Page reload and we can see result in sgvConversionResults. First 10 rows. But after click next page in pager we have message "There are no items to show in this view". When I try debug I find that after postBack page (on click next page) input params "ds" is blank, ds.Rows.Count = 0 and etc... As though resultDataSource became empty(( What do I do not correctly?.   • ArgumentNullException when accessing a FormView instance

    Background: I have an ASP.NET page which has a numebr of user controls within it. There are 2 user controls which are of interest. I need to display either one of them or neither of them, depending on the record selected previously. In the user controls I need to set properties of some controls which are in a FormView. So in my user control code-behind I have a number of properties which look something like this: Private ReadOnly Property phSectionReports() As PlaceHolder Get Return fvConfirmationReport.FindControl("phSectionReports") End Get End Property The problem: I am having problems with this Property. Sometimes it is returning Nothing/Null and sometimes it is throwing a NullArgumentException with the message "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: container". The exception is coming from trying to reference the fvConfirmationReport variable. fvConfirmationReport is the ID of my FormView in the page itself. So I am really after things to look for and if any ideas what sort of conditions (e.g stage in page cycle, etc.) might lead to this? An example stack trace is included below.     Given a URL to an image (and not the image itself), what's the most efficient of getting it's dimensions? I would like to change the height and width attributes in the image tag (<img>) if it is greater than 200x200. However, if it's smaller than that, then I'd like to keep the size as it is.     My event log is flooded with this message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied has expired. I think this happens when people timeout instead of logout. First of all , this is not an error, it's Type: Information I don't want this information, how do I stop ASP.NET from logging it? My application is not web-farmed, and uses a static machine key.

    I am looking to write a few helpers in my own assembly modeled after the helpers in System.web.mvc. My problem is that I cannot use the call to Tagbuilder.ToMvcHtlString since it is internal. So if I return a string it wont be ready for asp.net 4 when it comes. I dont want to add anything to system.web.mvc as that is a given dll.

    I'm using Master Page in my ASP.net application, in the master page I put a ContentPlaceHolder in Update Panel to support AJAX in child pages, the question is how to stop Refreshing "master page controls" while navigating between pages?     I'm using BITS to make requests to a ASP.NET MVC controller method named Source that returns a FileResult. I know the type FilePathResult uses HttpResponse.TransmitFile, but I don't know if HttpResponse.TransmitFile actually writes the file to the response stream regardless of the request type. My question is, does FileResult only include the header information on HEAD requests, or does it transmit the file regardless of the request type? Or, do I have to account for HEAD requests myself?
