• Integer variable is acquiring a string value of "ad" somewhere along the line, can anyone see where?

  Here is my code: I should get output of the department id (did) as an integer and the templatefilename (result) that is required. The errors I get are: Conversion from string "ad" to type 'Integer' is not valid. I'm fairly new to asp.net and cannot see where the did variable picks up the "ad" string.   Hello, I changed some names of nameapces, assemblies in one of exsisting project(C# and ASP.NET). But when I try to debug it; I get this error. Could not load file or assembly 'HR' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040). I have replced DFI with HR in the code. Please help, Thank you

  I am trying to implement CKFinder in my MVC.Net website, but the default setup only works for regular asp.net websites, so I am trying to alter it to work. One page inherits from a library CKFinder.Connector.Connector. In the old days my aspx would just inherit="CKFinder.Connector.Connector", but how is this done in MVC.NET? Is Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<CKFinder.Connector.Connector>" the same?

  I am currently trying to add 301 redirect to my routes in MVC to do this I have tried to inherit from the MvcHandler.   I have an asp.net app that uses System.IO.Path.GetTempFileName() for temporary files. In the production IIS environment (W2K3), the temp folder (System.IO.Path.GetTempPath()) points to C:\Windows\Temp. But on my XP dev machine it's C:\documents and settings\machinename\ASPNET\temp. Is it possible to change this folder without affecting other accounts on my machine?

  I have an asp.net C# web forms application in .net framework 4 In my pages, when I view html source it changes control IDs to something like ctl00_CPHPageContents_txtUserID actually it is txtUserID This application was first in Framework 3.5 and IDs were generated like CPHPageContents_txtUserID So, in short, in Framework 3.5 Id was CPHPageContents_txtUserID and now in Framework 4 ID is ctl00_CPHPageContents_txtUserID which is breaking our automation tests. Can I remove this ctl00 added by Framework 4?

  Hi all, I know it's a silly question but , My client asked for encrypting some information form their payment system to prevent user stealing personal information. The system is web-base and written by ASP.NET We have tried some annoying solution such as JavaScript no right-click or css-no-print but apparently my client didn't like it. so are there any commercial solution to encrypt information in aspx produced html pages? or someone can tell me how to pursuit my client to stop these "prevent stealing" idea in a web-base system?

I have a bunch of controls and a bunch of pages, and I was going to throw them into Controls and Pages folders with subfolders, but I didn't know if it was bad form to do this if I wasn't also going to seperate them out into namespaces.   How does one control the application recycle settings for an ASP.NET application runnin on mod_mono & Apache ? On IIS6 & 7 there was an option to specify either a time period, a number of requests, etc. when the AppDomain would be recycled and the application would basically do an Application_End() / Application_Start(). I am seeing the same behaviour on mod_mono & Apache ,but I can't find where to change the settings.

When I run the page in Firefox it is working good but I run the page in IE8 it is not rendering toolkit controls and putting "//" characters on the bottom of page.This is happening with every control of toolkit.   I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?
