  • [rails] user's account backup and restore

    Hi everyone, I am currently working on a project and i would like my users to be able to backup/restore theirs accounts. I am looking for a rails plugin/gem that would easily do that, ie : current_user.backup() = backup_file current_user.restore(backup_file) = database import/replace I don't know if my question is very clear, but i would like to backup every user's related object (posts, comments, etc) and to be able to restore them from a backup file.     I have a table row with 4 columns on my ecommerce site and I want to replace the content of 1st column if total amount in last column (TD class "total") is over 10 EUR. How can I do this with javascript only, I guess somehow to enumerate through the table rows and look for a correct row (one with the last column class as total) and then access the content of 1st column on this row but how?

  • Converting IPv4 or IPv6 address to a long for comparisons

    In order to check if an IPv4 or IPv6 address is within a certain range, I've got code that takes an IPv4 address, turns that into a long, then does that same conversion on the upper/lower bound of the subnet, then checks to see if the long is between those values.     I have a PHP MVC framework I've built from scratch which uses the traditional domain.com/controller/action URL routing. While I'm currently handling the below conversion in the router I'd like to replace them in the URL for cosmetic reasons. For example: controller/action?filter=bank Becomes: controller/action/filter/bank I've done a bit of experimentation with a regex but can't seem to find a match.     In the following Groovy snippet, I attempt to replace both the hashCode and toString methods String.metaClass.toString = {-> "override" } String.metaClass.hashCode = {-> 22 } But when I test it out, only the replacement of hashCode works String s = "foo" println s.hashCode() // prints 22 println s.toString() // prints "foo" Is toString somehow a special case (possibly for security reasons)?

    Hello, I am trying to get the code to list all the directories in a folder, change directory into that folder and get the name of the current folder. The code I have so far is below and isn't working at the minute.     I'm writing a jQuery plug-in so I can reuse this code in many places as it is a very well used piece of code, the code itself adds a new line to a table which has been cloned from a hidden row, it continues to perform a load of manipulations on the new row.     If I have a 32-bit binary number and I want to replace the lower 16-bit of the binary number with a 16-bit number that I have and keep the upper 16-bit of that number to produce a new binary number.. how can I do this using simple bitwise operator? For this I used: coll.Load(esQuerytype.storedprocedure, "testproc", param) At this point, Iam getting error as 'EntitySpaces.Core.esEntityCollection.Load(EntitySpaces.DynamicQuery.esQueryType, string, params object[])' is inaccessible due to its protection level esEntityCollection is a metadata file, so I could not change the access modifier there from protected to public.     arr = ["red","green","yellow"] arr2 = arr.clone arr2[0].replace("blue") puts arr.inspect puts arr2.inspect produces: ["blue", "green", "yellow"] ["blue", "green", "yellow"] Is there anyway to do a deep copy of an array of strings, other than using Marshal as i understand that is a hack. I could do: arr2 = [] arr.each do |e| arr2 << e.clone end but it doesn't seem very elegant, or efficient. Thanks
