    Hi, I have an XML file with syntax errors. eg. <Viewport thisisbad Left="0" Top="0" Width="1280" Height="720" > When i create an XML reader it does not throw any errors. I there a way to do syntax checking automatically, like XMLDocument does ? I have tried setting various XmlReaderSettings flags but found nothing useful.

    I would like to be able to decide where a sub view is placed, when that view is controlled by its own view controller. This happens frequently on the iPad when you have a semi-complicated view that doesn't fill the entire screen. So, imagine that I want the sub view controller's nib to decide its own width, components, connections, etc, while the parent nib would decide where that view/nib would be placed. I'd really like to lay it out visually instead of programatically. How can I?

    Whenever I add paddingRight to a column in the flex grid, it adds the padding to the header as well. Is anyone familiar with how I can add paddingRight just to the column and not to the header?   • invalid postback event instead of dropdown to datagrid

    I faced with funny situation. I created a page which is having some value, I set these value and control my post back event also. The problem is happening when I change a component index(ex reselect a combobox which is not inside my datagrid) then I dont know why without my page call the Page_Load it goes to create a new row in grid function and all of my parameter are null! I am just receiving null exception. So in other word I try to explain the situation: when I load my page I am initializing some parameter. then everything is working fine. in my page when I change selected item of my combo box, page suppose to go and run function related to that combo box, and call page_load, but it is not going there and it goes to rowcreated function. I am trying to illustrate part of my page. If I remove the right column the footer is still misplaced in the page. I presume it is something related to the float.

With the above query, if i remove the where condition, am able to achieve what i want, but problem is i also want to return related rows from LeaveApplication only if ApplicationDate is in the current year. Now with the where condition added, am only able to get rows from EmployeeInfo only if they have corresponding rows in LeaveApplications yet i just wanted rows all in EmployeeInfo

    Is there a way to give a subquery in Oracle 11g an alias like: select * from (select client_ref_id, request from some_table where message_type = 1) abc, (select client_ref_id, response from some_table where message_type = 2) defg where abc.client_ref_id = def.client_ref_id; Otherwise is there a way to join the two subqueries based on the client_ref_id. I realize there is a self join, but on the database I am running on a self join can take up to 5 min to complete (there is some extra logic in the actual query I am running but I have determined the self join is what is causing the issue). The individual subqueries only take a few seconds to complete by them selves. The self join query looks something like: select st.request, st1.request from some_table st, some_table st1 where st.client_ref_id = st1.client_ref_id;

  • jquery ui is not scaling text properly!

    I'm trying use jquery ui to scale a div that I'm dragging around to make it easier to see what's behind it, but any text inside it is scaling strangely. The text itself becomes smaller, but it seems to have a bunch of padding around it and is floating now. The text extends past the bottom of the div even though it should be contained properly by the div. I put a red border around the lines of text and the borders are the same size as the original text. I'm not really sure what to do to get this to work...   • Phantom horizontal scroll bars on the whole window in IE.

    I'm working on a website layout you can find at dev.movingcost.com In most browsers, everything seems fine... but I'm getting a horizontal scroll bar on the window when viewing the page in IE. I'm using a fixed width of 960px with auto margins to center the content. I've even tried using "overflow-x:hidden" on the html and body tags to no avail... any clue where the problem is?

It seems like be stoped. After 20 min ,I just canceld build. It has been built well before. I just added some files(.h .cpp) and resorces(.bmp), not special code and it happened.   • html5media & flowplayer wmode issues...

    I'm working on our new homepage and need to implement a solution that will run a video across iphone/ipad and the standard web browsers. I found a pretty decent solution with html5media - http://code.google.com/p/html5media/ but ran across an issue with a jquery dropdown falling behind the the swf object (this only happens on FF & IE - works fine on Safari & Chrome because it's loading mp4 instead of a swf object). I know the issue is the wmode setting but can not for the life of me figure out where to set it in the html5media (http://html5media.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/src/html5media.min.js). I'm hoping someone can help me or possibly give me a better solution of implementing the video.     I have a group of divs which I'm dynamically generating when a button is clicked with the class, "brick". This gives them dimension and starting position of top: 0. I'm trying to get them to animate to the bottom of the view using a css transition with a second class assignment which gives them a bottom position: 0;. Can't figure out the syntax for adding a second class to elements with a pre-existing class. On inspection they only show the original class of, "brick".   • Setting background-image with javascript

    In chrome, safari, and opera setting the background image to an absolute reference such as: "/images/image.png" changes it to "http://sitepath/images/image.png". It does not do this in firefox. Is there any way to avoid this behavior, or is it written into the browser's javascript engine? Using jquery to set the background-image also does this problem. The problem is that I am posting the HTML to a php script that needs the urls in this specific format. I know that setting the image path relative fixes this, but I can't do that. The only other alternative would be to use a regexp. to convert the urls. Thanks.
