What is the maximum power consumption of a graphics adapter with an ATI Radeon X850 Pro GPU?
Proofs via sources (downloadable manuals) would be appreciated.
The case: Newegg listing for Chenbro ES34169-BK-120
The motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-D525TUD (Newegg has it as well but I can't post more than one link due to being a new user)
As far as the question, the system fan I have no idea how to get these to connect to the motherboard. There are two connectors which then go to extension fan cables. So when you connect these, it should be good, but the extension cables are two connectors that go to the system fans and a female molex connector (if you click the Chenbro listing, look at the 6th picture and you'll see the two connections being made and the molex connector just kind of hanging out in the case). Is there a piece I'm missing to get it to connect to the 3 pin sys_fan section of the board?
Thanks,
I cannot open Thunderbird. The process isn't running, but when I click on the icon, I get the the following error:
Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Thunderbird process, or restart your system.
I've tried the following:
Ending the task in Task Manager
Deleting parent.lock
Uninstalling Thunderbird
Uninstalling Firefox
Running Thunderbird in software "safe mode" and Windows safe mode
What can I do to fix this problem?
The problem looks more serious than expected. I do not see any Mail folder in my profile at C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Mozilla\Thunderbird. I think I lost my email.
i have a Acer Aspire One D257. In this netbook the hard disk is defect so i bought a new one. Now i want to reinstall Windows 7. Im using an external DVD Drive plugged into USB.
The Windows 7 DVD is staring, Win7 setup is starting and when it comes to Hard Drive options it says that no drive was detected and i should try search for drivers. It shows me this window: Screenshot from web
Now i cant find the right drivers for this netbook to continue with the installation.
The laptop has the newest BIOS - 1.15, it is reset to factory default settings except that i enabled the Boot Menu prompt with F12.
From the Acer Support Website i've downloaded the SATA AHCI Driver and the Chipset Driver. I unpacked both to a USB flashdrive in seperate folders.
When i select the SATA AHCI Driver it does not find any drivers. When i uncheck the checkbox "Hide drivers that are not compatible with hardware on this computer" it shows one driver: Acer HWID (path_to\1.inf). When i continue with this driver i got an error message that says something like: No new devices found. Check if the driver files are on the installation disk.
When i show him the Chipset Driver it sees a lot more driver. When i uncheck the checkbox "Hide drivers that are not compatible with hardware on this computer" it show some drivers:
Intel N10 Family DMI Bridge
Intel N10/ICH7 Family PCI Express Root Port
Intel N10/ICH7 SMBUS Controller
Intel N10/ICH7 Family USB Universal Host Controller
Intel N10/ICH7 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller
Intel N10/ICH7 Family Interface LPC Controller
When i uncheck this checkbox i get a lot more drivers, and some SATA Drivers but the also do not work. I get the same error message as before.
Can someone help me find a driver that should work or am i doing anything else wrong?
I have an InfoPath Form template that has some Date Picker controls in it bound to elements in an xml data source.
I know I can change the display format of the date by going into the Date Picker Properties and setting the date format. This foramt is only used for display puposes when the form is being filled out. When the form is saved as an xml file the date is always stored in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
Is there a way to change the date format that gets serialized to xml?
I'm using InfoPath 2007.
I have a Samsung 830 SSD in my notebook connected to a SATA interface. This is a rather old HP notebook nc8430 which means SATA is SATA I and not II or even III that disk supports. But SATA I still supports speeds up to 150MB/s so I expected at least double values as per image below.
CrystalDiskMark shows rather slow performance:
I've been using this SSD for over a year now and I would like to know what to do to make it blazingly fast as other reports say it should be?
Edit
As suggested I'm adding AS SSD screenshot of the test.
And Samsung Magician's benchmark which is likely biased...
I'm looking to set our WINS servers via GPO, is that possible? We have 2 SSID which our clients can connect to (one which connects to a DHCP we control, the other to a different DHCP we don't - each with their own WINS).
We do a lot of mapping via DFS so that's why we need our wins servers.
Help?
When I send an invite it goew out OK, however, I don't get an acceptances acknowledgement back. Both I and the person who got the invite are on exchange.
When the person who got the invite sends an email responce there is a .ics mini-attachment. When I click on the .ics attachment it doesn't put anything in the calander, it just points to the contact for the person I sent the inviter to.
Hi all,
when I try to copy any file with scp on Mac OS X Snow Leopard from another machine I get this error:
scp [email protected]:/home/me/file.zip .
Password:
...
---> Couldn't open /dev/null: Permission denied
this is the output of "ls -l /dev/null":
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 3, 2 May 14 14:10 /dev/null
I am in the group wheel, and even if I do "sudo scp..." it doesn't work. It's driving me crazy, do you have any suggestion?
Thanx!
How can I instruct Tomcat to hold log files for each virtual host and app separately, similar to:
${tomcat.home}/logs/vhost-app-date.log
This is under the assumption that I configure all virtual hosts to log to the console, and they are unaware of the virtual host and application name they're running under.
How can I access the values within $@ starting from the third one? Right now I'm passing them from three to nine, but I think theres a better way:
while getopts ":n" opt "$3 $4 $5 $6 $7 $8 $9"; do
I’m trying to find a device that would allow a windows 7 client to wirelessly connect and display their screen to a projector while still connected to the wireless network. The idea is to allow a professor to still project and display content while walking around the room with their tablet. To date, haven’t been able to find a solution that meets the requirements, has anyone stumbled across one yet?
Requirements
Must support Windows 7
Must be able to connect to WPA2 Personal(and hopefully enterprise)
Must not use any usb dongles – those get lost/damaged given a chance.
Goal
Wirelessly display screen to projector without cables from tablet/laptop.
I don't want to tunnel TCP over ICMP (as ptunnel does), I want to go the other way around.
I'm in the situation where I have TCP (HTTP) connectivity to a machine but an internal firewall over which I have no control is swallowing pings. The monitoring software I'm using appears to determine connectivity by attempting to send a ping before it tries to just connect to the web service on the target machine. It's failing this ping test and giving up.
I believe if I could fool my monitoring software into thinking pings were getting through, it would then connect to the web service and be on its merry way. Anyone know how I can do this?
I have SSH and root access on the destination machine.
I just got DirecTV. It worked for a day, but now the TV video constantly skips 1/2 second, then plays 1 second. Also, the bottom 5th of the screen is solid green. The audio does not skip.
I tried to do "Set up TV signal" (in Media Center) - but I get an error. See the post I just made here titled "Error - “IR Hardware not detected” - but it’s installed/working."
Thanks for your help.
Scenario I'd like to use:
I want to have two fields in a Word document. I would like to enter a date in the first one. Then I want the second one to display a value based on the date I entered in the first field.
Is there support for this kind of scenario in Office Word 2007?
I looks on the web but couldn't find any useful info. I did find info about formula support but not for this kind of scenario.
Periodically, while using my Windows 7 Pro desktop installation, the screen suddenly dims. The brightness is about 75% normal (estimate). It's as if I am in a power-saving mode on a laptop running on batteries. But this is a full desktop installation.
I know it is not a hardware glitch or monitor adjustment issue because the Windows cursor is still bright white while everything else goes dim.
The Control Panel Power Options have not been changed. They are set to "Balanced [active]" and I have tried restoring the default settings. Flipping through the power and display settings, everything looks "normal." There is no screen saver or power-off-after settings apparent.
Rebooting the system resets everything to full brightness but I can't find a way to restore it in Windows or to keep it from happening in the first place.
Suggestions?
So my MacBook Air keeps dropping Wi-Fi for some reason. It happens ONLY on my home network, and ONLY to my computer. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router. I'm the only Mac on the network. Every other Wi-Fi network is perfectly fine, and every other computer on this network is fine. Many things can happen. It could say it's connected, but not be able to access the internet (whether it tells me that there's no internet access or not). It may just drop Wi-Fi altogether, and refuse to connect.
Generally, if I unplug the router and plug it back in, it's all good. It also works if I restart my computer. This happens multiple times a day. Yesterday I did everything I know to get it to connect (restart router many times, restart my MacBook), and nothing worked. Eventually it just magically worked.
How can I stop this from happening? We got a notice from Comcast a while ago saying that a bot called DNS Changer was detected on one or more machines on the network. I'm assuming that this can't be me, right?
I've got 2 Netgear N300 (WNR2000v3) routers.
Here's my setup:
Modem Router 1 Private Users/Router 2 Public Wireless Users on "Guest" Network.
I want to prevent users who are connected to Router 2's "Guest" network from accessing anything that is connected to Router 1. There is an option when setting up the "Guest" network called "Allow guest to access My Local Network" which I thought if unchecked would do this very thing; however, I can still access files and such of computers connected to Router 1.
Router 1 assigns 192.0.0.x IP addresses, Router 2 assigns 10.0.0.x IP addresses, how can they even see each other? Do I need to change the subnet or something else?
I have a dell laptop (henceforth we'll call this the server) running Windows 7 Enterprise. The server is part of my company's domain. My primary user account is a domain account.
When I am at home and not connected to the domain, I prefer to connect to the server using Remote Desktop Connection from my MacBook Pro (we'll call this the client). The problem is, that if I do not physically login to the server, I am unable to connect to it using RDC from the client.
I have a local administrator account on the server, and connecting to it via RDC works just fine.
I had a feeling that the Mac RDC application was not giving me the full story, so I attempted the same procedure from a Windows 7 client. When trying to login, I get this message:
So basically, If I logon to the server physically with my domain user and lock the computer, I can then successfully logon from the client. Otherwise, I am unable to connect.
I've noticed lately that places to learn about both power supply cables and also peripherals and fans aren't that easy to find.
There's very little information available that gives detailed explanations of what cables are used inside a computer. What I found was very dated and often lacked detailed explanations.
For someone planning out their first build it would be great way for this to be explained all in one place, like here!
Important things to know about cables and connections in a computer?
What are their names?
Where do they connect to and why?
What typical Voltages do they output?
Changing Voltages for Overclocking?
Please refernce PSU cables(Full modular, Modular and Non-Modular,24-pin, 20+4-pin etc), SATA(I, II, III), Molex etc.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention any information about PSU rails would also be appreciated :)
I have done a small web development project using eclipse. It runs well when I try running it on browser with url localhost:8080/myproject/home.html. But if I want to access it on another machine (laptop, mobile, etc. using the same wifi) it is not possible; it is not able to connect.
After Googling for a while found out that I have to use the IP address instead of 'localhost'. So I tried 10.0.0.4:8080/myproject/home.html, but still does not work. In fact i am unable to open that url on the same machine (where localhost:8080/myproject/home.html works fine). I also added a new Inbound rule in control panel firewall settings, allowing access to all ports for protocol TCP. Still have problem in running application with the url 10.0.0.4:8080/myproject/home.html (both on same machine as well as laptop and mobile).
FYI i am using Eclipse Indigo, Apache tomcat 6.0 and server.xml file contents is as below:

My Asus Zenbook UX32V turns off randomly when I'm working on it. This happens both when the computer is recently turned on (5 minutes), and after being on for several days.
I'm not running any heavy software
The laptop is not heating
The fan is not working on the maximum capacity (it's not heating)
It happens when the laptop is lying still on the table
It is no warning, it simply goes black
It happens both when charging and on battery
My guess is that it suddenly lose power somehow. What puzzles me is that I can flip the laptop upside down, sideways, shake it, etc. without it shutting off. This makes me think it's not something that's loose causing occasional short-circuits. I realize that the laptop probably doesn't like flipping and shaking, but it was the best way I could troubleshoot.
I rarely turn the computer off, only have it in hibernate or sleep mode (most often hibernate). I've never experienced that the laptop is off when I wake it up from sleep mode. I've had the problem for a few months and it happens 2-8 times a week.
Specs:
Asus Zenbook UX32V
Windows 8.1 (it happened in Windows 8.0 too)
Intel i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz
The laptop is approx 1.5 years, but it has a small dent on one of the sides that probably voids the warranty. The dent has been there since week one and I don't think it's related to the problems I'm having now.
Does anyone have a clue what might cause this, and how it might be fixed?
I've read all other questions (some of which are listed below) that seem related to my issue, but none report the same behavior as I'm experiencing. Most report heavy games, heating etc.
