• How to sort the file names in bash in this circumstance?

  I have run a program to generate some results with the different parameters(i.e. the R, C and RP). These results are saved in files named results.txt. Then, I should parse these experimental results to make an analysis. In the params_R_7_C_16_RP_0, the 7 is the value of the parameter R, the 16 is the value of the parameter C and the 0 is the value of the parameter RP. Now, I want to get these results.txt files in the current directory to parse, and sort the path with the parameter values of R,C and RP. • Programmatical Creation of NSMappingModel

  I want to programmatically (without Lightweight Migration) create a mapping model between two models that are exactly the same, except one of the entities (there are a bunch of entities) has different attributes. Let's call this entity "Person". And let's say the destination model has 1) added a new attribute called "address" 2) deleted an attribute called "eyeColor" 3) kept (i.e. not done anything with) an attribute called "name" How would you create an NSMappingModel between these models programmatically? I happen to have some explicit questions that might help me do this by myself: Q1) Do I have to create NSEntityMapping objects for all of the entities other than "Person", even if they remain unchanged? Q2) How do I deal with the "address" attribute in "Person", which is a new one being created? Should I create an NSPropertyMapping for that somehow, that turns nothing into something ("address")? Q3) How do I deal with the "name" attribute in "Person"? Do I have to create an NSPropertyMapping for that, even though it simply stays the same? Q4) For the NSEntityMapping corresponding to "Person", is not creating any NSPropertyMapping for "eyeColor" a proper way to get it deleted? Or should I create an NSPropertyMapping for "eyeColor"? If yes, how would this object be created, i.e. what would determine that its purpose is to get rid of "eyeColor"? Thank you in advance, and I apologize not being able to answer these questions myself, as the documenation really has no good example of how to create NSMappingModels programmatically. Note again that I'm not allowed to use Lightweight Migration. I must do this manually.

This will give us the simple implementation of search request, like "show me all items in group 1". We will have a deal only with CatalogModel.catalog_root_group The problem is - this association does't work. I always get "catalog_root_group" equals to nil Also, i have tried to overcome the using of reference to root group ("catalog_root_group"), but i cannot construct appropriate search request in ruby ... Do you know, how to do it ?

I'm assuming that the parameters are enumerated (starting at zero), for each "new" Select query. However, in this case where the two Select queries are nested, I would have expected the output to have two parameters named @0 and @1. My query is based on one that Rob Conery gave on his blog as a preview of the "Pakala" query tool that became Subsonic 3. His example was: int records = new Select(Northwind.Product.Schema) .Where("productid") .In( new Select("productid").From(Northwind.Product.Schema) .Where("categoryid").IsEqualTo(5) ) .GetRecordCount(); Has anyone else seen this behavior? • manage.py runserver throws an ImportError with my appname, MacPorts issue on OSX?

  I've been developing a Django app for weeks locally on OSX 10.6.3. Recently, I rebooted my machine and went to start my development environment up. Digging around, it's possible that this might be due to MacPorts. Initially, I had a rough time getting Django up and running and I no longer remember if I'm using the Django from a MacPorts install or from easy_install. How do I tell? (I'd prefer not to reinstall everything). Also, why is the camel casing in my app name gone in the ImportError message? When I search for "myapp" in my django project, I don't find it without camelcase anywhere. And what causes MacPorts to work for a while but then break? • Transaction Isolation Level of Serializable not working for me

  I have a website which is used by all branches of a store and what it does is that it records customer purchases into a table called myTransactions.myTransactions table has a column named SerialNumber.For each purchase i create a record in the transactions table and assign a serial to it.The stored procedure that does this calls a UDF function to get a new serialNumber before inserting the record.Like below : Create Procedure mytransaction_Insert as begin insert into myTransactions(column1,column2,column3,...SerialNumber) values( Value1 ,Value2,Value3,...., getTransactionNSerialNumber()) end Create function getTransactionNSerialNumber as begin RETURN isnull(SELECT TOP (1) SerialNumber FROM myTransactions READUNCOMMITTED ORDER BY SerialNumber DESC),0) + 1 end The website is being used by so many users in different stores at the same time and it is creating many duplicate serialNumbers(same SerialNumbers).So i added a Sql transaction with ReadCommitted level to the transaction and i still got duplicate transaction numbers.I changed it to SERIALIZABLE in order to lock the resources and i not only got duplicate transaction numbers(!!HOW!!) but i also got sporadic deadlocks between the same stored procedure calls.This is what i tried : (With ommissions of try catch blocks and rollbacks) Create Procedure mytransaction_Insert as begin SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SERIALIZABLE BEGIN TRASNACTION ins insert into myTransactions(column1,column2,column3,...SerialNumber) values( Value1 ,Value2 , Value3, ...., getTransactionNSerialNumber()) COMMIT TRANSACTION ins SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION READCOMMITTED end I even copied the function that gets the serial number directly into the stored procedure instead of the UDF function call and still got duplicate serialNumbers.So,How can a stored procedure line create something Like the c# lock() {} block. By the way,i have to implement the transaction serial number using the same pattern and i can't change the serialNumber to any other identity field or whatever.And for some reasons i need to generate the serialNumber inside the databse and i can't move SerialNumber generation to application level.   Hello, I am working with JPA and I would like to persist an object (Action) composed of an object (Domain). Action and Domain are persisted. But if I try to persist an Action with an existing Domain, I get this error: javax.persistence.EntityExistsException: Exception Description: Cannot persist detached object [isd.pacepersistence.common.Domain@1716286]. Class> isd.pacepersistence.common.Domain Primary Key> [8] How can I persist my Action and automatically persist a Domain if it does not exist? • Should I have different models and views for no user data than for some user data?

  I'm just starting to learn asp.net mvc and I'm not sure what the right thing to do is. I have a user and a user has a collection of (0 or more) reminders. I have a controller for the user which gets the reminders for the currently logged in user from a reminder service. It populates a model which holds some information about the user and the collection of reminders. My question is should I have 2 different views, one for when there are no reminders and one for when there are some reminders? Or should I have 1 view which checks the number of reminders and displays different things? Having one view seems wrong as then I end up with code in my view which says if (Model.Reminders.Count==0){//do something} else {do something else}, and having logic in the view feels wrong. But if I want to have 2 different views then I'd like to have some code like this in my controller: [Authorize] public ActionResult Index() { MembershipUser currentUser = m_membershipService.GetUser(); IList<Reminder> reminders = m_reminderRepository.GetReminders(currentUser); if (reminders.Count == 0) { var model = new EmptyReminderModel { Email = currentUser.Email, UserName = currentUser.UserName }; return View(model); } else { var model = new ReminderModel { Email = currentUser.Email, UserName = currentUser.UserName, Reminders = reminders }; return View(model); } but obviously this doesn't compile as the View can't take both different types. So if I'm going to do this should I return a specific named view from my controller, depending on the emptiness of the reminders, or should my Index() method redirect to other actions like so: [Authorize] public ActionResult Index() { MembershipUser currentUser = m_membershipService.GetUser(); IList<Reminder> reminders = m_reminderRepository.GetReminders(currentUser); if (reminders.Count == 0) { return RedirectToAction("ShowEmptyReminders"); } else { return RedirectToAction("ShowReminders"); } } which seems nicer but then I need to re-query the reminders for the current user in the ShowReminders action. Or should I be doing something else entirely?

• Fluent NHibernate auto mapping: map property from another table's column

  I'm trying to use S#arp architecture... which includes Fluent NHibernate I'm newbie with (and with NHibernate too, frankly speaking). Auto mapping is used. So I have this: public class UserAction : Entity { public UserAction() { } [DomainSignature] [NotNull, NotEmpty] public virtual string Name { get; set; } [NotNull, NotEmpty] public virtual string TypeName { get; private set; } } public class UserActionMap : IAutoMappingOverride<UserAction> { public void Override(AutoMap<UserAction> mapping) { mapping.WithTable("ProgramComponents", m => m.Map(x => x.TypeName)); } } Now, table UserActions references table ProgramComponents (many to one) and I want property UserAction.TypeName to have value from db field ProgramComponents.TypeName. However, the above code fails with NHibernate.MappingException: Duplicate property mapping of TypeName found in OrderEntry3.Core.UserAction As far as I understand the problem is that TypeName is already auto-mapped... but I haven't found a way to remove the automatic mapping. Actually I think that my WithTable/Map mapping has to replace the automatic TypeName mapping, but seems like it does not. I also tried different mapping (names are different but that's all the same): mapping.WithTable("ProgramComponents", m => m.References<ProgramComponent>( x => x.Selector, "ProductSelectorID" ) and still get the same error. I can overcome this with mapping.HasOne<ProgramComponent>(x => x.Selector); but that's not what I exactly wants to do. And I still wonder why the first two methods do not work. I suspect this is because of WithTable.

• viewstack causing error 1065 variable not defined issue?

  I've got an flex application where I have a left side TREE control and a viewstack on the right and when someone selects the tree it loads the named viewstack based on the hidden node value of the XML of the tree. But it's throwing a error 1065 variable not defined on a viewstack which worked on the last browser refresh/reload. It's not related to a particular viewstack from what I can tell it just seems to throw the error on certain render events. I've tried to use creationpolicy="all" on the viewstack but it seems to not be of any help. public function treeChanged(event:Event):void { selectedNode=Tree(event.target).selectedItem as XML; //trace(selectedNode.@hidden); //Alert.show([email protected]() + " *"); if([email protected]() == '' || [email protected]() == null){ //Alert.show("NULL !"); return; } mainviewstack.selectedChild = Container(mainviewstack.getChildByName([email protected]())); //Container(mainviewstack.getChildByName(selectedNode.@hidden)); If I add in an alert box before the getchildbyname option the viewstack has time to render and everything works fine, so it leads me to believe the app is not giving it enough time to load the viewstack?

Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No bean named 'simplePersonBase' is defined I am sure there is a way to do this, however, I have not found it. Does anyone know how?

  I have a simple class library (COM+ service) written in C# to consume 5 web services: Add, Minus, Divide, Multiply and Compare. I've created the abstract product and abstract factory classes. The abstract product named WS's code: public abstract class WS { public abstract double Calculate(double a, double b); public abstract string Compare(double a, double b); } As you see, when one of the subclasses inherits WS, both methods must be overridden which might not be useful in some subclasses. E.g. Compare doesn't need Calculate() method. To instantiate a new CompareWS object, the client class will call the CreateWS() method which returns a WS object type. public class CompareWSFactory : WSFactory { public override WS CreateWS() { return new CompareWS(); } } But if Compare() is not defined as abstract in WS, the Compare() method cannot be invoked. This is only an example with two methods, but what if there are more methods? Is it stupid to define all the methods as abstract in the WS class? My question is: I want to define abstract methods that are common to all subclasses of WS whereas when the factory creates a WS object type, all the methods of the subclasses can be invoked (overridden methods of WS and also the methods in subclasses). How should I do this?

• How do I reference an unsigned assembly from a VSTO Word Doc project?

  I created a new project in VS2008. Project type Visual C# > Office > 2007 > Word 2007 Document Added some code.. got Word to do a few jumps through some custom hoops.. all fine. Now I need to reference another assembly (CopyLocal as false) which is not signed. So I add the project reference. Now the project will not build complaining error MSB3188: Assembly 'X.dll' must be strong signed in order to be marked as a prerequisite. The error code page is concise (now accustomed to this) Been googling and reading posts ever since.. No Luck. How do I get around this ? Or is the hidden commandment that all references (for VSTO?) must be strong named / signed. I cannot sign 'X.dll' and be done with it because it is a binary that I don't control also it depends on another bunch of unsigned dlls.. can't set off a chain sign reaction. Update: Solved the build issue by turning CopyLocal=True. But this meant dumping the referenced X.DLL and all its dependencies into the bin\debug folder... Ughh! Tried creating a subfolder called bin\debug\refExecs and referencing X.dll CopyLocal=false from there. The error message was back.

• JQGRID Master detail on different pages

  Hello, I need some help on next things. I was trying to do next few things. I have one grid_test.php (that creates jqgrid) and index_grid.php (just to display grid.php). jQGrid in grid.php have custom button named 'Prikazi'. I want the user to select one row from that grid and when press custom button 'Prikazi' to redirect to another page to show subgrid (and to pass parameter which is the id of the selected row). Subgrid is in the file detail_test.php and also I have file called index_detail.php (for displaying the file detail_test.php with jqgrid). These php files communicate by passing parameter id_reda (or id) that is id of the selected row in grid_test.php. I have tried many ways to achieve that but I wasn't able. Subgrid php file (detail_test.php) receives that parameter but when I add that to sql statement in subgrid file it shows next error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 0, 0' at line 16' in C:\Zend\Apache2\htdocs\jqSuitePHP3811SourceRadna\php\jqGridPdo.php:62 I really don't know what am I doing wrong. Maybe the passing of parameter is wrong and maybe subgrid can't create colModel properly. Or it has something to do with sql statements. Actually my work was based on one of your examples masterdetail, but I wanted to have master grid on one page and when user clicks custom button, goes to another page with detail grid. • Problem creating checklist (similar to TouchCells sample code) app for iPhone. Random cells get chec

  I've been having a problem creating a checklist in the style of the TouchCells example from the Apple sample code. Basically, it is a table that allows multiple selection of its items and gives each selected item a check mark. The problem I'm having is that when I select an item and then scroll down the screen, another item (off the screen) will randomly be selected. It seems that it is usually the next cell to be loaded on the screen. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong so I tested it with Apple's TouchCells code. In their program though, they only have 6 cells and there is no room to scroll. So, I duplicated some of the items from the plist file to make more cells and... the same problem pops up. If you select a cell and then scroll, another cell will randomly be selected. Update I recently tried the iPhone Dev Cookbook sample code named "Checks" and... you guessed it, the same problem. • WPF not applying default styles defined in MergedDictionaries?

  In a WPF application I defined default control styles in separate resource dictionaries (e.g. "ButtonStyle.xaml"), and added them as merged dictionaries to a resource dictionary named "ResDictionary.xaml". If I refer this "ResDictionary.xaml" as merged dictionary in my App.xaml, the default styles are not applied. However, if I refer the "ButtonStyle.xaml", it works correctly. If I recompile the same code in .NET 3.5 or 3.0, it recognizes and applies the default styles referred in "App.xaml" through "ResDictionary.xaml", but not in .NET 4.0. At runtime if I check the Application.Current.Resources dictionary, the default styles are there, but they are not applied, only if I specify the Style property explicitly in the Button control. Are there any solutions to refer a resource dictionary (containig default styles) this way in .NET 4.0? I started with the following pattern: MYSCHEMA *? = *?[\W\w\S\s]*\(HOST *?= *?(?<host>\w+\s?)\)\s?\(PORT *?= *?(?<port>\d+)\s?\)[\W\w\S\s]*\(SERVICE_NAME *?= *?(?<servicename>\w+)\s?\) which worked fine when MYSCHEMA was the only schema in the file, but when there are other schemas listed after MYSCHEMA it matches all the way to the last schema. I have since created a new pattern: MYSCHEMA *=\s*\(DESCRIPTION =\s*\(ADDRESS *= *\(PROTOCOL *= *TCP\)\(HOST *= *(?<host>\w+)\)\(PORT *= *(?<port>\d+)\)\)\s*\(CONNECT_DATA *=\s*(?<serverdedicated>\(SERVER *= *DEDICATED\))\s*\(SERVICE_NAME *= *(?<servicename>[\w\.]+) *\)\s*\)\s*\) This pattern matches MYSCHEMA only, but I had to add every element that appeared in MYSCHEMA entry, and it won't match MYOTHERSCHEMA if it does not contain all the same elements. Ideally, I'd like a pattern that matches MYSCHEMA entry only, and captures HOST, PORT and SERVICE NAME, and optionally (SERVER = DEDICATED) (which I didn't have in the first pattern) to named groups. • mysql-python stopped working

  This is a rather dumb question but i'am looking at a bizarre situation. I am running fedora and have python 2.6.5 installed. The other day i installed MySQL-python using yum (because i do not have the setuptools module so i cannot build it from source). Anyway yesterday i wrote my entire data access layer in python and it was running fine, i did test it. Today however it gives me an ImportError: No module named MySQLdb The only thing i ever changed was i installed eclipse and pyDev. Any ideas on what went wrong and how i fix it. I tried removing and re-installing MySql-python but that did not help. I did the following import sys print sys.path And it shows me all the paths which are basically pertaining to /usr/local/lib/python2.6 However i was trying to find where the MySQLdb module is installed and it seems that its installed in /usr/lib/python2.5/sitepackages Now i have no idea why it got installed there and why it was working earlier and why it stopped working now. Any ideas on how i should fix it. I did try copying the site-packages folder over to the python2.6 folder but that did not work Help!!

• Mysteriously empty $_POST array

However, no matter what values I enter in the fields; the result is always: array(2) { ["test"]=> string(0) "" ["action"]=> string(2) "Go" } string(16) "test=&action=Go&" Somehow, the array named test is emptied, the "action" variable does make it through. I've used the Live HTTP Headers extension for Firefox to check whether the POST fields get submitted, and they do. The relevant information from Live HTTP Headers (with a, b and c filled in as values in the textboxes): Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 51 test%5B1%5D=a&test%5B2%5D=b&test%5B3%5D=c&action=Go Does anybody have any idea as to why this is happening? I'm freaking out on this one, it has cost me so much time already...

• flash as3 document class and event listeners

  I think i have this document class concept entirly wrong now, i was wondering if someone mind explaining it.. I assumed that the above class would be instantiated within the first frame on scene one of a movie. I also assumed that when changing scenes the state of the class would remain constant so any event listeners would still be running.. Scene 1: I have a movieclip named ui_mc, that has a button in for muting sound. Scene 2: I have the same movie clip with the same button. Now the eventListener picks it up in the first scene, however it does not in the second. I am wondering for every scene do the event listeners need to be resetup? If that is the case if their an event listener to listen for the change in scene, so i can set them back up again lol.. • What would be the equivalent VB.NET code for this C# FluentNHibernate component mapping?

  I'm a C# programmer constrained to write VB.NET code. While exploring NHibernate further for my current client, I encountered FluentNHibernate, which I find real attractive. But now, I wonder how to "translate" this C# code for component mapping into VB.NET code: Component(x => x.Address, m => { m.Map(x => x.Number); m.Map(x => x.Street); m.Map(x => x.PostCode); }); I know from here: Component(Of Client)(Function(c) c.Address, ...) what I miss is how to continue with the brackets in VB.NET, since there's no Begin End keywords or so. EDIT 1: Following Mr. JaredPar instructions, I figured that his solution might work. If we take the time to read his answer, we may notice that we both don't know what the MType is within his solution. I might have found out that the MType is: FluentNHibernate.Mapping.ComponentPart(Of TComponent) Thus, TComponent is, from my understanding, an anonymous type that I shall parameter to use. From this point of view, since I wish to map the properties of my Address object, replacing TComponent in my help method signature seems not to work.   I have a signal and this signal is a bitvector. The length of the bitvector depends on an input n, it is not fixed. In order to find the length, I have to do some computations. Can I define a signal after defining the variables ? It is ggiving me errors when I do that. It is working fine If I keep the signal before the variables .. but I don't want that .. the length of Z depends on the computations of the variables. • Getter and Setter vs. Builder strategy

  I was reading a JavaWorld's article on Getter and Setter where the basic premise is that getters expose internal content of an object, hence tightening coupling, and go on to provide examples using builder objects. I was rather leery of abolishing getter/setter but on second reading of the article, see to quite like the idea. However, sometimes I just need one cruical element of an entity class, such as the user's id and writing one whole class just to extract that cruical element seems like overkill. It also implies that for different view, a different type of importer/exporter must be implemented (or the whole data of the class to be exported out, thus resulting in waste). Usually I tend towards filtering the result of a getter - for example, if I need to output the price of a product in different currency, I would code it as: return CurrencyOutput::convertTo($product->price(), 'USD'); This is with the understanding that the raw output of a getter is not necessary the final result to be pushed onto a screen or a database. Is getter/setter really as bad as it is protrayed to be? When should one adopt a builder strategy, or a 'get the result and filter it' approach? How do you avoid having a class needing to know about every other objects if you are not using getter/setter?

• How to arrange business logic in a Kohana 3 project

  I'm looking for advice, tutorials and links at how to set up a mid-sized web application with Kohana 3. I have implemented MVC patterns in the past but never worked against a "formalized" MVC framework so I'm still getting my head around the terminology - toying around with basic examples, building views and templates, and so on. I'm progressing fairly well but I want to set up a real-world web project (one of my own that I've been planning for quite some time now) as a learning object. I learn best by example, but example-based documentation is a bit sparse for Kohana 3 right now - they say so themselves on the site. While I'm not worried about learning the framework as I go along, I want to make sure the code base is healthily structured from the start - i.e. controllers are split nicely, named well and according to standards, and most importantly the business logic is separated into appropriately sized models. My application could, in its core, be described as a business directory with a range of search and listing functions, and a login area for each entry owner. The actual administrative database backend is already taken care of. Supposing I have all the API worked out and in place already - list all businesses, edit business, list businesses by street name, create offer logged in as business, and so on, and I'm just looking for how to fit the functionality into a MVC pattern and into a Kohana application structure that can be easily extended. Do you know real-life examples of "database-heavy" applications like directories, online communities... with a log-in area built on Kohana 3, preferably Open Source so I could take a peek how they do it? Are there conventions or best practices on how to structure an extendable login area for end users in a Kohana project that is not only able to handle a business directory page, but further products on separate pages as well? Do you know any good resources on building complex applications with Kohana? Have you built something similar and could give me recommendations on a project structure?
