Problem with acceding in DOM with jQuery

Hello, I changed the tree of my JSON-P output, and i cannot access to my object DOM anymore : Here's my output : jsonp1271634374310( {"Inter-Medias": {"name":"Inter-Medias","idGSP":"14","average":"80","services":"8.86"} }); And here's my jQuery script : success: function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest){ widget = data.name; widget += data.average ; .... I know one level is missing, but if I try to do : data.Inter-Medias.name or data.name.name it's still not working. Any idea please ? I will have case where i'll have multiple Ojbect, so i want to display all of them, how to do that ? for (i=0;i < data.length;i++) Does it look right ? Bonus question : i understand function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) that in case of success this function is triggered, the data is what the script recieved from his request, but i have no idea what textStatus or XMLHttpRequest are here too and why ?! Anonymous iterators blocks in Clojure?

I am using clojure.contrib.sql to fetch some records from an SQLite database. (defn read-all-foo [] (let [sql "select * from foo"] (with-connection *db* (with-query-results res [sql] (into [] res))))) Now, I don't really want to realize the whole sequence before returning from the function (i.e. I want to keep it lazy), but if I return res directly or wrap it some kind of lazy wrapper (for example I want to make a certain map transformation on result sequence), SQL bindings will be gone after I return, so realizing the sequence will throw an error. How can I enclose the whole function in a closure and return a kind of anonymous iterator block (like yield in C# or Python)? Or is there another way to return a lazy sequence from this function?

Is Jquery $(this) broken by jqgrid gridunload method?

Hi all, I want to trace the beginning [& ending] of functions called in Java, like the following code: public void foo() { System.out.println("begin of foo()"); ... System.out.println("e-n-d of foo()"); } But maintaining of the dump code System.out.println is something tedious and error-prone, for there may be tens of thounds of function in an class. Any good idea can ease this work? I don't want dump statements all over the file. Implementation of both or one of the beginning & ending traces is perferd. But, if impossible, recordings of that the function has been called is also helpful. I mean not care the exact beginnig and ending, just tell that the function has been called.

Some input regarding Dojo (smooth css change on mouseover)

I've been playing around with Dojo over the last couple of days. I'm slowly getting up to speed with jQuery and am starting to want to abstract my code. I'm running into problems trying to define click events at page load. MS Access "#Name?" in unbound field on SOME machines

I have a datasheet form bound to table. I added 2 unbound fields and set their Control Source properties to user defined VBA functions: 1. ConcatRelated (http://allenbrowne.com/func-concat.html) 2. Custom function that returns a string: Public Function GetLowestSatatus(LookupField As String, JSAID As Integer) As String On Error Resume Next GetLowestSatatus = DLookup(LookupField, "JsaStatuses", "ID=" & DMin("StatusID", "Tasks", "JSAID =" & JSAID)) End Function It works fine on my and some other machines but there are machines I got "#Name?" in these 2 unbound fields. All machines configured identically. Any ideas? Thank you!

The IIS URL Rewrite Module ships with 3 built-in functions: * ToLower - returns the input string converted to lower case. * UrlEncode - returns the input string converted to URL-encoded format. This function can be used if the substitution URL in rewrite rule contains special characters (for example non-ASCII or URI-unsafe characters). * UrlDecode - decodes the URL-encoded input string. This function can be used to decode a condition input before matching it against a pattern. The functions can be invoked by using the following syntax: {function_name:any_string} The question is: can this list be extended by introducing a Replace function that's available for changing values within a rewrite rule action or condition? Another way to frame the question: is there any way to do a global replace on a URL coming in using this module? It seems that you're limited to using regular expressions and back-references to construct strings, without a search/replace functionality to replace every X with Y in {REQUEST_URI} before issuing a redirect.

Changing A Different Class Display on Hover with Jquery

Ok, here's what I'm trying to do. I have a DIV box with a child element set with DISPLAY: NONE;. I'm trying to use Jquery so that when the mouse enters the parent DIV box, the child element is made visible, and then hides when the mouse leaves the parent DV. There will be multiple divs on the page with these classes. For some reason it's not working. Any ideas? Jquery disable link for 5 seconds

Basically if a person clicks the button and this action happens I dont want them to click and run this action again for another 5 seconds. I looked at delay() to unbind the click for this then bind it again but once it unbinded it never allowed me to click the button anymore.

How do I find the previous/default value of a radio button in JS?

I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I figured I'd ask before clubbing togehter an ugly solution. What I have is a group of radio buttons and I want to trigger a function if the radio button value is changed. For example say there are three buttons X Y and Z with Y default selected. If a user clicks on an unselected button (i.e. X or Z) then the function gets triggered but if he/she clicks on Y (which is already selected) nothing happens. Naturally the best solution would be to fire the function on an onchange event but IE6 doesn't fire onchange until the focus is no longer on the element which is not satisfactory. So is there a way to know what the previous value of the radio button was or at least what its default value is? I could easily create an array of default values and check against that but I'm trying to reduce the overhead. Please no jQuery suggestions ;)

I have a problem with my form when I try to submit with ajax. I am using Malsup Form plugin for Jquery but also using tinyMCE editor. When I submit the form and check the $_POST array, there is no data from the textarea. I have tried to use the triggerSave() function but to no avail. I am able to use jquery toenable/disable radiobuttonlist based on the checkbox value. But the problem is that I want to disable radiobuttonlist at the first time. Sinatra Set Settings (Ruby)

Using Sinatra in Ruby you can set the server's settings by doing: set :myvariable, "MyValue" and then access it anywhere in templates etc with settings.myvariable. In my script I need to be able to re-set these variables falling back to a bunch of defaults. I figured the easiest way to do this would be to have a function that performs all the sets calling it at the start of the Sinatra server and when I need to make the alterations: class MyApp < Sinatra::Application helpers do def set_settings s = settings_from_yaml() set :myvariable, s['MyVariable'] || "default" end end # Here I would expect to be able to do: set_settings() # But the function isn't found! get '/my_path' do if things_go_right set_settings end end # Etc end As explained in the code above, the set_settings function isn't found, am I going about this the wrong way?

List/Grid Toggle for Photo Gallery with Shadowbox

so I'm new to this site, and new to jquery, and javascript as a whole really, but I have very good comprehension of HTML and CSS. For a class in school, I'm making a photo gallery webpage using the Shadowbox plugin. I have that part all down, but one of the requirements is to add some sort of user option that the user can change that will get saved in a cookie. (I haven't gotten to the cookie part yet) For my option, I decided to add a toggle that will switch the view of the page from a grid view (default) with images, to a list view of just the captions of the images. I figured out how to do that, but decided it could probably done in a much simpler fashion with the use of loops. Get variable name as string in Perl

Hi, I am trying to get a text representation of a variable's name. For instance, this would be the function I am looking for: $abc = '123'; $var_name = &get_var_name($abc); #returns '$abc' I want this because I am trying to write a debug function that recursively outputs the contents of a passed variable, I want it to output the variable's name before hand so if I call this debug function 100 times in succession there will be no confusion as to which variable I am looking at in the output. I have heard of Data::Dumper and am not a fan. If someone can tell me how to if it's possible get a string of a variable's name, that would be great. Thanks!
