• JPA Entity Manager resource handling

  Every time I call JPA method its creating entity and binding query. My persistence properties are: <property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect"/> <property name="hibernate.cache.provider_class" value="net.sf.ehcache.hibernate.SingletonEhCacheProvider"/> <property name="hibernate.cache.use_second_level_cache" value="true"/> <property name="hibernate.cache.use_query_cache" value="true"/> And I am creating entity manager the way shown below: emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("pu"); em = emf.createEntityManager(); em = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("pu").createEntityManager(); Is there any nice way to manage entity manager resource instead create new every time or any property can set in persistence. • Playback of opus-codec on Android

  I'm looking for a way to integrate opus-codec (the decoder part) with my Android application. Do you know of any implementations that have done so? We are currently using ogg-vorbis for spoken prompts, considering going with either speex (deprecated, but with few documented attempts) or opus (currently no documented attempts). If we would have to go the NDK route, do you think it should provide us with a application size improvement? OggVorbis is supported by the platform, neither speex nor opus are.

  I need to hide columns in GridView Then access the values of these in the GridViewSelectedIndexChanged using vb.net. When I set DataBound columns is false cant acces the values. I also tried to watch the process when it changes with the debugger, but I couldn't find any responsible code. As you can see I am still a beginner in Cocoa (and programming in general), so I would be really happy if somebody would help me with this.

  Given an image with a large dimension ( 1.000 x 1.000). What is a good approach to find a small image (e.g. 50 x 50) in the big one?   I'm playing with numbers in Java, and want to see how big a number I can make. It is my understanding that BigInteger can hold a number of infinite size, so long as my computer has enough Memory to hold such a number, correct? My problem is that BigInteger.pow accepts only an int, not another BigInteger, which means I can only use a number up to 2,147,483,647 as the exponent. Is it possible to use the BigInteger class as such? BigInteger.pow(BigInteger) Thanks.

  I've got a UIWebView which starts off with the scalesPagesToFit property set to YES. This loads up the page and scales it fine. When the user taps a button I want to turn off the scaling and show the page full size but I'm struggling to figure out how to force the page to redraw. I specifically do not want to refresh the page (ie fetch it from the server again) just redraw the page that has already been downloaded. I've tried setNeedsLayout and setNeedsDisplay but neither of these work
