  • Getting the System tick count with basic C++?

    I essentially want to reconstruct the getTickCount() windows function so I can use it in basic C++ without any non standard libraries or even the STL. (So it complies with the libraries supplied with the Android NDK) I have looked at clock() localtime time But I'm still unsure whether it is possible to replicate the getTickCount windows function with the time library. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to do this or even if its possible?

The problem is that all of the templates seem to be geared towards a complete system design as opposed to individual components and are consequently overkill.   • Google Map + MarkerClusterer only takes place when map completely zooms out

    The clustering works but somehow it only takes place at the maximum zoom out(the largest view with all nations), the moment I zoom in by 1 value, the clustering icon changes back to markers. I try with all kinds of values on the maxZoom and gridSize clusterer options with no help. Can someone please kindly advice.     Well, I'm planning on releasing a Jar into the world but would prefer if the code was not readably available to anyone with a Java Decompiler as I want to control access to the program with usernames / auth codes etc. After some Googling I haven't found any software to do this for me, so I was wondering what steps to take from here; if anyone can point me at any software or information on methodologies of obscurification I would be grateful.     Hi, I'm curious what are some effects/downside of not putting an index.html file to your directories (e.g images). I know when an index file is not present to a directory, files inside that directory are no longer private and will be visible to the browsers when point (eg yoursite.com/images/). Aside from that what are some big effects to consider? and how to properly secure them. thanks!

I can fix this by changing the program to pass cmd by reference when calling scanf and strcmp. The segfault goes away and is replaced by warnings for each use of strcmp at compile time. Despite the warnings, the affected code works. warning: passing arg 1 of 'strcmp' from incompatible pointer type As an added bonus, modifying the scanf and strcmp calls allows the program to progress far enough to execute return(0), at which point the thing crashes with an Abort trap. If I swap out return(0) for exit(0) then everything works as expected. This leaves me with two questions: why was the original program wrong? How can I fix it better than I have? The bit about needing to use exit instead of return has me especially baffled.

    There are times when I find some example XAML that I want\need to do in code (c#\vb.net). I assume at some point the XAML becomes code, or at least IL. So my questions: Am I correct in assuming that XAML is converted to IL? (or if not IL what does it become?) If the above is correct, when does XAML become IL (or whatever it becomes)? Is there some way to see the XAML in as "code" Thanks.

    I have a function that takes a pointer to a superclass and performs operations on it. However, at some point, the function must make a deep copy of the inputted object. Is there any way I can perform such a copy? It occurred to me to make the function a template function and simply have the user pass the type, but I hold out hope that C++ offers a more elegant solution.

  • Web UI for inputting a function from the reals to the reals, such as a probability distribution.

    I would like a web interface for a user to describe a one-dimensional real-valued function. I'm imagining the user being presented with a blank pair of axes and they can click anywhere to create points that are thick and draggable. Double-clicking a point, let's say, makes it disappear. The actual function should be shown in real time as an interpolation of the user-supplied points.
