  • Get the UIWindow which is under the UIActionSheet

    - by Georgi
I am trying to present a new UIViewController on top of the current current UIViewController. Here is the line of code that creates the desired effect: LoginViewController *loginViewController = [[LoginViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"LoginViewController" bundle:nil]; UIViewController *rootController = [[[UIApplication sharedApplication] keyWindow] rootViewController]; [rootController presentViewController:loginViewController animated:YES completion:nil]; The problem is that I added an UIActionSheet which asks the user to confirm the desired action (which is to log out). When the user confirms the action I run the above mentioned peace of code, but the UIActionSheet is still the keyWindow. Therefore the LoginViewController is not presented on top (the rootController is null when I try to debug). My question is: Can I somehow find the UIWindow which is under the UIActionSheet and from there get the root controller,or maybe I can dismiss programmatically the UIActionSheet when the users selects the log out action and only then execute the above code? Thank you in advance!

  • Problems with mod_Rewrite

    - by Giorgi
Hello, Originally I had following .htaccess file: php_value display_errors 1 php_value error_reporting 7 AddDefaultCharset utf-8 Options -Indexes <Files ~ ".*\.(info|tpl)$"> Order allow, deny Deny from all </Files> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L,QSA] Which triggered 500 internal server error, so I moved first two lines to the php.ini file. after that, error disappeared, but redirect is not working, it simply redirects to the empty page, error log shows: file not found also, another log shows: PHP Warning: Unknown: open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp/:/usr/local/:/usr/bin) in Unknown on line 0 I tried to write in RewriteLog which triggered 500 server error again A little help? • Trouble on setting SSL certificates for Virtual Hosts using Apache\Phusion Passenger in localhost

    - by user502052
I am using Ruby on Rails 3 and I would like to make to work HTTPS connections on localhost. I am using: Apache v2 + Phusion Passenger Mac OS + Snow Leopard v10.6.6 My Ruby on Rails installation use the Typhoeus gem (it is possible to use the Ruby net\http library but the result doesn't change) to make HTTP requests over HTTPS. I created self-signed ca.key, pjtname.crt and pjtname.key as detailed on the Apple website. Notice: Following instruction from the Apple website, on running the openssl req -new -key server.key -out server.csr command (see the link) at this point Common Name (eg, YOUR name) []: (this is the important one) I entered *pjtname.com so that is valid for all sub_domain of that site. In my Apache httpd.conf I have two virtual hosts configured in this way: # Secure (SSL/TLS) connections #Include /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-ssl.conf # # Note: The following must must be present to support # starting without SSL on platforms with no /dev/random equivalent # but a statically compiled-in mod_ssl. # <IfModule ssl_module> SSLRandomSeed startup builtin SSLRandomSeed connect builtin </IfModule> Include /private/etc/apache2/other/*.conf # Passenger configuration LoadModule passenger_module /Users/<my_user_name>/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.2-p136/gems/passenger-3.0.2/ext/apache2/mod_passenger.so PassengerRoot /Users/<my_user_name>/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.2-p136/gems/passenger-3.0.2 PassengerRuby /Users/<my_user_name>/.rvm/wrappers/ruby-1.9.2-p136/ruby # Go ahead and accept connections for these vhosts # from non-SNI clients SSLStrictSNIVHostCheck off # Ensure that Apache listens on port 443 Listen 443 # Listen for virtual host requests on all IP addresses NameVirtualHost *:80 NameVirtualHost *:443 # # PJTNAME.COM and subdomains SETTING # <VirtualHost *:443> # Because this virtual host is defined first, it will # be used as the default if the hostname is not received # in the SSL handshake, e.g. if the browser doesn't support # SNI. All this means that something is wrong. So, what I have to do to avoid the "Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates" warning and make the HTTPS request to work? Where is\are the error\errors (I think in the Apache configuration, but where?!)? P.S.: if you need some more info, let me know.

  • How can I extract a value from comma separated values in Perl?

    - by Octopus
I have a log file containing statistics from different servers. I am separating the statistics from this log file using regex only. I am trying to capture the CPU usage from the running process. For SunOS, I have below output: process,10050,user1,218,59,0,1271M,1260M,sleep,58.9H,0.02%,java Here the CPU % is at 11th field if we separate by commas (,). To get this value I am using below regex: regex => q/^process,(?:.*?),((?:\d+)\.(?:\d+))%,java$/, For the linux system I have below output: process,26190,user1,20,0,1236m,43m,6436,S,0.0,1.1,0:00.00,java, Here the CPU usage is at 10th column. What regex pattern should I use to get this value?

  • TcpListener.Start() does not open the port

    - by SoMoS
Hello, I have a class that inherits from the TcpListener, this class Shadows the Start method just to call the base Start() and the base BeginAcceptTcpClient(). From time to time the method is called but the port is not opened (netstat does not show the port open). The class looks like this Public Class ExtendedTcpListener Inherits System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener Public Shadows Sub Start() SyncLock (m_stopLock) MyBase.Start() MyBase.BeginAcceptTcpClient(AddressOf Me.CompleteAcceptTcpClient, Me) My.Application.Log.WriteEntry("Extended Tcp Listener started ...", TraceEventType.Verbose) End SyncLock End Sub Any idea on what's happening or how to debug the issue? As the Start() is called without exception I expected to find the port always opened (the log is always written). Extra information: when the Start method works fine it works each time until app is restarted. When the Start method does not work it won't work again until the app is restarted.

  • How to prevent a javascript/backbone.js cloned model from sharing attributes

    - by user540727
I'm working with backbone.js models, so I don't know if my question is particular to the way backbone handles cloning or if it applies to javascript in general. Basically, I need to clone a model which has an attribute property assigned an object. The problem is that when I update the parent or clone's attribute, the other model is also updated. Here is a quick example: var A = Backbone.Model.extend({}); var a = new A({'test': {'some': 'crap'}}); var b = a.clone(); a.get('test')['some'] = 'thing'; // I could also use a.set() to set the attribute with the same result console.log(JSON.stringify(a)) console.log(JSON.stringify(b)) which logs the following: {"test":{"some":"thing"}} {"test":{"some":"thing"}} I would prefer to clone a such that b won't be referencing any of its attributes. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Friday Fun: Christmas Tree Light Up

    - by Asian Angel
Another week has thankfully passed by, so it is time to take a break and have some fun. This week’s game tests your ability to light up the whole Christmas tree…can you figure out the correct wiring configuration? Christmas Tree Light Up The object of the game is simple…light up all of the bulbs on the Christmas tree. While the game may look quick and easy at first you will need to do some thinking and experimenting to come up with the correct wiring configuration. The instructions are very simple…just click on any of the wiring sections or bulbs to rotate them. Keep in mind that you may have to click a few times to line the wiring sections or bulbs up as desired since the rotation is always clockwise. Note: You will need use all of the wiring sections available to completely light the tree up. Each time you will be presented with a different starting setup coming from your power source. Time to hook up the lights! Note: It is recommended that you disable the sound for the game since the “rotation” sounds can be slightly irritating. A nice start but there are still a lot of bulbs to light up. Getting closer… Almost there…only two more bulbs to light up. Success! Have fun playing! • jQuery ajax() function is ignoring dataType parameter in Firefox

    - by ccleve
I'm trying to use jQuery.ajax() to fetch some html, but Firefox is giving me a "junk after document element" error message. As explained here and here the problem seems to be that Firefox is expecting XML from the server, and when it doesn't parse correctly it throws the error. Here's my ajax code: jQuery.ajax({ url: name, dataType: "html", success: function(result) { console.log(result); }, error: function (jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) { console.log(errorThrown); } }); The server returns the html with these response headers: Accept-Ranges bytes Content-Length 2957 Last-Modified Tue, 02 Jul 2013 16:16:59 GMT Note that there's no content-type header. I'm sure that adding one would solve the problem, but that's not an option. The real problem is that Firefox appears to be ignoring the dataType: parameter in the ajax call. I've also tried adding contentType: and accepts: parameters, but it doesn't help. What am I missing here? How do I force Firefox to process the response as plain text?

  • programmatically logout a "specific" user

    - by MD_Oppenheimer
Is it possible in Asp.NET MVC to proframmatically logout a user? I am aware that you can use: FormsService.SignOut(); But this refers to the context of the webpage making the request. I'm trying to prevent a user logging in twice. So if I call: MembershipUser membershipUser = Membership.GetUser(userName); if (membershipUser.IsOnline == true) { // log this user out so we can log them in again FormsService.SignOut(); } calling: FormsService.SignOut(); has no bearing on the context of the user say, with another webbrowser who is logged in already??

  • Procedural... house with rooms generator

    - by pek
I've been looking at some algorithms and articles about procedurally generating a dungeon. The problem is, I'm trying to generate a house with rooms, and they don't seem to fit my requirements. For one, dungeons have corridors, where houses have halls. And while initially they might seem the same, a hall is nothing more than the area that isn't a room, whereas a corridor is specifically designed to connect one area to another. Another important difference with a house is that you have a specific width and height, and you have to fill the entire thing with rooms and halls, whereas with a dungeon, there is empty space. I think halls in a house is something in between a dungeon corridor (gets you to other rooms) and an empty space in the dungeon (it's not explicitly defined in code). More specifically, the requirements are: There is a set of predefined rooms I cannot create walls and doors on the fly. Rooms can be rotated but not resized Again, because I have a predefined set of rooms, I can only rotate them, not resize them. The house dimensions are set and has to be entirely filled with rooms (or halls) I.e. I want to fill a 14x20 house with the available rooms making sure there is no empty space. Here are some images to make this a little more clear: As you can see, in the house, the "empty space" is still walkable and it gets you from one room to another. So, having said all this, maybe a house is just a really really tightly packed dungeon with corridors. Or it's something easier than a dungeon. Maybe there is something out there and I haven't found it because I don't really know what to search for. This is where I'd like your help: could you give me pointers on how to design this algorithm? Any thoughts on what steps it will take? If you have created a dungeon generator, how would you modify it to fit my requirements? You can be as specific or as generic as you like. I'm looking to pick your brains, really.

  • Javascript setters/getters

    - by Martin Hansen
    var author = { firstname: 'Martin', lastname: 'Hansen' } function settersGetters(propStr) { for (var i = 0; i < propStr.length; i++) { author['_'+ propStr[i]] = null; author.__defineGetter__(propStr[i], function() { return author['_'+ propStr[i]]; }); author.__defineSetter__(propStr[i], function(val) { author['_'+ propStr[i]] = val; }); }; } The above code would hopefully generate setters/getters for any supplied properties (in an array) for the object author. But when I call the below code Both firstname and lastname is olsen.. What am I doing wrong? settersGetters(['firstname', 'lastname']); author.firstname = 'per'; author.lastname = 'olsen'; console.log(author.firstname); console.log(author.lastname);

  • science.js’s loess() output is identical to input

    - by user3710111
    Rendered project available here. The line is supposed to be a trend line (as rendered with LOESS), but it merely follows each data point instead. I am no stats wonk, so maybe it makes sense that a LOESS function’s output would match the input as seen in the above example, but it strikes me as being wrong. Here is the relevant bit of code: var loess = science.stats.loess().bandwidth(.2); var xVal = data.map(function(d) { return d.date; }); var yVal = data.map(function(d) { return d.A; }); var loessData = loess([xVal], [yVal])[0]; console.log(yVal); console.log(loessData);

  • JQuery AJAX is not sending UTF-8 to my server, only in IE.

    - by alex
I am sending UTF-8, japanese text, to my server. It works in Firefox. My access.log and headers are: /ajax/?q=%E6%BC%A2%E5%AD%97 Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Content-Type application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8 Howeer, in IE8, my access.log says: /ajax/?q=?? For some reason, IE8 is turning my AJAX call into question marks. Why!? I added the scriptCharset and ContentType according to some tutorials, but still no luck. And this is my code: $.ajax({ >---method:"get", >---url:"/ajax/", scriptCharset: "utf-8" , contentType: "application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8", >---data:"q="+query ... ...

  • Hung JVM consuming 100% CPU

    - by Bogdan
We have a JAVA server running on Sun JRE 6u20 on Linux 32-bit (CentOS). We use the Server Hotspot with CMS collector with the following options (I've only provided the relevant ones): -Xmx896m -Xss128k -XX:NewSize=384M -XX:MaxPermSize=96m -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC Sometimes, after running for a while, the JVM seems to slip into a hung state, whereby even though we don't make any requests to the application, the CPU continues to spin at 100% (we have 8 logical CPUs, so it looks like only one CPU does the spinning). In this state the JVM doesn't respond to SIGHUP signals (kill -3) and we can't connect to it normally with jstack. We CAN connect with "jstack -F", but the output is dodgy (we can see lots of NullPointerExceptions from JStack apparently because it wasn't able to 'walk' some stacks). So the "jstack -F" output seems to be useless. We have run a stack dump from "gdb" though, and we were able to match the thread id that spins the CPU (we found that using "top" with a per-thread view - "H" option) with a thread stack that appears in the gdb result and this is how it looks like: Thread 443 (Thread 0x7e5b90 (LWP 26310)): #0 0x0115ebd3 in CompactibleFreeListSpace::block_size(HeapWord const*) const () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #1 0x01160ff9 in CompactibleFreeListSpace::prepare_for_compaction(CompactPoint*) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #2 0x0123456c in Generation::prepare_for_compaction(CompactPoint*) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #3 0x01229b2c in GenCollectedHeap::prepare_for_compaction() () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #4 0x0122a7fc in GenMarkSweep::invoke_at_safepoint(int, ReferenceProcessor*, bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #5 0x01186024 in CMSCollector::do_compaction_work(bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #6 0x011859ee in CMSCollector::acquire_control_and_collect(bool, bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #7 0x01185705 in ConcurrentMarkSweepGeneration::collect(bool, bool, unsigned int, bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #8 0x01227f53 in GenCollectedHeap::do_collection(bool, bool, unsigned int, bool, int) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #9 0x0115c7b5 in GenCollectorPolicy::satisfy_failed_allocation(unsigned int, bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #10 0x0122859c in GenCollectedHeap::satisfy_failed_allocation(unsigned int, bool) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #11 0x0158a8ce in VM_GenCollectForAllocation::doit() () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #12 0x015987e6 in VM_Operation::evaluate() () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #13 0x01597c93 in VMThread::evaluate_operation(VM_Operation*) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #14 0x01597f0f in VMThread::loop() () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #15 0x015979f0 in VMThread::run() () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #16 0x0145c24e in java_start(Thread*) () from /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so #17 0x00ccd46b in start_thread () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #18 0x00bc2dbe in clone () from /lib/libc.so.6 It seems that a JVM thread is spinning while doing some CMS related work. We have checked the memory usage on the box, there seems to be enough memory available and the system is not swapping. Has anyone come across such a situation? Does it look like a JVM bug? UPDATE I've obtained some more information about this problem (it happened again on a server that has been running for more than 7 days). When the JVM entered the "hung" state it stayed like that for 2 hours until the server was manually restarted. We have obtained a core dump of the process and the gc log. We tried to get a heap dump as well, but "jmap" failed. We tried to use jmap -F but then only a 4Mb file was written before the program aborted with an exception (something about the a memory location not being accessible). So far I think the most interesting information comes from the gc log. It seems that the GC logging stopped as well (possibly at the time when the VM thread went into the long loop): 657501.199: [Full GC (System) 657501.199: [CMS: 400352K->313412K(524288K), 2.4024120 secs] 660634K->313412K(878208K), [CMS Perm : 29455K->29320K(68568K)], 2.4026470 secs] [Times: user=2.39 sys=0.01, real=2.40 secs] 657513.941: [GC 657513.941: [ParNew: 314624K->13999K(353920K), 0.0228180 secs] 628036K->327412K(878208K), 0.0230510 secs] [Times: user=0.08 sys=0.00, real=0.02 secs] 657523.772: [GC 657523.772: [ParNew: 328623K->17110K(353920K), 0.0244910 secs] 642036K->330523K(878208K), 0.0247140 secs] [Times: user=0.08 sys=0.00, real=0.02 secs] 657535.473: [GC 657535.473: [ParNew: 331734K->20282K(353920K), 0.0259480 secs] 645147K->333695K(878208K), 0.0261670 secs] [Times: user=0.11 sys=0.00, real=0.02 secs] .... .... 688346.765: [GC [1 CMS-initial-mark: 485248K(524288K)] 515694K(878208K), 0.0343730 secs] [Times: user=0.03 sys=0.00, real=0.04 secs] 688346.800: [CMS-concurrent-mark-start] 688347.964: [CMS-concurrent-mark: 1.083/1.164 secs] [Times: user=2.52 sys=0.09, real=1.16 secs] 688347.964: [CMS-concurrent-preclean-start] 688347.969: [CMS-concurrent-preclean: 0.004/0.005 secs] [Times: user=0.00 sys=0.01, real=0.01 secs] 688347.969: [CMS-concurrent-abortable-preclean-start] CMS: abort preclean due to time 688352.986: [CMS-concurrent-abortable-preclean: 2.351/5.017 secs] [Times: user=3.83 sys=0.38, real=5.01 secs] 688352.987: [GC[YG occupancy: 297806 K (353920 K)]688352.987: [Rescan (parallel) , 0.1815250 secs]688353.169: [weak refs processing, 0.0312660 secs] [1 CMS-remark: 485248K(524288K)] 783055K(878208K), 0.2131580 secs] [Times: user=1.13 sys =0.00, real=0.22 secs] 688353.201: [CMS-concurrent-sweep-start] 688353.903: [CMS-concurrent-sweep: 0.660/0.702 secs] [Times: user=0.91 sys=0.07, real=0.70 secs] 688353.903: [CMS-concurrent-reset-start] 688353.912: [CMS-concurrent-reset: 0.008/0.008 secs] [Times: user=0.01 sys=0.00, real=0.01 secs] 688354.243: [GC 688354.243: [ParNew: 344928K->30151K(353920K), 0.0305020 secs] 681955K->368044K(878208K), 0.0308880 secs] [Times: user=0.15 sys=0.00, real=0.03 secs] .... .... 688943.029: [GC 688943.029: [ParNew: 336531K->17143K(353920K), 0.0237360 secs] 813250K->494327K(878208K), 0.0241260 secs] [Times: user=0.10 sys=0.00, real=0.03 secs] 688950.620: [GC 688950.620: [ParNew: 331767K->22442K(353920K), 0.0344110 secs] 808951K->499996K(878208K), 0.0347690 secs] [Times: user=0.11 sys=0.00, real=0.04 secs] 688956.596: [GC 688956.596: [ParNew: 337064K->37809K(353920K), 0.0488170 secs] 814618K->515896K(878208K), 0.0491550 secs] [Times: user=0.18 sys=0.04, real=0.05 secs] 688961.470: [GC 688961.471: [ParNew (promotion failed): 352433K->332183K(353920K), 0.1862520 secs]688961.657: [CMS I suspect this problem has something to do with the last line in the log (I've added some "...." in order to skip some lines that were not interesting). The fact that the server stayed in the hung state for 2 hours (probably trying to GC and compact the old generation) seems quite strange to me. Also, the gc log stops suddenly with that message and nothing else gets printed any more, probably because the VM Thread gets into some sort of infinite loop (or something that takes 2+ hours).

  • Are there tools that would be suitable for maintaining a changelog for a Cabal Haskell package?

    - by Norman Ramsey
I'm working fast and furiously on a new Haskell package for compiler writers. I'm going through many minor version numbers daily, and the Haskell packaging system, Cabal, doesn't seem to offer any tools for updating version numbers or for maintaining a change log. (Logs are going into git but that's not visible to anyone using the package.) I would kill for something equivalent to Debian's uupdate or dch/debchange tools. Does anyone know of general-purpose tools that could be used to increment version numbers automatically and add an entry to a change log?

  • NSXMLParser and Geonames

    - by Xcoder
I'm trying to parse a call from Geonames with NSXMLParser in the iPhone SDK. I've used this before but for some reason I'm getting an empty dictionary back even though I get results back in a web browser. Can someone please point out what I may be doing wrong. Below is the code I'm using and the results that comes back pasting it in a browser. Thanks in advance #pragma mark - #pragma mark - Parcer Services -(void)beginLoadingFeed{ //[self startLoadingWithMessage:@"Loading Results...."]; NSInvocationOperation *operation = [[NSInvocationOperation alloc] initWithTarget:self selector:@selector(loadFeed) object:nil]; [operationQueue addOperation:operation]; [operation release]; } - (void)loadFeed{ NSString *path = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://ws.geonames.org/postalCodeSearch?placename=%@&long&maxRows=20",self.location]; [Logger log:@"Geonames Query: %@",path]; [self parseXMLFileAtURL:path]; [self performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(didfinishedLoadingFeed) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:YES]; } -(void)didfinishedLoadingFeed{ } - (void)parserDidStartDocument:(NSXMLParser *)parser{ [Logger log:@"found file and started parsing"]; } //Called when the parser runs into an open tag (<tag>) - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didStartElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName attributes:(NSDictionary *)attributeDict { if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"code"]) { currentResult = [NSMutableDictionary dictionary]; } else { currentElement = [elementName copy]; } } //This is just to resolve random HTML entities - (NSData *)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser resolveExternalEntityName:(NSString *)entityName systemID:(NSString *)systemID { return [entityName dataUsingEncoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; } - (void)parseXMLFileAtURL:(NSString *)URL{ self.results = [[[NSMutableArray alloc] init] autorelease]; NSURL *xmlURL = [NSURL URLWithString:URL]; NSXMLParser *parser = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:xmlURL]; [parser setDelegate:self]; [parser parse]; [parser autorelease]; } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser parseErrorOccurred:(NSError *)parseError { NSString * errorString = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Unable to connect to web site (Error code %i )", [parseError code]]; [Logger log:@"error parsing : %@", errorString]; [self stopLoadingView]; [self showMessage:@"Error loading content" withTitle:@"Error Loading"]; } /*** Called when the parser runs into a close tag (</tag>). • How can I make mock-0.6 return a sequence of values?

    - by Chris R
I'm using the mock-0.6 library from http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/mock/mock.html to mock out a framework for testing, and I want to have a mock method return a series of values, each time it's called. Right now, this is what I figured should work: def returnList(items): def sideEffect(*args, **kwargs): for item in items: yield item yield mock.DEFAULT return sideEffect mock = Mock(side_effect=returnList(aListOfValues)) values = mock() log.info("Got %s", values) And the log output is this: subsys: INFO: Got <generator object func at 0x1021db500> So, the side effect is returning the generator, not the next value, which seems wrong. Where am I getting this wrong?

  • Works using Django development server, but throws import error with Apache using mod_wsgi

    - by Raj
I have a Django project that works fine with the development server that comes with it. No errors are produced at all when I use "django manage.py runserver" and the app works fine, but when I try to use it with mod_wsgi and Apache the browser displays "Internal Server Error" with a 500 error code and it generates an import error in the Apache error log. Here's the error in the log: ImportError: No module named registration I'm using the Django registration module which is located in a path like this: /opt/raj/photos/registration I know that the registration app is in the path because I can fire up a Python shell, import sys, and get a list of paths using sys.path. Here are some of the paths output from Python shell: sys.path ['', '/opt/raj/pyamf', '/opt/raj', '/opt/raj/pictures', '/opt/raj/pictures /registration', '/usr/lib/python2.6',....] Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Apache2 several sites and configuration question

Hello I want to host several sites from my VPS via apache2 under Debian. For this I removed the default from sites-enabled and added this under /etc/apache/sites-enabled/www.mysite.com : NameVirtualHost *:80 <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName mysite.com ServerAlias www.mysite.com Alias /media/ /home/myuser/mysite/media/ Alias /admin_media/ /home/myuser/django/Django-1.2/django/contrib/admin/media/ WSGIScriptAlias / /home/myuser/mysite/wsgi.py ErrorLog /home/myuser/mysite/logs/error.log CustomLog /home/myuser/mysite/logs/access.log combined </VirtualHost> After that I removed the default symbolic link from sites-enabled/ via: a2dissite default and added the new one: a2ensite www.mysite.com Still, I get this error: Restarting web server: apache2apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for myuser apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName [Sat May 29 11:41:13 2010] [warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for myuser apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName [Sat May 29 11:41:13 2010] [warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts . • Passing dynamic CSS to jQuery.animate

    - by harpo
The documentation of jQuery.animate states that The only required parameter is a map of CSS properties. This map is similar to the one that can be sent to the .css() method, except that the range of properties is more restrictive. So, why does this work $('#con div').css( { top : function(i) { console.log(i); return (i * 500) + 'px'; } } ); and this doesn't? $('#con div').animate( { top : function(i) { console.log(i); return (i * 500) + 'px'; } } ); The console shows that the function is being evaluated for css, but not for animate. Am I missing something? By the way, I'm using 1.4.2.

  • How do I avoid the loader lock?

    - by Mark0978
We have a managed app, that uses an assembly. That assembly uses some unmanaged C++ code. The Managed C++ code is in a dll, that depends on several other dlls. All of those Dlls are loaded by this code. (We load all the dll's that ImageCore.dll depends on first, so we can tell which ones are missing, otherwise it would just show up as ImageCore.dll failed to load, and the log file would give no clues as to why). class Interop { private const int DONT_RESOLVE_DLL_REFERENCES = 1; private static log4net.ILog log = log4net.LogManager.GetLogger("Imagecore.NET"); [DllImport("kernel32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = true)] private static extern IntPtr LoadLibraryEx(string fileName, IntPtr dummy, int flags); [DllImport("kernel32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = true)] private static extern IntPtr FreeLibrary(IntPtr hModule); static private String[] libs = { "log4cplus.dll", "yaz.dll", "zlib1.dll", "libxml2.dll" }; public static void PreloadAssemblies() { for (int i=0; i < libs.Length; ++i) { String libname = libs[i]; IntPtr hModule = LoadLibraryEx(libname, IntPtr.Zero, DONT_RESOLVE_DLL_REFERENCES); if(hModule == IntPtr.Zero) { log.Error("Unable to pre-load '" + libname + "'"); throw new DllNotFoundException("Unable to pre-load '" + libname + "'"); } else { FreeLibrary(hModule); } } IntPtr h = LoadLibraryEx("ImageCore.dll", IntPtr.Zero, 0); if (h == IntPtr.Zero) { throw new DllNotFoundException("Unable to pre-load ImageCore.dll"); } } } And this code is called by public class ImageDoc : IDisposable { static ImageDoc() { ImageHawk.ImageCore.Utility.Interop.PreloadAssemblies(); } ... } Which is static constructor. As near as I can understand it, as soon as we attempt to use an ImageDoc object, the dll that contains that assembly is loaded and as part of that load, the static constructor is called which in turn causes several other DLLs to be loaded as well. What I'm trying to figure out, is how do we defer loading of those DLLs so that we don't run smack dab into this loader lock that is being kicked out because of the static constructor. I've pieced this much together by looking at: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vsto/thread/dd192d7e-ce92-49ce-beef-3816c88e5a86 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa290048%28VS.71%29.aspx http://forums.devx.com/showthread.php?t=53529 http://www.yoda.arachsys.com/csharp/beforefieldinit.html But I just can't seem to find a way to get these external DLLs to load without it happening at the point the class is loading. I think I need to get these LoadLibrary calls out of the static constructor, but don't know how to get them called before they are needed (except for how it is done here). I would prefer to not have to put this kind of knowledge of the dlls into every app that uses this assembly. (And I'm not sure that would even fix the problem.... The strange thing is that the exception only appears to be happening while running within the debugger, not while running outside the debugger.

  • Problem deploying Rails with Passenger to Mac OS X Leopard Server

    - by Meltemi
I'm spinning my wheels... Apache is working and serving static html, png, etc. normally. Trying to get Passenger to serve a rails app out of www.mydomain.com/rails/ as it stands when i try to hit my app: www.mydomain.com/rails/myapp/railsclassname I get only an Apache 403 Errors. Nothing in myapp's Production Log. Apache2 access.log: "GET /rails/ HTTP/1.1" 403 1085 Apache2 error.log: [Fri Jun 11 22:44:01 2010] [error] [client 10.0.1.41] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/wwwroot/rails/railsclassname i've even tried www.mydomain.com/myapp/classname Passenger, obviously, isn't routing requests made into my sub-folder rails/ to my rails app. not sure where i've screwed up. the most obvious thing is "Passenger doesn't seem to be running"... instructions I've followed just say to sudo apachectl graceful, which i've done (as well as stopped/started). new to this so go easy on me! Here's some info that might be helpful. happy to provide more as needed... As per some instruction @ Passenger site i've created a symlink from /Library/WebServer/myapp/rails - /Library/WebServer/rails/myapp/public myhost:myapp joe$ passenger-config --root /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.2.14 myhost:myapp joe$ passenger-status ERROR: Phusion Passenger doesn't seem to be running. apollo:myapp joe$ cat /etc/httpd/httpd.conf ... <removed for brevity> ... # Copied From Passenger Installer LoadModule passenger_module /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.2.14/ext/apache2/mod_passenger.so PassengerRoot /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.2.14 PassengerRuby /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby # End Passenger Installer NameVirtualHost * <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.mydomain.com DocumentRoot /Library/WebServer/rails/myapp/public # <-- be sure to point to 'public'! RackBaseURI /rails <Directory /Library/WebServer/rails/myapp/public> AllowOverride all # <-- relax Apache security settings Options -MultiViews # <-- MultiViews must be turned off order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> This last bit from NameVirtualHost on is pieced together from a number of online material i've found...as i've been desperately trying to find something/anything that'll show Passenger at least has a pulse!?!
