I am programming in C, using the Windows API, and would like to know how I could draw separators.
I'm a total noob when it comes to writing GUI applications, so I may need a code example.
I've a question about using sqlSave. How maps RODBC data in the data frame to the database table columns?
If I've a table with columns X and Y and a data frame with columns X and Y, RODBC puts X into X and Y into Y (I found out by trail-and-error). But can I explicitly tell R how to map data.frame columns to database table columns, like put A in X and B in Y.
I'm rather new to R and think the RODBC manual is a bit cryptic. Nor can I find an example on the internet.
I have a realy hard task here. I am working on an AngularJS web app, which is capable of sending different HTTP methods to our project's Restful Web Service and receiving responses in JSON. Basicaly it looks like this:
You can create some REST resource from this application. Let's say an exam. To create an exam - you pick a resource from a list of available resources. This triggers a function, that sends a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/resorceName and gets a description for this resource. Description looks like this:
http://jsonblob.com/534fc022e4b0bb44248d6460
After receiving a response - I start building input fields like follows (allFields - array of field objects for this resource, enumValues - enum values for resource's field if it's property isEnum = true):
<div ng-repeat="field in allFields">
<div ng-show={{!field.isEnum}}>
<p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p>
<p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p>
<input type="text" ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()"
class="form-control" placeholder="{{parseClassName(field.type)}}">
</div>
<div ng-show={{field.isEnum}}>
<p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p>
<p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p>
<select ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control">
<option></option>
<option ng-repeat="enumValue in field.enumValues" label={{enumValue.name}}>{{enumValue.ordinal}}</option>
</select>
</div>
</div>
Now, the problem. I need to create a recursive directive, which would be capable of generating fields in such maner as described above for every resource's field that has "restResourceName" not null. To get all it's fields you just send a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/restResourceName and get similar JSON response as shown above, which is then used to build HTML elements for inputing values into model.
Does anyone know how this can be achieved using angular recursive directive? Every useful answer is highly appreciated and evaluated. The correct answer will get +50 or I will start a bounty, because I'm realy stuck with this for 2 days.
If you need any additional info - let me know.
Thank you.
Am using google app engine with eclipse IDE and trying to upload a audio file. I used the File Upload in Google App Engine For Java and can able to upload the file successfully. Now am planning to use REST web service for it. I had analyzed in developers.google but i failed. Can anyone suggest me how to implement REST Web services in google app engine using Eclipse.
The code google provided is shown below,
// file Upload.java
public class Upload extends HttpServlet {
private BlobstoreService blobstoreService = BlobstoreServiceFactory.getBlobstoreService();
public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
throws ServletException, IOException {
Map<String, BlobKey> blobs = blobstoreService.getUploadedBlobs(req);
BlobKey blobKey = blobs.get("myFile");
if (blobKey == null) {
res.sendRedirect("/");
} else {
res.sendRedirect("/serve?blob-key=" + blobKey.getKeyString());
}}}
// file Serve.java
public class Serve extends HttpServlet {
private BlobstoreService blobstoreService = BlobstoreServiceFactory.getBlobstoreService();
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
throws IOException {
BlobKey blobKey = new BlobKey(req.getParameter("blob-key"));
blobstoreService.serve(blobKey, res);
}}
// file index.jsp
<%@ page import="com.google.appengine.api.blobstore.BlobstoreServiceFactory" %>
<%@ page import="com.google.appengine.api.blobstore.BlobstoreService" %>
<% BlobstoreService blobstoreService = BlobstoreServiceFactory.getBlobstoreService(); %>
<form action="<%= blobstoreService.createUploadUrl("/upload") %>" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="myFile">
<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>
// web.xml
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Upload</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>Upload</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Serve</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>Serve</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Upload</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/upload</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Serve</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/serve</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Now how to provide a rest web service for the above code. Kindly suggest me an idea.

Hi,
I'm wondering if someone knows how to store an array into a user session?
This is the method to store a single attribute:
$this->getUser()->setAttribute('something', $something);
And the documentation says:
"User attributes can store any type of data (strings, arrays, and associative arrays)"
... but doesn't say anything more. The API documentation doesn't have a "SetAttributes" or something similarly obvious.
Thank you.
I have ldap_sasl_bind_s() working fine with SSL and client cert (without DN and password) from 'C' windows program.
When I call ldap_sasl_bind_s() using SSL, DN and password (no client cert) it throws null pointer exception. Should this work or should I be using another api call?
I've read about this a lot and I just can't figure it out. It has nothing to do with MY code, it has to do with the feed or something because if I swap it with a Twitter feed it returns an Object object which is perfect.
$.getJSON('http://rockbottom.nozzlmedia.com:8000/api/portland/?count=1&callback=?',function(json){
console.log(json)
});
And i get an "invalid label" error. Any ideas?
I have data structured in Binary tree format, i want to represent it into an image(*. jpeg) then i need to display that image on web page and all the data will come @ runtime, so image processing should be done @ runtime, how to do this ?
This is what my thought solution any other suitable solution are also welcomed,
web site is in .NET , i am thinking to produce image using java api then integrate it to .NET wither through WEB-SERVICE call or any other solutions are also welcomed.
Heroku allows you to add and remove dynos and workers on the fly and charges you per second that each is used. Is it possible to set up my app so that it can add/remove dynos and workers from itself depending on the load it's under?
This paragraph on Heroku.com mentions an API, but I can't find out much more about it.

I have database with oracle number type. Could there any possible issues with using java Double when updating table with numeric column. Should i switch BigDecimal or Double is approriate type.
As I fas as I know, BigDecimal is used when arbitrary precision required, when deal with prices for example.
Consider simple API updatePrice(Double d) Should i persist double as is or BigDecimal.valueOf(d) is preferable ?
Hi Every One,
I am developing an application on fireeagle, there i need to update the users exact location, with out asking any information from the user (i.e) lat, long e.t.c.,
If it is not possible using yahoo fireeagle, please let me know if there exists any other api's other than yahoo fireeagle. If they can get the exact location of web user in 'Lat' and 'Long', either from 'Pc' or from 'Mobile' browser.
Thanks in advance.
I put my questions in the code comments for clarity:
from piston.handler import AnonymousBaseHandler
class AnonymousAPITest(AnonymousBaseHandler):
fields = ('update_subscription',)
def update_subscription(self, request, months):
# Do some stuff here to update a subscription based on the
# number of months provided.
# How the heck can I call this method?
return {'msg': 'Your subscription has been updated!'}
def read(self, request):
return {
'msg': 'Why would I need a read() method on a fully custom API?'
}

I have several forum servers (what they are is irrelevant) which stores posts from users and I want to be able to partition requests among these servers. I'm currently leaning towards partitioning them by geographic location. To improve the locality of data, users will be separated into regions e.g. North America, South America and so on.
Is there any design pattern on how to implement the function that maps the partioning property to the server, so that this piece of code has high availability and would not become a single point of failure ?
f( Region ) -> Server IP
I want to create some sort of method of creating a web service that will run automatically and run DB queries and some API calls which will then store data that I can use/call without taking the processing or time penalty of doing it every time a user access my web service. Is this possible? If so, point me in the right direction on how to implement something like this
Using vb.net and ASP.net
Thanks in advance!!
What is the best way for an SWT application to clean up resources before application exit? I see two options:
1) Add a DisposeListener to main window (or better, to the Display). Will it get run if an uncaught exception happens?
2) Use a shutdown hook. Any problems to be aware of there which aren't mentioned in Design of the Shutdown Hooks API?
Machine tags are more precise tags: http://www.flickr.com/groups/api/discuss/72157594497877875. They allow a user to basically tag anything as an object in the format
object:property=value
Any tips on a rdbms schema that implements this? Just wondering if anyone
has already dabbled with this. I imagine the schema is quite similar to implementing
rdf triples in a rdbms
I have a Treeview (bog standard ASP.Net Treeview) that is bound to an Xml source which allows the user to navigate to various parts of our system. Nothing special....
However, I wanted to generate a breadcrumb for use in the main content area on the client side when the user clicks a node in the Treeview control. I know there are mechanisms available for breadcrumb generation (such as site maps) but for various reasons I need to do it when a node is clicked.
So far hooking up a click event using the document ready function available as part of jQuery is easy. However, having spent sometime looking I can not see how I navigate back up the tree nodes to get to each parent nodes text value to build the breadcrumb. I have been playing with .parent(), .parents() and .closest() available via jQuery but don't seem to be getting anywhere.
Has anyone done anything like this or can anyone provide a better method?
Thanks in advance....
Hello Experts,
Our organization uses IBM FileNet as document management system. FileNet P8 comes with a web services API which can be used in .net
Has anyone of you guys tried this? If yes could you please direct me to any resources to kick start?
Thanks a ton in advance.
I know that under Windows, there are API functions like global_alloc() and such, which allocate memory, and return a handle, then this handle can be locked and a pointer returned, then unlocked again. When unlocked, the system can move this piece of memory around when it runs low on space, optimising memory usage.
My question is that is there something similar under Linux, and if not, how does Linux optimize its memory usage?
