  • How can I convert .eps files to .jpg in ASP.NET?

    - by Mike C
I am trying to convert uploaded .eps files to .jpg in my ASP.net application and I am having a hard time finding a .net library that will let me do this. I have tried using the ImageMagick libraries, but I don't have root access to the server in order to install the standard binaries, or run the command line executables. I have also tried the slightly modified project from CodeProject, but it was designed in VS2005 and I have VS2008 and 2010 and I think I run into some compatibility issues while trying to compile and execute the project. Is there a simpler solution available that just works natively in .NET? Thanks, Mike

  • Run command with space characters in bash script

    - by ??iu
    I have a file that contains a list of files: 02 of Clubs.eps 02 of Diamonds.eps 02 of Hearts.eps 02 of Spades.eps ... I am attempting to mass-convert these to png format in several sizes. The script I am using to do this is: while read -r line do for i in 80 35 200 do convert $(sed 's/ /\\ /g' <<< Cards/${line}) -size ${i}x${i} ../img/card/$(basename $(tr ' ' '_' <<< ${line} | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]') .eps)_${i}.png; done done < card_list.txt However, this doesn't work, apparently trying to split on each word, resulting in the following error output: convert: unable to open image `Cards/02\': No such file or directory @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2514. convert: no decode delegate for this image format `Cards/02\' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/532. convert: unable to open image `of\': No such file or directory @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2514. convert: no decode delegate for this image format `of\' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/532. convert: unable to open image `Clubs.eps': No such file or directory @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2514. If I change the convert to an echo the result looks right and if I copy a line and run it myself in the shell it works fine: convert Cards/02\ of\ Clubs.eps -size 80x80 ../img/card/02_of_clubs_80.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Clubs.eps -size 35x35 ../img/card/02_of_clubs_35.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Clubs.eps -size 200x200 ../img/card/02_of_clubs_200.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Diamonds.eps -size 80x80 ../img/card/02_of_diamonds_80.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Diamonds.eps -size 35x35 ../img/card/02_of_diamonds_35.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Diamonds.eps -size 200x200 ../img/card/02_of_diamonds_200.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Hearts.eps -size 80x80 ../img/card/02_of_hearts_80.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Hearts.eps -size 35x35 ../img/card/02_of_hearts_35.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Hearts.eps -size 200x200 ../img/card/02_of_hearts_200.png convert Cards/02\ of\ Spades.eps -size 80x80 ../img/card/02_of_spades_80.png UPDATE: Just adding quotes (see below) has the same result as the above, where I had been using sed to add backslashes convert '"'Cards/${line}'"' -size ${i}x${i} ../img/card/$(basename $(tr ' ' '_' <<< ${line} | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]') .eps)_${i}.png; I've tried both double and single quotes

  • What's the best way to convert a .eps (CMYK) to a .jpg (RGB) with Image Magick

    - by Slinky
Hi All, I have a bunch of .eps files (CMYK) that I need to convert to .jpg (RGB) files. The following command sometimes gives me under or over saturated .jpg images, when compared to the source EPS file: $cmd = "convert -density 300 -quality 100% -colorspace RGB ".$epsURL." -flatten -strip ".$convertedURL; Is there a smarter way to do this such that the converted image will have the same qualities as the source EPS file? • Vector graphics on iPhone

    - by burki
Hello! How you can use EPS files within your UIView. What do I have to do to display for example a EPS on the iPhone's screen? Do I need to convert it first to a PDF (if yes, how?)? Or are there any other way to bring vector graphics onto the iPhone? That would be very nice. Thanks.

  • How to Split a Big Postscript file (3000 pages) into one individual file per page (using Windows 7)?

    - by Pablo
Hi, I'm having trouble doing the following: I have a big PDF file that I converted to postscript (for commercial printing). The resulting file is too big to be processed by the printer (machine). I've been trying to find a way to either: Convert from the original (many pages) PDF file to many Postscript file (one postcript file per PDF page in original PDF file(. Convert from PDF to PS (or even EPS). - I managed to do this Then split the PS file into a collection of smaller files. I've tried using Ghostscript, but it is all gibberish to me. Thanks. PS. If you have a good GS tutorial (for dummies?), please share the link.

  • Error including image in Latex

    - by euphoria83
I am getting the following error while compiling my Latex File : ! LaTeX Error: Cannot determine size of graphic in tree.jpg (no BoundingBox). Why do I get this error ? What has this to do with an .eps file ? Infact, I could compile it fine with MacTex on my machine. But when I submit it online to a scientific journal for publication, it compiles it on the server and sends me the resultant PDF which as all these error that prevent it from compiling. I am using the following syntax for including the images : \begin{figure}[!h] \begin{center} \scalebox{0.45}{ \includegraphics{tree.jpg}} \end{center} \caption{\small A sample} \label{tree} \end{figure} What should I do ? Could it be that their server is using an old compiler ? UPDATE : It finally worked. I converted the first image to PDF and the compilation happened perfectly. I guess it used the bounding box value from that PDF and applied it to all images.

  • GhostScript noob help - Breaking a multipage PDF file into many single page PS or EPS files.

    - by godzilla_g
Hi, I'm trying to do the following with ghostscript: Turn one multipage PDF file (about 3,000 pages, 200mb file) into: One file per page of the PDF, and convert each (page/file) to EPS or PS (post script(preferably)). Example: hello.pdf (10 pages) would produce: hello1.ps (page 1 out of 10) hello2.ps hello3.ps ... hello10.ps How can I do this? I've been trying for 4 days, and can't figure it out. I have a script I've tried(won't work): Note: Windows(7) user here. gs -sDEVICE=epswrite -o documentname-%.eps documentname.pdf I also don't know how to navigate to the directory where my file resides (cannot figure that out, too). If you can, please show me how. A big thank you.

  • 2 "P4" power connectors *AND* an 8 pin EPS connector -- all necessary?

    - by chris
I recently bought an Arima SW350 motherboard. It supports 16 ddr simms as well as 2 opteron 2xx CPUs, so I imagine it may have pretty heavy power requirements... It has a 24 pin ATX power connector, 2 4 pin "P4" power connectors, and an 8 pin EPS power connector. My supermicro power supply has a 24 pin ATX connector and the EPS connector, and one P4 connector. Can I safely run this thing with only one P4 connector plugged in? Can I safely get a "hard disk to P4" adapter and use that to power the other P4 connector on the motherboard? Do I just need a new power supply? The board's documentation is pretty thin on the topic.

  • "pdf_open: Not a PDF 1.[1-5] file." when typesetting TeX file in TextMate

    - by Manti
I have a TeX file, which is typeset by XeLaTeX. The file has \includegraphics{coverimage.eps} on the first page, and coverimage.eps is located in the same directory as the TeX file. OS: MacOS 10.6.5, TextMate 1.5.10, xelatex 3.1415926-2.2-0.9997.4 (TeX Live 2010) If I run xelatex doc.tex in console, file compiles without errors, and eps file is included. If I typeset it in TextMate (xelatex engine is selected in preferences), I get the following error: ** WARNING ** pdf_open: Not a PDF 1.[1-5] file. ** WARNING ** Failed to include image file "./coverimage.eps" ** WARNING ** >> Please check if ** WARNING ** >> rungs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sPAPERSIZE=a0 -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dCompatibilityLevel=%v -dAutoFilterGrayImages=false -dGrayImageFilter=/FlateEncode -dAutoFilterColorImages=false -dColorImageFilter=/FlateEncode -sOutputFile=%o %i -c quit ** WARNING ** >> %o = output filename, %i = input filename, %b = input filename without suffix ** WARNING ** >> can really convert "./coverimage.eps" to PDF format image. ** WARNING ** pdf: image inclusion failed for "coverimage.eps". ** WARNING ** Failed to read image file: coverimage.eps ** WARNING ** Interpreting special command PSfile (ps:) failed. ** WARNING ** >> at page="1" position="(107.149, 124.566)" (in PDF) ** WARNING ** >> xxx "PSfile="coverimage.eps" llx=0 lly=0 urx=408 ury=526 rwi=3809 and there is no image included in the resulting file (but text looks ok). I am not sure whether it is the error of xelatex or TextMate LaTeX bundle. What I tried to do: As I said, xelatex doc.tex from console works. The exact command line that TextMate uses is: xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -file-line-error-style -synctex=1 But it works from console too. If I convert the image to pdf (and fix the .tex file accordingly), typesetting from TextMate works too. I tried running rungs with parameters specified in the error message, and got valid .pdf file with image as a result. I compared .log files from typesetting in TextMate and in console, they are absolutely identical except for this error message (in particular, version of xelatex is the same). Does anyone know what can cause this? Please tell me if you need any additional information. Thank you in advance.

Here's my code: var myData = myTable .Where(t => t.Comp.Equals("IBM") && Convert.Int32(string.Format("{0}{1}", t.Year, t.Quarter)) <= 20131); I get the following error when I tried that code: Method 'System.String Format(System.String, System.Object, System.Object)' has no supported translation to SQL How can I select all Eps that has a year & quarter less than "20132" using a lambda expression?

Where can I get PRINCE2 logo in eps vector graphics format, usable for printed materials business cards and marketing brochures. I know it's barely development connected, but it is a fact that PM metods and developer certification is a part of every developer life... like RSI ;) Please do not close this question.

  • boost::spirit::karma using the alternatives operator (|) with conditions

    - by Ingemar
I'm trying to generate a string from my own class called Value using boost::spirit::karma, but i got stuck with this. I've tried to extract my problem into a simple example. I want to generate a String with karma from instances of the following class: class Value { public: enum ValueType { BoolType, NumericType }; Value(bool b) : type_(BoolType), value_(b) {} Value(const double d) : type_(NumericType), value_(d) {}; ValueType type() { return type_; } operator bool() { return boost::get<bool>(value_); } operator double() { return boost::get<double>(value_); } private: ValueType type_; boost::variant<bool, double> value_; }; Here you can see what I'm tying to do: int main() { using karma::bool_; using karma::double_; using karma::rule; using karma::eps; std::string generated; std::back_insert_iterator<std::string> sink(generated); rule<std::back_insert_iterator<std::string>, Value()> value_rule = bool_ | double_; Value bool_value = Value(true); Value double_value = Value(5.0); karma::generate(sink, value_rule, bool_value); std::cout << generated << "\n"; generated.clear(); karma::generate(sink, value_rule, double_value); std::cout << generated << "\n"; return 0; } The first call to karma::generate() works fine because the value is a bool and the first generator in my rule also "consumes" a bool. But the second karma::generate() fails with boost::bad_get because karma tries to eat a bool and calls therefore Value::operator bool(). My next thought was to modify my generator rule and use the eps() generator together with a condition but here i got stuck: value_rule = (eps( ... ) << bool_) | (eps( ... ) << double_); I'm unable to fill the brackets of the eps generator with sth. like this (of course not working): eps(value.type() == BoolType) I've tried to get into boost::phoenix, but my brain seems not to be ready for things like this. Please help me! here is my full example (compiling but not working): main.cpp

  • Insert SVG directly into Microsoft Publisher without converting file format

    - by nhinkle
How can I insert an SVG image into a Microsoft Publisher 2010 document as a vector image without having to first convert it to a bitmap format like PNG? Copying and pasting an SVG file into a Publisher document does not work. I am aware that one can convert an SVG to EPS, and insert that, since Publisher accepts EPS files. The problem is that it is time consuming to convert, and often the colors come out wrong. If this is the only way to get vector graphics into Publisher, then is there a one-step method to convert an SVG to EPS and paste it into Publisher at one fell swoop?

  • Bluetooth not found on BCM43228

    - by TK Kocheran
I've got a Broadcom BCM43228 mPCIe card which came with my motherboard (ASUS ROG Maximus V Extreme, can't seem to find a link to what the card is) which is working great for WiFi right now, but I can't detect the Bluetooth hardware onboard. In Windows, I have full Bluetooth 4.0 support. $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family DRAM Controller (rev 09) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200/2nd Generation Core Processor Family PCI Express Root Port (rev 09) 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Panther Point USB xHCI Host Controller (rev 04) 00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation Panther Point MEI Controller #1 (rev 04) 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82579V Gigabit Network Connection (rev 04) 00:1a.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Panther Point USB Enhanced Host Controller #2 (rev 04) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Panther Point High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Panther Point PCI Express Root Port 1 (rev c4) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Panther Point PCI Express Root Port 5 (rev c4) 00:1c.6 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Panther Point PCI Express Root Port 7 (rev c4) 00:1c.7 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Panther Point PCI Express Root Port 8 (rev c4) 00:1d.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Panther Point USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 (rev 04) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Panther Point LPC Controller (rev 04) 00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Panther Point 6 port SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 04) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation Panther Point SMBus Controller (rev 04) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1189 (rev a1) 01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 0e0a (rev a1) 0d:00.0 USB controller: ASMedia Technology Inc.
