  • VB.NET - 'Title' is not a member of 'Calendar.Appointment'

    I am having a problem with my code. I am using VB.NET and Visual Studio 2010 to write my program. The source of the control that I am using can be found here. First, I imported the Calendar.DayView.dll file into my toolbox to use as a control. Then I added the following code to my existing code: Private Sub DayView1_NewAppointment(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal args As Calendar.NewAppointmentEventArgs) Dim appointment As New Calendar.Appointment() appointment.StartDate = args.StartDate appointment.EndDate = args.EndDate appointment.Title = args.Title appointments.Add(appointment) End Sub I get this error 'Title' is not a member of 'Calendar.Appointment'. I have no access to the Calendar namespace or the Appointment class. I am able to view the properties of both in the Object Browser but I can't edit any of them. Any suggestions?

  • jQuery: datepicker - Calendar activated by the icon and the date field at the same time

    Hello, I've already looked around but couldn't find the exact solution/problem I'm having right now. All I want is to have the calendar appear either by clicking on the calendar icon AND from the text field in which the date appears when selecting a date. Right now, after trying different properties, I can only have the calendar appear by one or the other, but not both: the icon and the field. This is the code I'm using to activate it via the icon: $("#datepicker").datepicker({ showOn: 'button', buttonImage: 'images/icon-calendar.gif', buttonImageOnly: true, changeMonth: true, changeYear: true, showAnim: 'slideDown', duration: 'fast' }); Is there a way to have the calendar appear by clicking on the icon AND the field as well?     Right now I am using this code Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd"); cal.set(cal.get(Calendar.YEAR), cal.get(Calendar.MONTH), cal.get(Calendar.DATE) - 1, 12, 0, 0); //Sets Calendar to "yeserday, 12am" if(sdf.format(getDateFromLine(line)).equals(sdf.format(cal.getTime()))) //getDateFromLine() returns a Date Object that is always at 12pm {...CODE There's got to be a smoother way to check if the date returned by getdateFromLine() is yesterday's date. Only the date matters, not the time. That's why I used SimpleDateFormat. Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Sharepoint 2010 Calendar Event Receiver

    I have been tasked with creating a calendar in a root site that get's updated from child site calendar events. I am able to access the Calendar List from the parent site in the child site's to add an event. However, I'm having trouble finding a way to create a uniqueIdentifier for the event so that when the child calendar's event is updated or deleted, the parent site calendar get's updated as well. The ListItem ID field appears to be only unique among the site. I did find a UniqueItemId field, but apparantly it's read-only in the SP LIstitem object. Can someone please give me some guidance here? Many thanks!

  • Setting user calendar permissions on Exchange 2007

    We have Exchange 2007 with about 100 users. I would like to change everyone's free/busy permissions to grant Reviewer status to a specific AD group. I have tried PFDAVAdmin tool but when I commit any changes, they do not affect the users. If I grant myself Reviewer permissions to another user's calendar using the tool, I still cannot view that user's free/busy details, and I also don't show up on the list of people with permissions on that user's Outlook calendar options. It seems like PFDAVAdmin simply appears to do something, but doesn't actually change anything. Is there any other way for me to accomplish what I need to do? Or is there something I may not be doing right with PFDAVAdmin?   • Edit Enterprise Calendar in Project Server 2010

    Has anyone been able to successfully edit the Standard calendar in 2010? I'm trying to change the working times as none of our admin accounts seem able to do it. We're running Project Server 2010 RTM on SharePoint 2010 RTM with Project Pro 2010. When I click the Edit Calendar button in PWA it triggers Project client to open up but it just opens up an empty project and I've not access to edit the Standard calendar using any of the published steps. It would be great to hear if someone has managed to do this so I can work out if it's a general glitch in this build or is it just a problem with out setup.

  • How do I open multiple windows when Outlook 2010 starts?

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit App: Outlook 2010 32-bit Server: Exchange 2010 I'd like to modify Outlook's default startup behavior so that it shows both my Inbox and Calendar when I click my shortcut. I use both of them all day, and know how to just right-click the calendar and select "Open in New Window." I run my inbox on one screen and my calendar on another. I also configured my calendar to be the folder that opens by default when I start Outlook so I don't miss early appointments, but if I could somehow have BOTH open in two separate windows, that would be awesome. Is there a command-line interface or something that can accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

    The new MobileMe iCal data lives in the cloud, and the data on your computer is actually a cache. This support article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4226 from Apple explains how to backup calendar data by exporting to an .ics file. I would like to automate that process via AppleScript, Automator or any other method (paid software is fine). The sticking point with AppleScript is selecting the calendar on the left hand column. In Automator I don't think the available actions support this level of automation.

  • Making a C# w/ WPF multiple frame text / pseudo-calendar GUI application [closed]

    I am editing a recently asked question and making it specific, taking the advice of some people here. I would like to program of the following simple form: The user can produce X number of resizable frames (analogous to HTML frames). Each frame serves as a simple text editor, which you can type into and save the whole configuration including resized windows and text. The user should be able alternately "freeze" and present the information, and "unfreeze" and edit frames. I want to use C## with WPF, in Microsoft's Visual C#. I do not yet know this language. I am sure I can pick up the syntax, but I would like to ask about some general advice for how to structure such a program. I have never made a GUI program, let alone one that interfaces with a notepad or some basic text editor. Can someone either direct me to a good resource that will teach me how to do the above? Or outline the basic ingredients that such a program will require, keeping in mind that though I know some C and Python, I have no experience with GUIs or advanced programming generally? In particular I don't know how to incorporate this "text editor" aspect of the program, as well as the resizable frames I would greatly appreciate any help.

    I've tried several systems to keep my clients requests / work organized, but somehow they still fall through the cracks. I don't like the idea of a bug tracker-like site for every client (I would not check them all). Ideally, it's all in one page but separated by client. What systems do you guys use? I'm about to just use a spreadsheet with columns for clients. Just curious if there's something better out there :) I've seen smartsheet in action which is basically a really nice spreadsheet that shows bars of time between things that are due. This looks promising.

  • Start Time & Calculated Column Wonkiness in a SharePoint Event Calendar

    I was creating some custom rollups on some of our event calendars and came across a very odd bug when trying to grab only the date component of the built-in Start Time field. One's first inclination will be to create a calculated column and give it the formula... =[Start Time]... and then assign its output type to be "Date Only." This works well until a user adds an All Day Event. For reasons unexplainable, the All Day Event flag causes your =[Start Time] to display the date minus one day. Here is an example of this in action:  Start Date and Time, Duration, Start Date Value and Start Day are all calculated fields. Notice how the Start Date and Time (=[Start Time]) is reporting 6:00PM of the previous day. The Start Date Value (=[Start Time] - Output Type: Number) confirms this (.75 = 6:00 PM.) Curiously enough, the Duration (=[End Time]-[Start Time]) is properly reporting the duration between 12:00AM and 11:59PM. Why? I don't know. Perhaps it's somehow bound to the regional settings on the site, but I'm not interested in changing a global site setting for the sake of one calculated field.With this information at our disposal, our calculated column to display the date part of the start date needs to be modified to add one day to the [Start Time] field if an All Day Event is selected. To determine this, we use the Duration above to assume the item is an all-day event and change our formula to be:=IF(TEXT(([End Time]-[Start Time])-TRUNC(([End Time]-[Start Time]),0),"0.000000000")="0.999305556",[Start Time] + 1, [Start Time])This will work, but what happens when the user de-selects the "All Day Event" checkbox? The duration stays the same, but all other values begin reporting the correct time: Since our formula above is strictly based on an expected duration, it will add one to the correct date, causing the date 5/11/2010 to appear. Notice though that the raw value of the start time (in this case) is a non-fractional number (40,308) whereas the all-day event was being represented as 6:00 PM (.75) of the previous day. We can use this to add one more nested branch of logic to our calculation:=IF(TEXT(([End Time]-[Start Time])-TRUNC(([End Time]-[Start Time]),0),"0.000000000")="0.999305556",IF([Start Time]=ROUND([Start Time],0),[Start Time],[Start Time]+1),[Start Time]) I feel somewhat... dirty about having to resort to this kind of calculation in what SHOULD have been a simple =[Start Time] to extract the date part of the Start Time field, but there you have it. Make sure to shower extra longer after having used it.

  • Why does Evolution give me multiple reminders for the same event?

    I have a bunch of calendars on my Google Calendar account (school & work, personal, etc.), so I have Evolution subscribed to each one of those calendars. When I get a notification for an upcoming (recurring) event, I actually get many notifications for the same event, all at the same time. For example, just now I got 21 notifications for one event. I am using Gnome Shell, where the message tray displays event notifications in its own way. I get the same behaviour on my other computer, also running Ubuntu 11.10 with Gnome Shell. (And it has happened running Unity where Evolution only shows its dialog window with event reminders, but I'm not sure if it has happened quite as intensely). Does someone know why this is happening, and maybe how to fix it? It would be cool to get slightly less panic-inducing event reminders :)

  • Will there be an option in the GUI to change the week-starting day in 11.04?

    This has been problematic for me in Ubuntu since I live in the UK but want the week to start on a Sunday (because that is the system my work use). I've faffed about in the last couple of versions of Ubuntu to no avail (it changes in Evolution but not on the desktop calendar etc.) and don't want to be editing locale files. I understand it's probably an issue with GNOME so are there any plans to implement it with Unity? I find it baffling that an operating system doesn't have such a simple option that even my phones always seem to have had.

  • How to setup Calendar permissions for group to group

    I've been scouring the internet and so far have only been able to find examples of how to grant calendar permissions from one user to another using the Add-MailboxFolderPermission command. This is great and it was okay for when they only had a handful of users. But going forward it's not realistic to have to set individual calendar permissions for all calendars for each new user. Layout of security groups already created. Each group has a few people assigned to it. Techs Managers Admin What I am trying to accomplish is set it up so that anyone that belongs to the Managers group can view the calendars of the Tech group. Admins can view and edit the Tech group. I've found an example of adding just the security group name but I get an error of: [PS] C:\Windows\system32add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity Techs:\Calendar -User "Admin" -AccessRights Owner The user "Admin" is either not valid SMTP address, or there is no matching information. + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Add-MailboxFolderPermission], InvalidExternalUserIdException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 39352699,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.StoreTasks.AddMailboxFolderPermission Am I creating groups wrong?   • Exchange 2010 update timezone of all calendar items

    We are currently operating Exchange 2010 server with Outlook 2010 clients on a ship. We have just changed timezones for the first time in quite a while today. Is there any way to rebase all the calendars and/or update all the calendar items to the new timezone at the same time? I have looked at the following tools already. Microsoft Exchange Calendar Update Configuration Tool - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6266 (Doesn't support exchange 2010) Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17291 The Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook does work for individual users, but has some serious downsides. Including each user needs to run it (approx 400 users), and also it only seems to work on the default account in Outlook 2010, a lot of our users have role accounts as well that we would need to run the tool on. The only way I can find to get this tool to run on the role accounts is to make the role account the default account in outlook, and that in itself is quiet an involved process especially if you have 2 or 3 role accounts. So is there a way to just change all calendar items on our Exchange server to a different timezone in one go? We are a little unique in terms of the whole organisation can change timezones over night, meeting rooms and all, but surely a product as advanced as Exchange 2010 allows us to do what we need.

  • Outlook 2007 - Mailbox doesn't show my Items (like Calendar)

    Hi All, I have running an Exchange Server 2003 and 2 IBM Laptops (A&B)with XP SP3. On both Laptops Office 2007 is installed. Laptop "A" Outlook doesn't show me my Calendar and Notes entries in my mailbox tree on Laptop "A". I can click on the calenendar tab and the entries are there. On Laptop "B" it is working fine. I know that I can make a "rigth click" on "mailbox" and choose "create new folder". Than I select i.g. my calendar. It creates it, but I can't access it through my mailbox tree. Clicking on the Calendar tab works fine again. So, the mailbox is fine (I think). There must be failure with Outlook. I tried these commands here with no positive result. Outlook /cleanviews Outlook /resetfolders I want to avoid a repair installation of Outlook, because the whole office needs to be repaired. (And both laptops belong to my boss) :) Thanks, Toby

  • Problems with calendar application on Android 2.1

    Hi, I have compiled the android 2.1 source code and I can start the emulator. But I can't launch calendar application. Every time I tried to lauch the calendar application, it crashed.   • JAVA: ICEFACES: component <ice:selectInputDate> mapped on a "java.util.Calendar" field

    Does anybody knows how can component <ice:selectInputDate> be mapped on a java.util.Calendar field, not java.util.Date? I am using from IceFaces version 1.8.2, the component <ice:selectInputDate>. This component requires to be bound with a java.util.Date proeprty. For example, value="#{bean.myDate}", the myDate field must be of type java.util.Date. But I need my date field to be of type java.util.Calendar. My trials: I have tried to use standard converter or a custom one: Standard one: <f:convertDateTime pattern="dd/MM/yyyy" /> it formats correct the value in GUI, but when setting it on the property bean.myDate of type Calendar I get following error message: [5/3/10 12:09:18:398 EEST] 00000021 lifecycle I WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed. sourceId=j_id12:j_id189:myDate[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(/WEB-INF/xhtml............file.xhtml @507,51 value="#{bean.myDate}": Can't set property 'myDate' on class 'bean' to value '5/11/10 3:00 AM'.), detail=(/WEB-INF/xhtml........file.xhtml @507,51 value="#{bean.myDate}": Can't set property 'myDate' on class '...bean...' to value '5/11/10 3:00 AM'.)] Custom one: <f:converter converterId="c2d"/> getAsObject - returns the java.util.Calendar object out of the submitted String. getAsString - receives an Object, and returns the String formatted. NOTE: this method was hacked so instead of expecting java.util.Calendar, to be complementary with getAsObject method. Instead, the hacked method getAsString, expects an java.util.Date, provided as parameter (by ice:selectInputDate) and returns the String formatted. But still an error message occurs: [5/3/10 12:55:34:299 EEST] 0000001f D2DFaceletVie E com.icesoft.faces.facelets.D2DFaceletViewHandler renderResponse Problem in renderResponse: java.util.GregorianCalendar incompatible with java.util.Date java.lang.ClassCastException: java.util.GregorianCalendar incompatible with java.util.Date at com.icesoft.faces.component.selectinputdate.SelectInputDate.getTextToRender(SelectInputDate.java:252) Any hint is very useful!
