Until now I use [NSTextField selectText] it selects this textfield but it selects the whole text so if someone just begins to type he'd lose all the text which alread is in the textfield.

• HTML/Javascript Strange behavior with input field and TABBING

  I have a strange error where if a user enters in data, say first name and then tabs, the text in the field is highlighted/selected as opposed to moving to the next. So, a person may type the first name and then tab to the next input item, text is selected and then they hit a character and now the name they typed in is deleted. If I use the default [input] tags, the tab works properly. But in the code below, with keyup, that may change the tabbing behavior. How can I get my code where it won't select the text.   I know I can use android.text.format.DateFormat.getDateFormat() to format my dates, and android.text.format.DateFormat.getTimeFormat to format my times, but how do I format a datetime? Similar to the getDateTimeInstance method from java.text.DateFormat. I'm currently just concatenating the result of both the getDateFormat and getTimeFormat's formatters, but I don't know which way around the user prefers to have their dates and times shown.

The last alert shows that the value of the bool variable is "true". However, when I do page source views of the hidden variable, below is the result. The values of the hidden variable when the page loads and when the last alert button finishes are as follows: My local machine: The remote machine: As you can see, the value on my machine is set to true when the process executes. However, on the remote machine, it is set to false where it then doesn't excute. Why isn't the value in the model being returned as TRUE on the remote machine?

• ASP.Net / MySQL : Translating content into several languages

  I have an ASP.Net website which uses a MySQL database for the back end. The website is an English e-commerce system, and we are looking at the possibility of translating it into about five other languages (French, Spanish etc). We will be getting human translators to perform the translation - we've looked at automated services but these aren't good enough. The static text on the site (e.g. headings, buttons etc) can easily be served up in multiple languages via .Net's built in localization features (resx files etc). The thing that I'm not so sure about it how best to store and retrieve the multi-language content in the database. For example, there is a products table that includes these fields... productId (int) categoryId (int) title (varchar) summary (varchar) description (text) features (text) The title, summary, description and features text would need to be available in all the different languages. Here are the two options that I've come up with... Create additional field for each language For example we could have titleEn, titleFr, titleEs etc for all the languages, and repeat this for all text columns. We would then adapt our code to use the appropriate field depending on the language selected. This feels a bit hacky, and also would lead to some very large tables. Also, if we wanted to add additional languages in the future it would be time consuming to add even more columns. Use a lookup table We could create a new table with the following format... textId | languageId | content ------------------------------- 10 | EN | Car 10 | FR | Voiture 10 | ES | Coche 11 | EN | Bike 11 | FR | Vélo We'd then adapt our products table to reference the appropriate textId for the title, summary, description and features instead of having the text stored in the product table. This seems much more elegant, but I can't think of a simple way of getting this data out of the database and onto the page without using complex SQL statements. Of course adding new languages in the future would be very simple compared to the previous option. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions about the best way to achieve this! Is there any "best practice" guidance out there? Has anyone done this before?

  I have a problem with a TextBox in an application... A window has a Grid with two columns. The left column contains a control with a constant width but with a height that adapts. The right column contains a TextBox that takes up all remaining space in the Grid (and thereby in the Window). The Grid is given a minimal width and height and is wrapped within a ScrollViewer. If the user resizes the window to be smaller than the minimal widht/height of the Grid, scrollbars are displayed. This is exactly how I want it to be. However, a problem occurs when the user starts typing text. If the text is to long to fit in one line in the TextBox, I want the text to wrap. Therefore I set TextWrapping="Wrap" on the TextBox. But since the TextBox has an automatic width and is wrapped in a ScrollViewer (its actually the whole Grid that is wrapped), the TextBox just keeps expanding to the right. I do want the TextBox to expand if the window is expanded, but I don't want the TextBox to expand by the text. Rather the text should wrap inside the available TextBox. If the text don't fit within the TextBox height, a scrollbar should be displayed within the TextBox. Is there a way to accomplish this? • What is wrong here when I add meta:resourcekey to LinkButton.

  For the code below:- <asp:LinkButton ID="lbtnTest" runat="server" CssClass="toolbar" CommandArgument="Test" meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" OnCommand="ChangeText"> <asp:Literal ID="litTest" Text="My Text" runat="server" meta:resourcekey="litTest" /> </asp:LinkButton> When I remove meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" from the link button then litTest is rendered properly whereas if I have meta:resourcekey="lbtnTest1" in link button it doesn't display text for litTest. Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

• Java - Reading a csv file line by line - stuck with weird non-existent characters being read!

  hello fellow java developers. I'm having a very strange issue. I'm trying to read a csv file line by line. Im at the point where Im just testing out the reading of the lines. ONly each time that I read a line, the line contains square characters between each character of text. I even saved the file as a txt file in wordpad and notepad with no change. Thus I must be doing something stupid... I have a csv file, standard csv file, yes a text file with commas in it. I try to read a line of text, but the text is all f-ed up and cannot find the phrase within the text.
