  I want to write an update query in MS Access 2003. I have a field called product_code. If product code is (between 110 and 752) OR (between 910 and 1124), I want to update product code=15. If product code is (between 1210 and 1213) OR (1310 and 1423) I want to assign product code=16. If product code is some other value I will assign 18, and so on I don't think I can use CASE statement for this since I have many values to be updated. I tried to use multiple UPDATE/SET statements but it didn't work.

  I have a table with 2 columns (see below). A member can have multiple responses to a question RESPONSES --------- member_id INT response_id INT SAMPLE DATA member_id -- response_id 1 -- 3 1 -- 5 2 -- 1 2 -- 5 2 -- 9 3 -- 1 3 -- 5 3 -- 6 What I need to do is query the table for member that meet ALL response criteria. For example I need to select all members that have a response_id of 1 AND 5. I am using the following query: SELECT DISTINCT member_id FROM responses WHERE response_id = 1 AND response_id = 5. I would expect to get back member_id's 2,3. However I am getting nothing returned. I used EXPLAIN and it shows there is an error in my where query. What am I doing wrong? Also, is there a function similar to IN where all the criteria must be met in order to return true? Thanks for your help.

  I have a table that holds user information. One of the columns holds the position of the user in the game they are in. When a game is being created, I need to update the positions of the users of each team. Here is an example: Game id : 7 Team 1 users : 1,2 Team 2 users : 3,4 team1_position : array(1,2) team2_position : array(13,14) What I want to do is update the user table using the array of positions in the SET area. My goal is to be able to update the users without the need for their id (I have different size game boards, so I have multiple position arrays for each board size) How can I do something like this: UPDATE user SET position='(team1_position)' WHERE game = '7' AND team = '1' I feel like it would be a waste of resources to select all the id's of each team and update them separately.

  I have a select menu that displays countries. It looks at the DB and judging by the value in the db shows the option as selected. Is there any other way of doing this? I'm thinking of the following, but the current setup is really the most convenient one since I also have to use the data on the client side: store the product details in a file. So something like ASIN123.json store the product details in one big file. (I'm guessing it will be a drag to extract data from this file) store each of the fields in the details in its own table field Thanks in advance!

  I want to write a module (framework specific), that would wrap and extend Facebook PHP-sdk (https://github.com/facebook/php-sdk/). My problem is - how to organize classes, in a nice way. So getting into details - Facebook PHP-sdk consists of two classes: BaseFacebook - abstract class with all the stuff sdk does Facebook - extends BaseFacebook, and implements parent abstract persistance-related methods with default session usage Now I have some functionality to add: Facebook class substitution, integrated with framework session class shorthand methods, that run api calls, I use mostly (through BaseFacebook::api()), authorization methods, so i don't have to rewrite this logic every time, configuration, sucked up from framework classes, insted of passed as params caching, integrated with framework cache module I know something has gone very wrong, because I have too much inheritance that doesn't look very normal.Wrapping everything in one "complex extension" class also seems too much. I think I should have few working togheter classes - but i get into problems like: if cache class doesn't really extend and override BaseFacebook::api() method - shorthand and authentication classes won't be able to use the caching. Maybe some kind of a pattern would be right in here? How would you organize these classes and their dependencies? New instance of Facebook_Cache gives me all the functionality. Shorthand methods from Facebook_Custom use caching, because Facebook_Cache overwrited api() method. But here is what is bothering me: I think it's too much inheritance. It's all very tight coupled - like look how i had to specify 'Facebook_Custom::api' instead of 'parent:api', to avoid api() method loop on Facebook_Cache class extending. Overall mess and ugliness. So again, this works but I'm just asking about patterns / ways of doing this in a cleaner and smarter way.

Granted, the objects are different but neither of them contain the key @"type" and they both should throw errors, yet the Osirix code Tests for both conditions: if ([[item valueForKey:@"type"] isEqualToString:@"Series"]) { ... } if ([[item valueForKey:@"type"] isEqualToString:@"Study"]) { ... } And throws no errors. Yet when I load an NSManagedObject of the same exact model and entity @"Series" it throws the 'no key value' when passed into the conditions above. Am I missing something? Both the superentity and subentities of itemSeries and itemStudy are nil so they don't inherit from something that has KVC @"type". I'm totally at a loss as to explain what is going on. --- EDIT --- I know no one can explain what is going on... but maybe where to start looking?   I have an C# form application that use an access database. This application works perfectly in debug and release. It works on all version of Windows. But it crash on one computer with Windows 7. The message I got is: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No value given for one or more required parameters. EDIT, after some debugging with messagebox on the computer that have the problem, here is the code that bug.The error is catched on the cmd.ExecuteReader(). The messagebox juste before is shown and the next one is the one in the catch with the exception below. • How to get the value of an item from database and set it as the spinner value

  I have a database and the database populates a listview. when i long press a list item from the listview i get a context menu where i have the option to edit. When the edit option is clicked i open an activity and get all the values of the respective fields from the database. Now, here I want to get a value from the database and show it in the spinner. the spinner already has these values and is getting populated from the database... Expected result: EventSource opens a stream connection to the server, the server keeps it open for a safe time (say, 2 minutes) so that I am protected from thread leaking from dead clients, as new message events are received by the server (and enqueued to a thread safe collection such as BlockingCollection) they are pushed in the open stream to the client: message 1 received at T+0ms, pushed to the client at T+x message 2 received at T+200ms, pushed to the client at T+x+200ms Actual behaviour: EventSource opens a stream connection to the server, the server keeps it open until a message event arrives (thanks to long polling) once a message is received, MVC pushes the message and closes the connection. EventSource has to reopen the connection and this happens after a couple of seconds. message 1 received at T+0ms, pushed to the client at T+x message 2 received at T+200ms, pushed to the client at T+x+3200ms This is not OK as it defeats the purpose of using SSE as the clients start again reconnecting as in normal polling and message delivery gets delayed. Now, the question: is there a native way to keep the connection open after sending the first message and sending further messages on the same connection?

• Eclipse w/ ADT, Save Failed Illegal Value -1

  I'm trying to save and run my android project in eclipse, but every time I do, I get a pop up with the following message/error: Save Failed, Illegal Value -1. I'm not sure why i'm getting this error; I did just make some changes but none of them were extreme or major and it was working just a bit ago. The worst part is that i'm not receiving any kind of pointer, console or logcat, towards what is causing it. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what can I do? Thanks in advance!
