  Hi All, I've spent some time today looking for a pure ruby library that will parse an excel workbook. I could find the parseexcel gem in the repos, but the problem is that I can't find any documentation on it. and the rdoc is pitiful. so, my question is 1) is there good documentation out there for this gem? 2) if not, is there another gem that does the same thing that has good documentation? thx :) -C

  Hello, Consider the URL www.something.com/HereWeGo. When someone enters the url, the site shows a 404 error since the directory does not exists. I can parse the URL to get the query and HereWeGo, but cannot stop it from going to a 404 error. How can I achieve it by PHP, if it is possible to avoid .htaccess now Thanks Jean

  Hi, I am aware of this question already existing, but it has given me no luck. I have an application which loads a physicial XML document via the following method: jQuery.ajax( { type: "GET", url: fileName, dataType: "xml", success: function(data) { etc... I parse the XML and convert it into a string which is saved into a variable so that it can easily be stored in a database. How can I now convert the data in this variable back into an XML object so that it can be parsed as such?

  The documentation on parse_ini_file (http://php.net/manual/en/function.parse-ini-file.php) states that you can't use these chars {}|&~![()^" in the value. Is there some way to escape these chars? I need to use them. Normal escaping with \ doesn't seem to work.

It is working fine for small amout of data. but for large amout of data like 300 mb it is throwing out of memory exception.   hi i have problems in converting an XML document type into a Document object.. this is the piece of code line 1 : Document doc=null; line 2 : doc = (Document) parser.parse(sourceFile); for this line 2 it throws java classcast exception.. without the typecast it shows error as "Type mismatch: cannot convert from org.w3c.dom.Document to javax.swing.text.Document" how do i now typecast properly? any suggestions??

  What would be the best format to numerically represent a color in .NET so that I wouldn't have to use the Color object? Right now I am saving the color as a the HTML representation, but in order to use it I have to parse it out. I am dealing with a 800x600 canvas that stores a color value for each pixel and I need to be able to render the color out as quick as possible without bloating my application out to storing 500k+ color objects.
