi, I know that constant switching time of the Linux scheduler was a big achievement. I was just asking myself the question what would be the implication of a non-constant switching time. The only obvious reason I can think of is real-time systems where we have to meet deadlines. There it is obviously no ideal if the switching time is "random".   • Socket error sendig data from loftware to zebra zm400

    I have a problem with my Zebra zm 400. I print a label from loftware, and in random times comes the label not out from the printer. When this issue comes, then I can't ping my printer or I can't achive the webpage of the printer. Only I need to disconnect the UTP cable from te Zebra. and after this disconnect work the printer fine. And in variale intervals come this problem again! Thanks and regards, Mike

  • Taking a screencast in Backtrack 4

    I'm working on a tutorial using Backtrack 4 Live USB, and I would like to take a screencast of what I'm doing (not just screenshots) So far I have tried these application with limited success: -recordmydesktop -xvidcap -wink -istanbul -vlc -vnc2flv Each time I try the resulting files are generally choppy (at best 1 frame per second) and most don't even end up with a clear view of the screen each time. If anyone has suggestions for the screencast I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Bryan

    I've moved all of my files from the root of my website into a subfolder, I'd like to do an Apache redirect to point to the files without affecting the other subfolders in my site. E.g. /index.html -- redirect to -- /subfolder1/index.html /file1.html -- redirect to -- /subfolder1/index.html /subfolder2/index.html -- No redirect Can anyone help me with the redirect rule that I need to write for this.     Why did my old windows 7 install boot faster/run smoother & cooler than each the three linux distros I have recently tried (ubuntu 12.04 unity, linux mint 13 MATE, and fedora 17 on gnome 3.4)?. I have tweaked my linux installs for the ssd (enabling trim, disabling swap, etc.) I'm using an Acer TravelMate with i5-2410m processor, intel hd 3000 graphics, 8 gigs of ram, and a 256 gb samsung 830 ssd.   • Textmate rails bundle

    Normally when working inside a Ruby on Rails view file, I can hit CTRL + SHIFT + . to get open/close tags for rails like so: <%= selection %> I'm not sure how, but yesterday this functionality stopped working. I reinstalled the Ruby on Rails bundle for Textmate but alas, it did not help. Can anybody speculate might have happened and how I could fix it/reset to original settings? Thanks!

    I've installed a trial of Adobe Flash CS4 (i didn't use this trial till the end) and wrongly entered the expired license number. I ran uninstall and tried to install a trial version again. Seems, that it keeps somewhere the wrong serial number and each time i run the Flash application it alerts me, that the license has expired. How do i properly install the trial?   • Import a bunch of certificates into the correct certificate store using a script

    I have a collection of certificates in a p7b file, and I would like to automatically import each certificate into the correct store depending on the certificate template. What is the best way to do this with a script? I tried using certutil -addstore root Certificate.p7b, and that will correctly place all of the root CAs into the root store, but it returns an error if it encounters any other type of certificate. I'm willing to use batch scripts, vbscript or powershell to accomplish this task. Thanks!

  • Does anyone know a way to interact with HP OV(NNM) with python, perl or bash?

    Do anyone know if there is out there any API/library to access NNM database from perl or python? We have a NNM 7.53 which give us access to its data with its java based applet through http. And of course through the 'ovw' GUI interface. I've tried to use Mechanize and selenium2(webdriver) to automatize some checks. The pourpose is to integrate it with our other monitoring services on our "general master console". Many thanks. Marc
