• Exchange server actively refuses my connection

  I'm writing a ASP.NET application used within our company. Now I want to send emails to some users via a email account on our exchange server. I tried to use System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient, where a proprietary account and password are given to specify the credentials. But the code failed with following exception: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" Is that due to Exchange Server policies to prevent spam? How can I get it to work?

• Move jQuery data() when an element is destroyed and re-created

  Can anyone think of a (preferably quick) way to move the data() attached to a DOM element to a new instance of itself? The lightbox plugin I'm using deletes and re-appends and element to the page in order to display it in the lightbox (to aviod the multiple-ids issue that ASP.net has), and obviously the .data() that is attached to the element is lost when this happens.

  Do you see any problem with this: I'm in ASP.net and I'm using pikachoose jquery slideshow. It works fine in IE and was working in Firefox.   Using ASP.NET 3.5 with VB codebehind. I don't want to use a webservice to populate an autocomplete extender on a textbox. In this case, it's where the user is entering email addresses and I don't want to make a trip to the database every single time. I'd much rather keep a collection in session state and 'bind' the autocomplete to that.   Hello I built a webusercontrol in asp.net which contains a databound dropdown. When I directly put this control into a webform it runs well. But if I try to add this control as childcontrol to another control at runtime Childcontrol childcontrol = new Childcontrol (); maincontrol.controls.add(childcontrol) , the dropdown of the childcontrol is not instatiated (is null) so that I run in an exception by trying to bind the data to the dropdown.
