Any chance of a bit of coding genius here?

• django, mod_wsgi, MySQL High CPU - Problems

  I am having a problem with an OSQA site. It is Django/Apache/mod_wsgi configured site. Every hour, the CPU spikes to 164% (Average) for task HTTPD. After 10 minutes, it frees back up. I have reviewed the logs, cron tables, made many config changes, but cannot track this problem down. Can someone please look at the information below and let me know if it is a configuration problem, or if anyone else has experienced this issue. Running TOP shows HTTPD using 165% of CPU VMware performance monitor also displays spikes. This happens every hour for 10 minutes.   Hello, i am having image hotlink protection problem in my nginx need help. i have a huge issue of my site's images being submited to social networks like stumbleupon with direct link ... xxxxx.jpg which some times get huge traffic and increases cpu usage plus bandwidth usage. what i am trying to do is block direct access to image from other refrers and hotlink protection. • Internet Explorer 8 Standards Mode Results In Broken Blank Page

  I'm running into a weird issue that I'm struggling to figure out what's causing the page to break. I have an internal website that's still under development (thus no link to the page) that works great in Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 in IE 7 Standards mode. But when I force it to IE 8 Standards mode the page will only display the title text in the browser tab and an otherwise completely blank page. It seems so broken that the blank page doesn't even have a context menu. I've run the CSS and the HTML through the W3C validators and both have come back as completely valid. I'm trying the arduous task of removing/re-adding elements until it displays, but any insight into what could cause this would help. EDIT: it appears to be something related to the DotLess stylesheet. The resulting CSS is valid according to the W3C CSS validator. EDIT 2: Digging further, and making use of IE's Developer Tools to control the styles, it appears that IE is reading a single statement twice even though it only occurs once in the output. I don't know what's causing that as it's only appearing once in the output stream. Here's an image of it too: EDIT 3: It appears that even though it duplicates that particular selector, if I change the font-size to a whole number like 61% instead of the current 60.95% (that specific to defaultly match the existing desktop app as closely as possible) it works fine. So something specific to IE duplicating that selector block and the font-size being a percentage specific to two decimal places appears to kill IE8 Standards mode completely.

• JSF tags not being rendered as HTML

  I'm following the Java EE firstcup tutorial using Netbeans and Glassfish. When I execute the JSF web tier I've been instructed to code, the browser gets the same JSF markup coded in the .xhtml file, and the tags are not rendered as HTML tags. I know this by using the view source code in my browser. Well, my browser is getting jsf code (the first piece of code above) and not the html code (the second piece of code above). • Taking advantage of Windows Azure CDN and Dynamic Pages in ASP.NET - Caching content from hosted services

  With the updates to Windows Azure CDN announced this week [1] I wanted to help illustrate the capability with a working sample that will serve up dynamic content from an ASP.NET site hosted in a WebRole. First, to get a good overview of the capability you can read the Overview of the Windows Azure CDN [2] content on MSDN. When you setup the ability to cache content from a hosted service, the requirement is to provide a path to your role’s DNS endpoint that ends in the path “/cdn”.  Additionally, you then map CDN to that service. What WAZ CDN does, is allow you to then map that through the CDN to your host.  The CDN will then make a request to your host on your client’s behalf. The requirement is still that your client, and any Url’s that are to be serviced through the CDN and this capability have to use the CDN DNS name and not your host – no different than what CDN does for Blog storage. The following 2 URL’s are samples of how the client needs to issue the requests. Windows Azure hosted service URL: http: //myHostedService.cloudapp.net/cdn/music.aspx   - for regular “dynamic” content Windows Azure CDN URL: http: //<identifier>.vo.msecnd.net/music.aspx   - for CDN “cachable” content. The first URL path’s the request direct to your host into the Azure datacenter.  The 2nd URL paths the request through the CDN infrastructure, where CDN will make the determination to request the content on behalf of the client to the Azure datacenter and your host on the /cdn path. The big advantage here is you can apply logic to your content creation.  What’s important is emitting the CDN friendly headers that allow CDN to request and re-request only when you designate based upon it’s rules of “staleness” as described in the overview page. With IIS7.5 there is an underlying issue when the Managed Module “OutputCache” is enabled that in order to emit a good header for your content, you’ll need to remove, and in my sample, helps provide CDN friendly headers.  You get IIS 7.5 when running under OS Family “2” in your service configuration. By default, and when the OutputCache managed module is loaded, if you use the HttpResponse.CachePolicy to set the Http Headers for “max-age” when the HttpCacheability is “Public”, you will NOT get the “max-age” emitted as part of the “Cache-control:” header.  Instead, the OutputCache module will remove “max-age” and just emit “public”.  It works ok when Cacheability is set to “private”. To work around the issue and ensure your code as follows emits the full max-age along with the public option, you need to remove as follows: <system.webServer>   <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">     <remove name="OutputCache"/>   </modules> </system.webServer>   Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.Public); Response.Cache.SetMaxAge(TimeSpan.FromMinutes(rv));   In the attached solution, the way I approached it was to have a VirtualApplication under the root site that has it’s own web.config  - this VirtualApplication is the /cdn of the site and when deployed to Azure as a Web Role will surface as a distinct IIS Application – along with a separate AppDomain. The CDN Sample is a simple Web Forms site that the /default landing page contains 3 IFrames to host: 1. Content direct from the host @   http://xxxx.cloudapp.net/cdn 2. Content via the CDN @ http://azxxx.vo.msecnd.net  3. Simple list of recent requests – showing where the request came from.   When you run the sample the first time you hit the page, both the Host and the CDN will cause 2 initial requests to hit the host.  You won’t see the first requests in the list because of timing – but if you refresh, you’ll see that the list will show that you have 2 requests initially. 1. sourced direct from the Browser to the HOST 2. sourced via the CDN The picture above shows the call-outs of each of those requests – green rows showing requests coming direct to the HOST, yellow showing the CDN request.  The IP addresses of the green items are direct from the client, where the CDN is from the CDN data center. As you refresh the page (hit Ctrl+F5 to force a full refresh and avoid “304 – not changed”) you’ll see that the request to the HOST get’s processed direct; but the request to the CDN endpoint is serviced direct from the CDN and doesn’t incur any additional request back to the HOST.   My /boot is at 100%. When I run aptitude search ~ilinux-image I'm getting loads of unused images. When I try to delete one of them (after checking which one is currently in use by doing uname -r), e.g apt-get autoremove linux-image-3.2.0-44-generic I get: Reading package lists...   This might be considered a continuation of this question. If I output HTML after my 404 header, It displays properly in IE and FF unless the user has Google bar instaled. If I try header('HTTP/1.x 404 Not Found'); header("Location: http://www.example.com/?content=404_error"); die(); then I'm getting 302 from the redirect. It seems to overrule the 404 Supposedly if your output is larger than 512 bytes, the toolbar isn't supposed to override the page, but It seems to do it anyway. I found a setting in Google's Toolbar that said "Provide suggestions on navigation errors". Turning that off provides me with the behaviour I want my visitors to experience. Does anyone know if Google provides a way for a developer to over-ride that setting for all visitors?

  I'm using two bindings TCP and HTTP. I want to give mex data on both bindings. What I want is that the mexHttpBinding only exposes the HTTP services while the mexTcpBinding exposes TCP services only. Or is this possible that I access stats service only from HTTP binding and the eventLogging service from TCP? For Example: For TCP I should only have net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC/mex net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC/eventLogging For HTTP http://localhost:9002/ABC/stats http://localhost:9002/ABC/mex When I connect with any of the base address (using the WCF Test Client) I'm able to access all the services? Like when I connect with net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC I'm able to use the services which are offered on the HTTP binding.   I am trying dynamically to append an <svg> element within an existing SVG island on an XHTML page (Firefox 3.6.3).
