• Is it possible to retrieve the DataRowIndex of the in RowDataBound Event of GridView

  Hi All, Is it possible to retrieve the DataRowIndex of the binding datarow from its parent DataTable. I would use it to point again back to the datatable when i perform a delete operation. I can't use the DataItemIndex of GridView since the rows with RowState=Deleted still exists., so it won't point to the correct row of datatable.

  I want to set the alternate background color for rows in a table - but the twist is that I don't want every other row to be colored, I want to treat them in blocks of three rows. So for a table with eight rows I want the first three to be white, then the next three to have a background color, and the last two are back to white again. How can I do this using jQuery?

  HOWEVER! would setting the $link to my database be one thing that I prolly should use a GLOBAL scope for? In my setting of (lots of functions)...it seems as though having only one variable that is on the global scope would be wise. There's SortedList which is good for a single value (frequency), but I want to map it back to the word. SortedDictionary orders by key, not value. Some resort to a custom class, but what's the cleanest way?

  I have an ASP.NET checkbox, and I want to run some javascript before it posts back. Something like: <asp:CheckBox ID="chkSelected" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True" OnCheckedChanged="chkSelected_CheckedChanged" /> but I want to run a JS confirm dialog when the user click it, and if they were UNCHECKING it, I'd like to ask them if they're sure, and if so, postback and run my serverside code. If they say No, don't postback at all. Anyone know of an 'easy' way to do this?

  Hi, I'm trying to develop an online application where the user writes some text and the software sings it back to the user. I can currently generate the audio file with the words spoken by the computer using espeak, but I have no idea how to make it sound like a song, how to add rhythm to it. I'm able to change the pitch and tempo using rubberband, but that's as far as I've gotten. Does anyone have a clue how to make this happen?

• Why am I getting tree conflicts in subversion?

  I had a feature branch of my trunk and was merging changes from my trunk into my branch periodically and everything was working fine. Today I went to merge the branch back down into the trunk and any of the files that were added to my trunk after the creation of my branch were flagged as a "tree conflict". Is there any way to avoid this in the future? I don't think these are being properly flagged. Thanks.

• Why would I want to use server-side JavaScript?

  I'm confused, I regularly read talk of server-side JS, why would I want to use that? It seems like it would execute way slower than pretty much any other language, it also lacks many conventions that more sophisticated languages have. Is it possible to hand entire objects from the client to the server, manipulate them and return them back? Just struggling to understand the concepts of it.

• How to start/stop CrossSlide (jQuery)

  I found that CrossSlide causes video playback on the same page to stutter quite badly. My thought was to have the cross slide effect on the same page stop or pause during video play back, annd then start again when video stops. I'm trying to design a WCF system that can accomplish this using a centralized service talking to a service of some kind installed on each client. I have a pointer: data = malloc(humungous_amounts_of_god_knows_what); uint8_t* data; How do I package this up as an NSData instance and return it to the main thread?   I am trying to write a macro which calls cscope-find-functions-calling-this-function on each and every tag in a file displayed in the *Tags List* buffer (created by list-tags command). This should create a buffer which contains list of all functions calling a set of functions defined in a certain file. This is the sequence of keystrokes: 1. <f11> ;; cscope-find-functions-calling-this-function 2. RET ;; newline [shows results of cscope in a split window] 3. C-x C-p ;; mark-page 4. C-x C-x ;; icicle-exchange-point-and-mark 5. <up> ;; previous-line 6. <end> ;; end-of-line [region to copy has been marked] 7. <f7> ;; append-results-to-buffer 8. C-x ESC O ;; [move back to split window on the right] 9. C-x b ;; icicle-buffer [Switch back to *Tags List* buffer] 10. *Tags ;; self-insert-command * 5 11. SPC ;; self-insert-command 12. List* ;; self-insert-command * 5 13. RET ;; newline 14 . <down> ;; next-line [Position point on next tag in the list] Problem: I get no results in the buffer, and I found out that's because Step 3-7 execute even before cscope prints the results of query made on Steps 1-2. I can insert a pause in the macro by using C-x q, but I'd rather like the macro to wait after Step 2, until cscope has returned with the results and only then continue further. I suspect this is not possible through a macro, maybe a LISP function... I'm not a lisp expert myself. Can someone please help? Thanks! Details: I have Icicles installed so by default I get word at point in current buffer as input in minibuffer. F11 is bound to cscope-find-functions-calling-this-function windmove is installed and C-x (C-x ESC o - as shown below) takes you to the right window. F7 is bound to append-results-to-buffer which is defined as: (defun append-results-to-buffer () (interactive) (append-to-buffer (get-buffer-create "c1") (point) (mark))) This function just appends the currently marked region to a buffer named "c1".
