  • Actionscript 2.0 Functions problem and somewhat "global" variable

    I have two problems. The first problem is with the following functions; when I call the function in (enterFrame), it doesn't work: onClipEvent (load) { function failwhale(levelNum) { _root.gotoAndStop("fail"); failFrom = levelNum; } function guardSightCollision(guardName, guardSightName) { if (_root.guardName.guardSightName.hitTest(_x, _y+radius, true)) { failwhale(1); } if (_root.guardName.guardSightName.hitTest(_x, _y-radius, true)) { failwhale(1); } if (_root.guardName.guardSightName.hitTest(_x-radius, _y, true)) { failwhale(1); } if (_root.guardName.guardSightName.hitTest(_x+radius, _y, true)) { failwhale(1); } } } onClipEvent (enterFrame) { guardSightCollision(guard1, guard1Sight); } Why doesn't it work?... The second problem lies in the failFrom variable: function failwhale(levelNum) { _root.gotoAndStop("fail"); failFrom = levelNum; } How do I make failFrom a "global" variable in that it can be accessed anywhere (from actionscript in frames and even movieclips)...Right now, when I try to trace failFrom in a different frame, it is "undefined".

  • XSD.exe question about include files and code generation

    If you have an XSD with an includes reference. Is it possible to generate 2 separate class files. 1 for the XSD, and 1 for the included XSD? My Scenario 4 XSDs, each of which share 15-20 element definitions in common. Rather than maintaining, I'd like to end up with the 4 XSDs all referencing a fifth file with the common definitions, and code generating 5 .cs files to use.

  • R data frame select by global variable

    I'm not sure how to do this without getting an error. Here is a simplified example of my problem. Say I have this data frame DF a b c d 1 2 3 4 2 3 4 5 3 4 5 6 Then I have a variable x <- min(c(1,2,3)) Now I want do do the following y <- DF[a == x] But when I try to refer to some variable like "x" I get an error because R is looking for a column "x" in my data frame. I get the "undefined columns selected" error How can I do what I am trying to do in R?

    Hello, I have divised a page with a TabContainer. Before, this page worked with a CascadingDropDown that populate a DropDownList. Now this DropDownList is in another tab. So I catch an exception "Object Reference Null" when I try to see this page. How did runs to load a DropDownList in another Tab when I change a value in a different Tab ? Thank you.

    I have a JQuery function as followss: (function($){ $.fn.autoSuggest = function(data, options) { function add_selected_item(data, num){ (function($){ $.fn.autoSuggest = function(data, options) { alert(data); } }); } }); If I wanted to call the local add_selected_item() function from outside this function, how would I do it? I've tried doing: $.autoSuggest.add_selected_item(data, opt); But am getting an $.autoSuggest is undefined. Still learning the ropes with JQUery. I am not sure exactly how this can be accomplished, if at all. Thanks!

    Say I have a web component that uses jQuery and I want to distribute it as a packaged component. I need a way to ensure that the jQuery library is available on or after the page loads, but I also want to check that the containing html page, or another unknown component that may reference jQuery hasn't already added the library to the page. But from the semantic point of protected internal" sounds to me like both protected and internal which means the member will accessible only to those derived classes with in the same assembly. Like if I want to call the url method of view on my controller I can call it like this $this->view->url(array(),''); and on the view we just can call it by $this->url(array(),''); But When I tried to call the same method on my model by $this->view->url(array(),''); it generates an error of call to undefined method url.     I would need to connect to Oracle DB in my PHP codes. I'm using Windows Server 2012, IIS 8 with PHP Manager. I opened IIS PHP Manager, then go to PHP Extensions, then I enabled "php_oci8.dll" extension. However when I tried to connect to Oracle DB I'm getting the following PHP error: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function oci_connect() I just restarted the IIS using the IIS Manager, but didn't done computer reboot. Do I need to reboot? Do I also need to download "instantclient-basic-windows.x64-12.1.0.1.0.zip"? If yes, do I just need to set it to classpath "Path" where I extracted?     I've spent almost a week on this now, trying to get FFmpeg "Angel" to build for Android. I've tried build scripts from all over the internet to no avail. I got closest was using this. A sthe author himself says the script doesn't work for newer versions of FFmpeg due to this bug, which has been dismissed on that ticket saying "I found a Makefile that does it." This was dis-heartening, being the only post on all of the cast Google world that was anywhere close to my problem. So, question time: Is there a way to get around the above bug? I'm trying to use the newest ffmpeg API, and "Love" is just giving me "undefined reference" errors while trying to use av_encode_video2(), and av_free_frame(). The code I was working on the lines of is at the ffmpeg git repo, under /doc/examples/decoding_encoding.c (the function starting on line 338)
