    - by Abhi
    date value 18/5/2010, 1 pm 40 18/5/2010, 2 pm 20 18/5/2010, 3 pm 60 18/5/2010, 4 pm 30 18/5/2010, 5 pm 60 18/5/2010, 6 pm 25 i need to query for the row having max(value)(i.e. 60).   • Each request takes 25-30 sec for Google Analytics API?

    - by SODA
    I'm using GAPI library (in PHP) for querying Google Analytics API. I request 2 dimensions (pagePath, date), 2 metric (pageviews, visits), past 365 days time range, and 2 filters for pagePath. Average time to get data for one query is 25-30 sec. When I use only 1 metric (pageviews), average response time is 3 sec. Why would there be such a difference when using 1 or 2 metrics?

  • How do I write JPA QL statements that hints to the runtime to use the DEFAULT value ?

    - by Jacques René Mesrine
    I have a table like so: mysql> show create table foo; CREATE TABLE foo ( network bigint NOT NULL, activeDate datetime NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', ... ) In the domain object, FooVO the activeDate member is annotated as Temporal. If I don't set activeDate to a valid Date instance, a new record is inserted with NULLs. I want the default value to take effect if I don't set the activeDate member. Thanks.

  • perl dancer: passing database info to template

    - by Bubnoff
    Following Dancer tutorial here: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Dancer/lib/Dancer/Tutorial.pod I'm using my own sqlite3 database with this schema CREATE TABLE if not exists location (location_code TEXT PRIMARY KEY, name TEXT, stations INTEGER); CREATE TABLE if not exists session (id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, date TEXT, sessions INTEGER, location_code TEXT, FOREIGN KEY(location_code) REFERENCES location(location_code)); My dancer code ( helloWorld.pm ) for the database: package helloWorld; use Dancer; use DBI; use File::Spec; use File::Slurp; use Template; our $VERSION = '0.1'; set 'template' => 'template_toolkit'; set 'logger' => 'console'; my $base_dir = qq(/home/automation/scripts/Area51/perl/dancer); # database crap sub connect_db { my $db = qw(/home/automation/scripts/Area51/perl/dancer/sessions.sqlite); my $dbh = DBI->connect("dbi:SQLite:dbname=$db", "", "", { RaiseError => 1, AutoCommit => 1 }); return $dbh; } sub init_db { my $db = connect_db(); my $file = qq($base_dir/schema.sql); my $schema = read_file($file); $db->do($schema) or die $db->errstr; } get '/' => sub { my $branch_code = qq(BPT); my $dbh = connect_db(); my $sql = q(SELECT * FROM session); my $sth = $dbh->prepare($sql) or die $dbh->errstr; $sth->execute or die $dbh->errstr; my $key_field = q(id); template 'show_entries.tt', { 'branch' => $branch_code, 'data' => $sth->fetchall_hashref($key_field), }; }; init_db(); true; Tried the example template on the site, doesn't work. <% FOREACH id IN data.keys.nsort %> <li>Date is: <% data.$id.sessions %> </li> <% END %> Produces page but with no data. How do I troubleshoot this as no clues come up in the console/cli? Thanks Bubnoff

  • Significant new inventions in computing since 1980

    - by Alan Kay
    This question arose from comments about different kinds of progress in computing over the last 50 years or so. I was asked by some of the other participants to raise it as a question to the whole forum. Basic idea here is not to bash the current state of things but to try to understand something about the progress of coming up with fundamental new ideas and principles. I claim that we need really new ideas in most areas of computing, and I would like to know of any important and powerful ones that have been done recently. If we can't really find them, then we should ask "Why?" and "What should we be doing?"

  • sending control+c (SIGINT) to NSPIPE in objective-c

    - by Ron
    Hello, I am trying to terminate an openvpn task, spawned via NSTask. My question: Should I send ctrl+c (SIGINT) to the input NSPipe for my NSTask? inputPipe = [NSPipe pipe]; taskInput = [inputPipe fileHandleForWriting]; NSString dataString = @"\cC"; [taskInput writeData:[dataString dataUsingEncoding: [NSString defaultCStringEncoding]]]; Alternatively, I was thinking about using kill( pid, SIGINT ); but it would be much more complicated since the process ID has to be determined via a detour ([task processIdentifier] does not help here) - the original NSTask calls: /bin/bash -c sudo -S | mypassword .... That's not nice, I know but it is only called once and the sudo password has been entered in that case already. thanks for any suggestions/opinions/etc. Ron

  • VSTS 2008 Database Edition doesn't seem to know 'DATEADD' constants, any ideas?

    - by Marcel Marchon
    I'm trying to implement a database build using VSTS 2008 Database Edition. The build always fails on the following constraint: ALTER TABLE [dbo].[tablename] ADD CONSTRAINT [DF_tablename_date] DEFAULT (CONVERT([varchar],dateadd(hour,(-1),getdate()),(1))) FOR [date]; The error that it shows is the following: TSD03082: The name "hour" is not permitted in this context. Valid expressions are constants, constant expressions, and (in some contexts) variables. Column names are not permitted. Anybody have an idea what is wrong here?

  • Saving current directory to zsh history

    - by user130208
    I wanted to achieve the same as asked here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/945288/saving-current-directory-to-bash-history but within zsh shell. I haven't done any zsh trickry before but so far I have: function precmd { hpwd=$history[$((HISTCMD-1))] if [[ $hpwd == "cd" ]]; then cwd=$OLDPWD else cwd=$PWD fi hpwd="${hpwd% ### *} ### $cwd" echo "$hpwd" ~/.hist_log } Right now I save the command annotated with the directory name to a log file. This works fine for me. Just thought there might be a way to make replacement in the history buffer itself.

  • Color image swap javascript not working in IE7

    - by Lauren
    To test, you'd have to log in to the example page here: http://www.avaline.com /Drinkware/Sport-Water-Bottles/Monterey-DAB20 From there, the Color drop-down swaps out the right color images in IE8, FF3.6(the latest), Chrome4.1(up to date), but not in IE7. I don't get it...but I'm plugging along trying to debug it with visual studio.

  • SQL to join to the best matching row

    - by williamjones
    I have a wiki system where there is a central table, Article, that has many Revisions in their own table. The Revisions each contain a created_at time and date column. I want to update the Articles to contain a denormalized field sort_name from the most recent Revision's name field. What SQL command can I issue to fill in each Article's sort_name field with its most recent Revision's name field? For what it's worth, I'm on PostgreSQL.

  • Globbing with MinGW on Windows

    - by Neil Butterworth
    I have an application built with the MinGW C++ compiler that works something like grep - acommand looks something like this: myapp -e '.*' *.txt where the thing that comes after the -e switch is a regex, and the thing after that is file name pattern. It seems that MinGW automatically expands (globs in UNIX terms) the command line so my regex gets mangled. I can turn this behaviour off, I discovered, by setting the global variable _CRT_glob to zero. This will be fine for bash and other sensible shell users, as the shell will expand the file pattern. For MS cmd.exe users however, it looks like I will have to expand the file pattern myself. So my question - does anyone know of a globbing library (or facility in MinGW) to do partial command line expansion? I'm aware of the _setargv feature of the Windows CRT, but that expands the full command line. Please note I've seen this question, but it really does not address partial expansion.

  • Instagram API and Zend/Loader.php

    - by Jaemin Kim
    I want to use Instagram API and I found this code. <html> <head></head> <body> <h1>Popular on Instagram</h1> <?php // load Zend classes require_once 'Zend/Loader.php'; Zend_Loader::loadClass('Zend_Http_Client'); // define consumer key and secret // available from Instagram API console $CLIENT_ID = 'YOUR-CLIENT-ID'; $CLIENT_SECRET = 'YOUR-CLIENT-SECRET'; try { // initialize client $client = new Zend_Http_Client('https://api.instagram.com/v1/media/popular'); $client->setParameterGet('client_id', $CLIENT_ID); // get popular images // transmit request and decode response $response = $client->request(); $result = json_decode($response->getBody()); // display images $data = $result->data; if (count($data) > 0) { echo '<ul>'; foreach ($data as $item) { echo '<li style="display: inline-block; padding: 25px"><a href="' . $item->link . '"><img src="' . $item->images->thumbnail->url . '" /></a> <br/>'; echo 'By: <em>' . $item->user->username . '</em> <br/>'; echo 'Date: ' . date ('d M Y h:i:s', $item->created_time) . '<br/>'; echo $item->comments->count . ' comment(s). ' . $item->likes->count . ' likes. </li>'; } echo '</ul>'; } } catch (Exception $e) { echo 'ERROR: ' . $e->getMessage() . print_r($client); exit; } ?> </body> </html> In here, I found Zender/Load.php, and I've never heard about that. Is it okay to go http://www.zend.com/en/products/guard/downloads here, and download Zend for linux?? And for another question, is this code available to use Instagram API?? For last, could you let me know that is there any simple code to use Instagram API? Thank you.

  • Mapping of interconnection with nhibernate

    - by Mauro Destro
    I have to describe interconnection between objects. public class Entity { public string Name {get;set;} public IList<Entity> Connections {get;set;} } How can i persist this? I add another layer of complexity: querying on a specific date a connection between two entities can't be already defined. So probably I need a support table that contain a structure like Id, Source, Destination, ValidFrom, ValidUntil Mauro

  • Rails: How do I unserialize from database?

    - by Macint
    Hello, I am currently trying to save information for an invoice/bill. On the invoice I want to show what the total price is made up of. The procedures & items, their price and the qty. So in the end I hope to get it to look like this: Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] etc... All this information is available through the database but i want to save the information as a separate copy. That way if the user changes the price of some procedures the invoice information is still correct. I thought i'd do this by serializing and save the data to a column (consult_data) in the Invoice table. My Model: class Invoice < ActiveRecord::Base ...stuff... serialize :consult_data ... end This is what I get from the form (1 consult and 3 procedures): {"commit"=>"Save draft", "authenticity_token"=>"MZ1OiOCtj/BOu73eVVkolZBWoN8Fy1skHqKgih7Sbzw=", "id"=>"113", "consults"=>[{"consult_date"=>"2010-02-20", "consult_problem"=>"ABC", "procedures"=>[{"name"=>"asdasdasd", "price"=>"2.0", "qty"=>"1"}, {"name"=>"AAAnd another one", "price"=>"45.0", "qty"=>"4"}, {"name"=>"asdasdasd", "price"=>"2.0", "qty"=>"1"}], "consult_id"=>"1"}]} My save action: def add_to_invoice @invoice = @current_practice.invoices.find_by_id(params[:id]) @invoice.consult_data=params[:consults] if @invoice.save render :text => "I think it worked" else render :text => "I don't think it worked'" end end It does save to the database and if I look at the entry in the console I can see that it is all there: consult_data: "--- \n- !map:HashWithIndifferentAccess \n consult_da..." (---The question---) But I can't seam to get back my data. I tried defining a variable to the consult_data attribute and then doing "variable.consult_problem" or "variable[:consult_problem]" (also tried looping) but it only throws no-method-errors back at me. How do I unserialize the data from the database and turn it back into hash that i can use? Thank you very much for any help!
