  • Go from a ViewController, to an other section of a TabBar

    Hi, I'm currently doing an application with 5 View Controllers and a tabBar on the bottom. For this application, I need to set up a button in viewController(1) which can send me to an other viewController(3), but without touching the tabBar (it will be hidden for the viewController(1)).     Hi, since in mysql datetime field is represented as string (i'm not sure how it works internally), wouldn't be from performance point of view faster to store date as unix timestamp? I don't need to use any mysql native date functions, i'm going for performance of sorting and selecting data. if there was an index for that column, would be difference between int and datetime? I've used CreateWaitableTimer functions, everything goes fine, at given time PC wakes up - but monitor stays in power save mode (turned off). So i want to know - how possible to turn on monitor after wake up?     I have a basic interpreter in clojure. Now i need to implement for (initialisation; finish-test; loop-update) { statements } Implement a similar for-loop for the interpreted language. The pattern will be: (for variable-declarations end-test loop-update do statement) The variable-declarations will set up initial values for variables.The end-test returns a boolean, and the loop will end if end-test returns false. The statement is interpreted followed by the loop-update for each pass of the loop.     Is it possible to tie a C++ output stream to another output stream? I'm asking because I've written an ISAPI extension in C++ and I've written ostreams around the WriteClient and ServerSupportFunction/HSE_REQ_SEND_RESPONSE_HEADER_EX functions - one ostream for the HTTP headers and one for the body of the HTTP response. I'd like to tie the streams together so that all the HTTP headers are sent before the rest of the response is sent.

  • Why does C qicksort function implementation works much slower (tape comparations, tape swapping) than bobble sort function?

    I'm going to implement a toy tape "mainframe" for a students, showing the quickness of "quicksort" class functions (recursive or not, does not really matters, due to the slow hardware, and well known stack reversal techniques) comparatively to the "bubblesort" function class, so, while I'm clear about the hardware implementation ans controllers, i guessed that quicksort function is much faster that other ones in terms of sequence, order and comparation distance (it is much faster to rewind the tape from the middle than from the very end, because of different speed of rewind). Unfortunately, this is not the true, this simple "bubble" code shows great improvements comparatively to the "quicksort" functions in terms of comparison distances, direction and number of comparisons and writes. So I have 3 questions: Does I have mistaken in my implememtation of quicksort function? Does I have mistaken in my implememtation of bubblesoft function? If not, why the "bubblesort" function is works much faster in (comparison and write operations) than "quicksort" function?     Ok, so I'm the author of a CMS and I'm interested in building a CalDAV-server that enables the user to interface with my CMS through CalDAV instead of only through the web, so they can see their calendars, add todos and things like that. I've looked at http://www.davical.org/ which is a CalDAV service built in PHP, but it has its own database and I already have the DB stuff done and just want a middle-layer services that translates, both ways, to and from my databases using my functions. Any ideas?

  • CQRS and email notification

    Reading up on CQRS there is a lot of talk of email notification - i'm wondering where to get the data from. Imagine a senario where one user invites other users to an event. To inform a user that he has been invitet to an event, he is send an email. The concrete mecanics might go like this: A "CreateEvent" command with an associated collection of user to invite, is received by the server. A new meeting aggregate is created and a method "InviteUser" is called for each user that is to be invited. Each time a user is invited to an event, a domain event "UserWasInvitedToEvent" is raised. An email notification sender picks up the domain event and sends out the notification email. Now my question is this: Where do i go for information to include in the email? Say i want to include a description of the event as well as the users name. Since this is CQRS i can't get it thru my domain model; All the properties of the domain objects are private! Should i then query the write side? Or maybe move email notification to a different service entirely? Any thoughts will be much appriciated!
