  • Code optimizer extension for Dreamweaver?

    - by Vercas
Due to my neat coding style, my pages take up like 30% more space on both my server and the output HTML. Is there any free extension for Dreamweaver to automatically optimize my pages when uploading them? I mean not only HTML, but also PHP, CSS and JS... Actually, removing unnecessary tabs, spaces and new lines will just do the trick. After removing the unnecessary spaces, tabs and new lines from my PHP code, the page loaded three times faster so this is important...

  • JavaScript-based applications and text browsers

    - by Vi
How to use complex AJAX applications with a lot of menus and with X.509 authentications in non-GUI mode with simple browsers? For example, I can login to Webmoney from console using links/lynx/link2 (but not w3m), entering captcha (using aaxine) and do operations there, but can't login not using X.509 certificate (even if I try to separate SSL part using "socat tcp-l:... openssl:...:443,cert=extracted_from_firefox.pem") Is there some program that behaves like fully-fledged browser (build DOM/execute JS/Support all features except of actually displaying things), but without GUI and dependencies on GUI libraries?

  • Login authentication vanished from MongoDB install

    - by Robert Oschler
A few months ago I enabled password protection on my MongoDB install. Today I ran the Mongo client and forgot to use my login details. Instead of rejecting nearly everything I try to do from the shell, like it should, I had complete access to all the databases and collections. Fortunately this instance is only running a few test apps, so I quickly shutdown the MongoD instance until I figure this out. Has anybody ever seen this kind of behavior before and knows what is going on? The MongoD instance is running on a Linux VM hosted by Azure. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps Azure restored an old copy of the VM, but I received no E-mails to that effect and everything else on the server seems to be proper, including new daemon processes that I added after I enabled password protection on MongoD.

  • Javascript on a desktop wallpaper (XP)

    - by Arcath
I have a desktop wallpaper shipped out by my domain, it's a HTML wallpaper that displays information like today's date, etc. It also has the internet usage rules. Using jquery I've made it so that the rules are hidden and displayed when you click on the section heading. The JS runs fine and it hides the rules, but it appears that once the desktop "loses focus" the javascript stops and clicking the headings does nothing. Anyone know a way to keep javascript running?

  • nginx rule to capture header and append value as query string

    - by John Schulze
I have an interesting problem I need to solve in nginx: one of the sites I'm building receives inbound traffic on port 80 (and only port 80) which may have a certain header set in the request. If this header is present I need to capture the value of it and append that as a querystring parameter before doing a temporary redirect (rewrite) to a different (secure) server, while passing the paramater and any other querystring params along. This should be very doable, but how!? Many thanks, JS

  • Can't re-open "Group My Tabs" page after killing Firefox

    - by isomorphismes
Due to memory problems I closed Firefox whilst the Group My Tabs (Ctrl+e) feature was displaying the multiple tab groups. After 20 minutes the process still hadn't finished so killall firefoxed it. When I restart Firefox, there is a Javascript process called tabview.js that hangs unless I click Stop at the warning screen. If I do hit Stop then I can no longer open the tabview, so I can't get to any of the tabs except in the subgroup I was last looking at. Any suggestions?

  • how to have publishing, blog and wiki features together?

    - by George2
Hello everyone, I am using SharePoint 2007 Enterprise + Publishing portal template + Windows Server 2008. I want to have blog and wiki features as well as publishing portal features. Any ideas how to integrate publishing portal, blog and wiki? For integrate, I mean using the same user name and password to pass through authentication of publishing portal, blog and wiki. And should I setup 3 different site collections for publishing portal, blog and wiki (I find if I setup publishing portal site collection, I can not create blog and wiki sub-site)? thanks in advance, George

  • Google Chrome and Firefox Rendering

    - by user13503
When attempting to visit sites running javascript, Google Chrome and Firefox often fail to render them properly. For example, when hitting google.com/codesearch results, I just get a blank page. http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/8527/200910071518.png This rendering problem happens in both browsers on a machine running Windows XP Professional x64. Internet explorer is able to render the page just fine. Also, controls on other pages sometimes fail to respond, for example in Google Docs. Has anyone encountered this issue before in Chrome/Firefox? Do they share a common installation of the V8 javascript engine? I'm baffled by this issue. Here's the source code for the image above that Chrome loads when attempting to retrieve the page: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"><html><head><script>function a(c){this.t={};this.tick=function(d,e,b){var f=b?b:(new Date).getTime();this.t[d]=[f,e]};this.tick("start",null,c)}var g=new a;window.jstiming={Timer:a,load:g};try{window.jstiming.pt=window.external.pageT}catch(h){}; </script><title></title><script language="javascript" src="/codesearch/js/CachedFile/F1A2CB189D0FCB1FF201C42BF6A5447C.cache.js"></script></head><body><iframe src="javascript:''" id="__gwt_historyFrame" style="width:0;height:0;border:0"></iframe><script>if(window.jstiming){window.jstiming.a={};window.jstiming.c=1;function k(a,d,f){var b=a.t[d];if(!b)return undefined;b=a.t[d][0];if(f!=undefined)var h=f;else h=a.t.start[0];return b-h}window.jstiming.report=function(a,d,f){var b="";if(window.jstiming.pt){b+="&srt="+window.jstiming.pt;delete window.jstiming.pt}try{if(window.external&&window.external.tran)b+="&tran="+window.external.tran}catch(h){}if(a.b)b+="&"+a.b;var e=a.t,p=e.start,l=[],i=[];for(var c in e)if(!(c=="start"))if(!(c.indexOf("_")==0)){var j= e[c][1];if(j)e[j]&&i.push(c+"."+k(a,c,e[j][0]));else p&&l.push(c+"."+k(a,c))}delete e.start;if(d)for(var m in d)b+="&"+m+"="+d[m];var n=[f?f:"http://csi.gstatic.com/csi","?v=3","&s="+(window.jstiming.sn?window.jstiming.sn:"codesearch")+"&action=",a.name,i.length?"&it="+i.join(",")+b:b,"&rt=",l.join(",")].join(""),g=new Image,o=window.jstiming.c++;window.jstiming.a[o]=g;g.onload=g.onerror=function(){delete window.jstiming.a[o]};g.src=n;g=null;return n}}; </script></body></html> Thanks, Steve

  • Changing Admin Site URL (actually port) - how?

    - by TomTom
I have a new install of the band new SharePoint 2010. I use host header identified site collections for everything. By default the admin site is on a random port. I would like to move the admin site to port 80, for the server name. As all sites have coded names (for example "intranet", "projects") this would allow administration via the server name - which is easier as external access does not have to remember the port number. How do I do this? I already changed the default URL, but the site (application) is still wrongly mapped. I dont find anything to change the IIS settings in the admin site. I possibly just miss it - so can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • App to slice'n'dice video, specifically remove chunks, on a Mac?

    - by Phillip Oldham
I have a couple of collections of DVD Box-Sets I've ripped to my mac. Now I'd like to sweeten the viewing experience by removing the title sequences and credits so that viewing doesn't mean I have to keep reaching for the remote to skip 30 seconds of annoying music (think watching multiple episodes of Family Guy). If I can find an app that will let me do this reasonably quickly manually that would be great, but it would be perfect if I could dump a load of commands into a file and have everything trimmed while the mac is "inactive". I'm thinking that if I can specify chunks of time to remove from the original file that would be perfect. I had a quick look at importing into iMovie to do it manually and gave up at the "Processing Thumbnails" stage as it said it would be a couple of hours to produce them for a 45min mp4 file, which I can understand at 25fps but I'm not willing to wait, especially when I've got over a week's worth of files. Any suggestions?

  • How would I template an SLS using saltstack

    - by user180041
I'm trying to do proof of concept with Mongodb(sharding) and Id like to run a command every time I spin up a new cluster without having to add lines in all my sls files. My current init is as follows: mongo Replica4:27000 /usr/lib/mongo/init_addshard.js: cmd: - run - user: present The word Replica4 is not templated id like to know a way I would be able to do so, that way when I spin up a new cluster I wouldn't have to touch anything in this file.

  • Production grade caching times?

    - by Kyle

  • How do I unlink a file-folder relationship?

    - by Ovesh
When asking IE to save an HTML page locally, with the option "Web page, complete", an html file is created along with a folder that contains all associated files (images, js, css etc). An association is created between the html file and the folder, so that when the file is deleted/moved, so is the folder. First, I'd like to know what this kind of association is called. Further, I'd like to know how to "unlink" this file-folder association.

  • SharePoint 2010 MySites - Host on separate servers

    - by Chris W
We're playing with the SP 2010 Beta ahead of a planned deployment later this year in an academic environment. We anticipate that the majority of traffic will be through MySites when everything is provisioned so we're looking at how we can plan our SP topology to scale nicely. An initial thought is to run the main portal on one server, host "Student" MySites on one server and "Staff" on another. Is it acutally possible to do this easily or are we going down a bad path? Specifically - can we have 2 different MySites site collections, each hosted on a dedicated server? If so, can we configure SharePoint to work out from the users's logon account type of user they are and route them to the correct server?

  • Backup Solr home

    - by user226188
I'm new to Solr: I've successfully installed Tomcat and Solr 4.3.1 webapp, and two collections on a CentOS 6.4 machine. Now, my server is in production and I need to make backups of solr. So, I would like to know what is the best way to backup solr... For the moment I'm dooing: stop tomcat = tar of my solr home = start tomcat, but I've read that is not a good solution? Moreover, this implie to stop all the tomcat which have other webapps than solr. I've also heard that there is a script named "backup" in solr home bin's folder ? but my bin folder is empty :( I don't want to make an another slave server with replication, for me it's not a backup solution because my backup are supposed to be send to a bacula backup server all nights. There is no builtin solution that I can work around to make a script ? like a mysqldump for Mysql servers. Thanks for help !

  • What is OpenSVC?

    - by sh-beta
OpenSVC was just ported to the FreeBSD platform. The little blurb in that announcement intrigued me so I went to the OpenSVC website and found this: OpenSVC is a 'service' manager, as in clustered service manager, designed for real-world heterogeneous datacenters and large-scale operations orchestrator (disaster recovery, for example). Services are collections of resources (virtual machine, ip, disk groups, filesystems, file synchronizations, and application launchers). Services can be started, stopped and queried for status, providing a consistent command set for wildly different service integration types. Service configurations, status and logs are pushed to a central database coupled to a web front-end (collector). Services can be administered using the stand-alone GPLv2 software stack deployed on the nodes (nodeware), or through the web-front end. Plus some UML-type graphics. Which is all neat, but I still don't understand: what does it do? Am I just being dense? What's the use case for this system?

  • How do I securely buy a domain from a private party?

    - by Matt
I have a domain I want. I found the owners contact information, and negotiated a price. Is there a domain brokerage service out there that would help me with the exchange. I don't want to send off money, and never hear from him again, and I'm sure it's likewise. I've found a lot of sites that carry collections of domains for sale, but I've already found mine, and contacted the owner. I just want a service to facilitate the hand-off. Has anyone used a service like this that they could recommend?

  • Why is my htaccess file preventing access to my MP3 file?

    - by Andrew
My Zend Framework application has a public directory which contains an htaccess file. If the file isn't found in the public directory, it routes the request through the application. I have an MP3 file within my public directory, but the htaccess file is routing the request through the application! Do you see anything wrong with my htaccess file? • Running Fedora 8, never upgraded. How to do so?

    - by TreyK
Hey all, I'm a student working on a website for my robotics team. I've recently decided to experiment with a node.js/CouchDB setup instead of our current LAMP configuration. While trying to install these systems, I was appalled to discover that our current version of Fedora (version 8) is almost two years past EOL. If I were to upgrade our server, what version of Fedora should I install, and how should I do this? Thanks, -Trey

  • Cookieless domain alternative

    - by user63220
I have only one folder that would benefit from a cookieless state, therefore setting up a whole subdomain for that seems a bit overkill for now, so I was wondering if deleting the cookie using mod_header in that specific folder would be enough or if it truly requires a different subdomain/domain ? For example, a .htaccess containing this in the /js subfolder of a webapp ? Header unset Set-Cookie
