• Unpredictable CCK field name in returned View data

    - by AK
    I'm using views_get_view_result to directly access the data in a view. I've stumbled upon this odd behavior where cck fields are prefixed with the first field name as a query optimization. Explained here. What's bizarre though is that fields are named differently depending on whether I retrieve that data as Anonymous or as Admin. I'm pretty sure all my permissions are set up, and the view itself has no restrictions. What is going on here? This is a big problem since I can't know how to retrieve a field. Here's a dump of the two view results. Notice that node_data_field_game_date_field_game_home_score_value != node_data_field_game_official_field_game_home_score_value. // View as Admin stdClass Object ( [nid] => 3191 [node_data_field_game_date_field_game_date_value] => 2010-03-27T00:00:00 [node_type] => game [node_vid] => 5039 [node_data_field_game_date_field_game_official_value] => 0 [node_node_data_field_game_home_team_title] => TeamA [node_node_data_field_game_home_team_nid] => 3396 [node_data_field_game_date_field_game_home_score_value] => 68 [node_node_data_field_game_visitor_team_title] => TeamB [node_node_data_field_game_visitor_team_nid] => 3442 [node_data_field_game_date_field_game_visitor_score_value] => 118 ) // View as Anonymous stdClass Object ( [nid] => 3191 [node_data_field_game_date_field_game_date_value] => 2010-03-27T00:00:00 [node_type] => game [node_vid] => 5039 [node_data_field_game_official_field_game_official_value] => 0 [node_node_data_field_game_home_team_title] => TeamA [node_node_data_field_game_home_team_nid] => 3396 [node_data_field_game_official_field_game_home_score_value] => 68 [node_node_data_field_game_visitor_team_title] => TeamB [node_node_data_field_game_visitor_team_nid] => 3442 [node_data_field_game_official_field_game_visitor_score_value] => 118 )

  • Why is this Java Calendar comparison bad?

    - by joe7pak
    Hello folks. I'm having an inexplicable problem with the Java Calendar class when I'm trying to compare to dates. I'm trying to compare to Calendars and determine if their difference is than 1 day, and do things bases on that difference or not. But it doesn't work. If I do this with the two dates: String currDate = aCurrentUTCCalendar.getTime().toString(); String localDate = aLocalCalendar.getTime().toString(); I get these results: currDate = "Thu Jan 06 05:58:00 MST 2010" localDate = "Tue Jan 05 00:02:00 MST 2010" This is correct. But if I do this: long curr = aCurrentUTCCalendar.getTime().getTime(); long local = aLocalCalendar.getTime().getTime(); I get these results: ( in milliseconds since the epoch ) curr = -125566110120000 local = 1262674920000 Since there is only about a 30 hour different between the two, the magnitudes are vastly different, not to mention that annoying negative sign. This causes problems if I do this: long day = 60 * 60 * 24 * 1000; // 86400000 millis, one day if( local - curr > day ) { // do something } What's wrong? Why are the getTime().toString() calls correct, but the getTime().getTime() calls are vastly different? I'm using jdk 1.6_06 on WinXP. I can't upgrade the JDK for various reasons.

  • LINQ-to-XML Error "is not a member of 'String'"

    - by mmcglynn
    The following code returns the error from the For Each loop. I have similar code that does not return the error. • Total Average Week using a Parameter

    - by Jose
    I have a crystal report that shows sales volumes called week to date volume. It shows current week, previous week, and average week. The report prompts for a date parameter and I extract the week number to get current week and previous week volumes. Did it this way because Mngmt wants to be able to run report whenever. My problem is for Average Week I cant figure out how to get the number of weeks to divide by for my average. Report originates from June 1st, 2010. Right now I have: DATEPART("ww", {?date}) - DATEPART("ww", DATE(2010, 6, 1)) This returns 2 right now which is perfect, so i divide my total by 2. This code will work until the end of the year then I'm hooped. Any idea how I can make this a little more dynamic. I was thinking a counter somehow, just can't get the logic down because the date parameter will keep changing, meaning I cant increase my counter by 1 after each week??? Cheers.

  • How to save XML file before update?

    - by Robert Iagar
    Right so I have a simple app that consists of a calendar a Set Event button and list box that populates using a DataTemplate in WPF. When I build the app the Events.xml file is like this:  <events> </events> I add events to xml through code. Final structure of the xml file is the following  <events> <event Name="Some Name"> <startDate>20.03.2010</startDate> <endDate>29.03.2010</endDate> </event> </event> Now here's my problem. If I update the app and deploy it with Click Once and the app updates it self, I lose the list because the new file is empty. Any workaround this? Here's how I add the Data: var xDocument = XDocument.Load(@"Data\Events.xml"); xDocument.Root.Add(new XElement("event", new XAttribute("name", event.Name), new XElement("startDate", startDate), new XElement("endDate", endDate) ) ); xDocument.Save(@"Data\Events.xml");

  • Can this be done using LINQ/Lambda, C#3.0

    - by Newbie
    Objective: Generate dates based on Week Numbers Input: StartDate, WeekNumber Output: List of dates from the Week number specified till the StartDate i.e. If startdate is 23rd April, 2010 and the week number is 1, then the program should return the dates from 16th April, 2010 till the startddate. The function public List<DateTime> GetDates(DateTime startDate,int weeks) { List<DateTime> dt = new List<DateTime>(); int days = weeks * 7; DateTime endDate = startDate.AddDays(-days); TimeSpan ts = startDate.Subtract(endDate); for (int i = 0; i <= ts.Days; i++) { DateTime dt1 = endDate.AddDays(i); dt.Add(dt1); } return dt; } I am calling this function as DateTime StartDate = DateTime.ParseExact("20100423", "yyyyMMdd", System.Globalization.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); List<DateTime> dtList = GetDates(StartDate, 1); The program is working fine. Question is using C# 3.0 feature like Linq, Lambda etc. can I rewrite the program. Why? Because I am learning linq and lambda and want to implement the same. But as of now the knowledge is not sufficient to do the same by myself. Thanks.

  • CodeIgniter: problem using foreach in view

    - by krike
    I have a model and controller who gets some data from my database and returns the following array Array ( [2010] => Array ( [year] => 2010 [months] => Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [sales] => 2 [month] => Apr ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [sales] => 1 [month] => Nov ) ) ) [2011] => Array ( [year] => 2011 [months] => Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [sales] => 1 [month] => Nov ) ) ) ) It shows exactly what it should show but the key's have different names so I have no idea on how to loop through the years using foreach in my view. Arrays is something I'm not that good at yet :( this is the controller if you need to know: function analytics() { $this->load->model('admin_model'); $analytics = $this->admin_model->Analytics(); foreach ($analytics as $a): $data[$a->year]['year'] = $a->year; $data[$a->year]['months'] = $this->admin_model->AnalyticsMonth($a->year); endforeach; echo"
"; print_r($data); echo"
"; $data['main_content'] = 'analytics'; $this->load->view('template_admin', $data); }//end of function categories()

  • Check if date is allowed weekday in php?

    - by moogeek
    Hello! I'm stuck with a problem how to check if a specific date is within allowed weekdays array in php. For example, function dateIsAllowedWeekday($_date,$_allowed) { if ((isDate($_date)) && (($_allowed!="null") && ($_allowed!=null))){ $allowed_weekdays=json_decode($_allowed); $weekdays=array(); foreach($allowed_weekdays as $wd){ $weekday=date("l",date("w",strtotime($wd))); array_push($weekdays,$weekday); } if(in_array(date("l",strtotime($_date)),$weekdays)){return TRUE;} else {return FALSE;} } else {return FALSE;} } ///////////////////////////// $date="21.05.2010"; $wd="[0,1,2]"; if(dateIsAllowedWeekday($date,$wd)){echo "$date is within $wd weekday values!";} else{echo "$date isn't within $wd weekday values!"} I have input dates formatted as "d.m.Y" and an array returned from database with weekday numbers (formatted as 'Numeric representation of the day of the week') like [0,1,2] - (Sunday,Monday,Tuesday). The returned string from database can be "null", so i check it too. Them, the isDate function checks whether date is a date and it is ok. I want to check if my date, for example 21.05.2010 is an allowed weekday in this array. My function always returns TRUE and somehow weekday is always 'Thursday' and i don't know why... Is there any other ways to check this or what can be my error in the code above? thx

  • Contrary to Python 3.1 Docs, hash(obj) != id(obj). So which is correct?

    - by Don O'Donnell
    The following is from the Python v3.1.2 documentation: From The Python Language Reference Section 3.3.1 Basic Customization: object.__hash__(self) ... User-defined classes have __eq__() and __hash__() methods by default; with them, all objects compare unequal (except with themselves) and x.__hash__() returns id(x). From The Glossary: hashable ... Objects which are instances of user-defined classes are hashable by default; they all compare unequal, and their hash value is their id(). This is true up through version 2.6.5: Python 2.6.5 (r265:79096, Mar 19 2010 21:48:26) ... ... >>> class C(object): pass ... >>> c = C() >>> id(c) 11335856 >>> hash(c) 11335856 But in version 3.1.2: Python 3.1.2 (r312:79149, Mar 21 2010, 00:41:52) ... ... >>> class C: pass ... >>> c = C() >>> id(c) 11893680 >>> hash(c) 743355 So which is it? Should I report a documentation bug or a program bug? And if it's a documentation bug, and the default hash() value for a user class instance is no longer the same as the id() value, then it would be interesting to know what it is or how it is calculated, and why it was changed in version 3.

  • Trouble parsing self closing XML tags using SAX parser

    - by sandesh
    Hi, I am having trouble parsing self closing XML tags using SAX. I am trying to extract the link tag from the Google Base API.I am having reasonable success in parsing regular tags. Here is a snippet of the xml

En-el1 Li-ion Battery+charger For Nikon Digital Camera

. . and so on I can parse the updates and published tags, but not the link and category tag. Here is my startElement and endElement overrides public void startElement(String uri, String localName, String qName, Attributes attributes) throws SAXException { if (qName.equals("title") && xmlTags.peek().equals("entry")) { insideEntryTitle = true; } xmlTags.push(qName); } public void endElement(String uri, String localName, String qName) throws SAXException { // If a "title" element is closed, we start a new line, to prepare // printing the new title. xmlTags.pop(); if (insideEntryTitle) { insideEntryTitle = false; System.out.println(); } } declaration for xmltags.. private Stack<String> xmlTags = new Stack<String>(); Any help guys? this is my first post here.. • Approaching Java from a Ruby perspective

    - by Travis
    There are plenty of resources available to a Java developer for getting a jump-start into Ruby/Rails development. The reverse doesn't appear to be true. What resources would you suggest for getting up-to-date on the current state of java technologies? How about learning how to approach DRY (don't repeat yourself) without the use of metaprogramming? Or how to approach various scenarios where a ruby developer is used to passing in a function (proc/lambda/block) as an argument (callbacks, etc)?

  • vb.net project template how can I leave the root namesapce empty

    - by Wietze Veld
    I have been tinkering with the VS 2010 template. So far I am able to create a vb.net class library project from my template. However, one small thing is bugging me. In my project template the default assembly name is the same as the default file name. I have left the root namespace empty. But when I create a new project from the template, VS 2010 automatically fills the root namespace with the same name as my assembly name. My template project (vbproj) for the assembly name and root namespace looks like this: <AssemblyName>$safeprojectname$</AssemblyName> <RootNamespace></RootNamespace> But as said, when I leave this empty it is always overwritten with the assembly name. Even if I create a custom parameter with an empty string as value to replace the root namespace, it is still overridden. Any help is appreciated.

  • StreamReader not working as expected

    - by Jon Preece
    Hi, I have written a simple utility that loops through all C# files in my project and updates the copyright text at the top. For example, a file may look like this; //Copyright My Company, © 2009-2010 The program should update the text to look like this; //Copyright My Company, © 2009-2010 However, the code I have written results in this; //Copyright My Company, 2009-2011 Here is the code I am using; public bool ModifyFile(string filePath, List<string> targetText, string replacementText) { if (!File.Exists(filePath)) return false; if (targetText == null || targetText.Count == 0) return false; if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(replacementText)) return false; string modifiedFileContent = string.Empty; bool hasContentChanged = false; //Read in the file content using (StreamReader reader = File.OpenText(filePath)) { string file = reader.ReadToEnd(); //Replace any target text with the replacement text foreach (string text in targetText) modifiedFileContent = file.Replace(text, replacementText); if (!file.Equals(modifiedFileContent)) hasContentChanged = true; } //If we haven't modified the file, dont bother saving it if (!hasContentChanged) return false; //Write the modifications back to the file using (StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(filePath)) { writer.Write(modifiedFileContent); } return true; } Any help/suggestions are appreciated. • Ajax request not receiving xml from Django

    - by amougeot
    I have a Django server which handles requests to a URL which will return some HTML for use in an image gallery. I can navigate to the URL and the browser will display the HTML that is returned, but I can't get that same HTML by doing an AJAX call (using jQuery) to the same URL. This is the view that generates the response: def gallery_images(request, gallery_name): return render_to_response('galleryimages.html', {'images': get_images_of_gallery(gallery_name)}, mimetype='text/xml') This is the 'galleryimages.html' template: {% for image in images %}

{{image.caption|safe}}

{% endfor %} This is the jQuery call I am making: $("#allImages").load("http://localhost:8000/galleryimages/Web"); However, this loads nothing into my #allImages div. I've used firebug and ran jQuery's Ajax method .get("http://localhost:8000/galleryimages/Web") and firebug says that the response text is completely empty. When I check my Django server log, this is the entry I see for when I navigate to the URL manually, through my browser: [16/Jan/2010 17:34:10] "GET /galleryimages/Web HTTP/1.1" 200 215 This is the entry in the server log for when I make the AJAX call: [16/Jan/2010 17:36:19] "OPTIONS /galleryimages/Web HTTP/1.1" 200 215 Why does the AJAX request not get the xml that my Django page is serving?

  • Developers portfolios

    I'm wondering if you have one, or u know any developer/programmer online portofolio. I know many web developers have one (and in many cases very well designed), but not any C++ developer (for example). On the net there are only some good blogs about some programming language, but in many cases these are extremely poor from a design point of view and i'd say very "nerdy".

  • Changes in Access DB are not saved since updating to Windows 7

    - by ytoledano
    Hi I'm working with a program that accesses an MS-Access DB. The problem is that if I open the db file with Access, the values I see aren't the values I see when I'm using the program. For example, There is a table PARAMS with various program variables, one of them is the date I last loaded a certain file. In access it reads April 12th 2010, while in the program it reads May 7th 2010 (this is correct). April 12th is about the time I upgraded the computer to Windows 7. Also, the mdb file sits next to the program executable in C:\Program Files (x86); and I know that Win7 doesn't allow programs to write to the program files dir. So where are the changes saved? What I've tried: I've tried opening the mdb file on another computer - still reads the wrong (old) values I've tried copying the entire program dir to a different folder - now both the program and ms-access read the wrong values. Can someone tell me how to get a version of the DB with all the values up to date with the program? Thanks.

  • RIA Service/oData ... "Requests that attempt to access a single element using key values from a resu

    I've recently started working up a sample project to play with an oData feed coming from a RIA service. I am able to view the feed and the metadata via any web browser, however, if I try to perform certain query operations on the feed I receive "unsupported" exceptions. I'm new to RIA and oData. Could this be something as simple as my web browsers not supporting this type of querying on the result set or something else? Thanks ahead! Corey

  • LINQ: display results from empty lists

    - by Douglas H. M.
    I've created two entities (simplified) in C#: class Log { entries = new List
(); DateTime Date { get; set; } IList
entries { get; set; } } class Entry { DateTime ClockIn { get; set; } DateTime ClockOut { get; set; } } I am using the following code to initialize the objects: Log log1 = new Log() { Date = new DateTime(2010, 1, 1), }; log1.Entries.Add(new Entry() { ClockIn = new DateTime(0001, 1, 1, 9, 0, 0), ClockOut = new DateTime(0001, 1, 1, 12, 0, 0) }); Log log2 = new Log() { Date = new DateTime(2010, 2, 1), }; The method below is used to get the date logs: var query = from l in DB.GetLogs() from e in l.Entries orderby l.Date ascending select new { Date = l.Date, ClockIn = e.ClockIn, ClockOut = e.ClockOut, }; The result of the above LINQ query is: /* Date | Clock In | Clock Out 01/01/2010 | 09:00 | 12:00 */ My question is, what is the best way to rewrite the LINQ query above to include the results from the second object I created (Log2), since it has an empty list. In the other words, I would like to display all dates even if they don't have time values. The expected result would be: /* Date | Clock In | Clock Out 01/01/2010 | 09:00 | 12:00 02/01/2010 | | */

  • mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine gives me problems since security patch of MS

    - by Bronzato
    I am busy on this problem since 2 days ago and hope someone can get me out of it. I have Excel 2010 (full install 944Mb) on my Windows 8 computer. It works well. But when I modify my workbook (containing a ListView version 6.0) I am not able to run it on my client's computer. I get the error: Could Not Load An Object. Not Available on This Machine. Even it works well on my dev machine. The reason is: Microsoft applied a Security Patch (near august 2012 I think) on mscomctl.ocx and my Excel 2010 installation files (downloaded not long ago) contains the new version of mscomctl.ocx. The clients using my Excel file don't apply the security patch at this moment. Se everytime I publish my Excel file to client's computers (from my dev environment), I reference the new mscomctl.ocx. That's the problem. I already try to get the old mscomctl.ocx from client's computer and copy & register it on my dev machine but then I got errors (Class not registered, ...) when I create a userform and drag a listview on it. So: mscomctl.ocx on client's machine is version 6.1.98.13 from 2008. mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine is version 6.1.98.34 from 2012. My question: Does someone have an idea how to proceed to have a usable version of mscomctl.ocx on my dev machine? Thank you very much.
